The Lavensberg Empire
Cyra came down from the tall horse that had brought him back.
But he knew that he did not reach the imperial capital or the city of Duchy that he owned.
"Where are we?" tanya who turned her head to look at the friend as well as the first love in her two lives.
"I stopped at a nearby village, although the population was still a little but the village was quite complete" replied Edward who then came down and walked beside Cyra.
Cyra did not say anything but he knew that the man wanted to book an inn to rest.
"Two rooms, if I could I'd like one next door" Edward said as he ordered.
No one knew if the two were high-ranking nobles.
Cyra is able to hide herself because of the color of her different hair and Edward is wearing a hood like an ordinary wanderer.
"No, give me one room." cut out Cyra who made the man flinch.
"Darling? You want to leave your wife to sleep alone?" her question is then holding the hand of the man who is at her side.
Edward did not deny or deny it, but he nodded to the innkeeper to give him only one room.
...
Now in a room that is not too spacious and maybe for the two people it just looks like a servant room in their respective mansion.
Cyra sat down on the chair that was at the corner end of the inn room and then looked towards her hands.
The dagger that before her went with her to a different dimension was left behind and she did not carry it.
"Like her there's a lot we have to talk about" said Edward who then took a chair and sat near the silent-looking girl as if to calm herself down.
He did not want to ask the reason the girl was lying if they were a married couple but he wanted to ask where and where the girl had disappeared for months like without a trace.
"You're looking for me?" cyra asked who sounded between caring and not when looking at the man who looked so curious.
"Sure! We're all thinking of you! Where are you going and what happened to you!" said Edward who slightly raised his voice because after his longing erupted there was a sense of worry that exploded out so as to give a more turbulent emotional.
"Like hers who really thinks of me there are only a few people and including yourself." said Cyra who knows that not everyone is worried about her and actually there are only a few people who really care about her.
"You made a pact with the devil?" edward asked the shut-in and then asked with an agitated heart.
Cyra silently did not answer and then looked towards the man.
"Where have you been all this time?" ask her again who would like to hear an answer.
"If I told you you'd believe it?" her question was staring at the man, not an answer.
"Yes, I will trust you." replied Edward with believing eyes.
"The place and the other world, it's noisy but for me it's quieter." replied Cyra who stared with eyes that never wavered.
"How did you get there?" asked Edward who did not laugh but wanted to know how the girl could get to a place that he could not imagine.
"Agreement, the answer to your first question." Cyra replied with a faint smile.
Edward was silent for a moment, he stood up and knelt with his one leg staring at the girl.
"What do you want? Why so far? A deal with the devil? You're not sane? You have the power of Goddess Elaine" said Edward who certainly can not accept her.
Cyra smiled faintly at his hearing, he did not spare his decision because he felt the Goddess who was glorified by the entire empire could not even help him.
"From being the incarnation of Goddess Elaine I prefer to be the incarnation of the Devil and..."
"You know what I want, so I hope that when I get back, stay away from me" said Cyra, smiling at the man.
His smile was not as cold as usual, he knew what would happen to the man who was still the love in his heart.
"No, I'll keep following you. Even if you go to hell." replied Edward who then held a small hand that rubbed his cheek.
That faint smile fell slowly, though, his memory is still so vivid that he sees the disembodied head hanging from the palace gate and all the people who pelted it with stones because it was consumed with rumors and slander made by the crown prince by oneself.
"Ed? You may not know, so I'll tell you."
"I'm..."
"Smuch dirtier than you think, you wouldn't say that if you knew what I'd done to get here." his words that say at least a little bit of unholy deeds that he has done to get to my point.
"Then you just have to dirty me too, don't disappear again..."
"I beg you..."
The man stared with his bright eyes, a gentle man with a life of family and sane surroundings.
Cyra could not answer, he did want revenge but he certainly did not want to see the death of those he loved for the second time.
