Chapter 7 - Because We're Friends

Not without reason why Ariana intends to use this good man. Now that Ariana is alone, she needs a partner to avenge all the grudges in her heart, avenge Mario and team 1 at once.

Ariana will make all of Mario's crimes a stepping stone to show himself in the police force, to dismiss all views of him being judged as a useless policeman.

To bring back all the evil words of Team 1.

He's going to make this Mario case to show himself that he's capable.

That way, Ariana will get two flies at once in 1 blow.

And Brother Sean is the perfect guy for his partner, especially about his money. Ariana could use all that money to buy good equipment.

Ariana looked at Sean's brother closely, to make the two become intensely staring at each other.

Sean was increasingly confused, all this time where Sherina had returned her gaze all this time. The woman always turned her face away, as if afraid that Sean could read her heart through this kind of gaze.

Now even the look in Sherina's eyes seemed bolder, there was no more intense fear.

"Aren't you afraid of the dark anymore?" sean asked, she knew about the trauma.

"No," replied Ariana casually.

"How can you?" sean's eyes opened wide. The trauma had tormented Sherina half of her life.

"When I drowned in the river, it was the thickest darkness, but it turned out that I was still alive. So why fear again?" reply Ariana anyway.

Sean was speechless, the more he talked to Sherina the more he saw the difference.

This isn't the Sherina she used to be.

Huh! Sean let out his breath slowly, he also severed his gaze with Sherina, then rubbed his face using one hand.

"All right, I'll help you. Whatever you want, I will obey it. But after this mission is successful, I want you to stop being a cop" Sean replies.

But debating it now is not the right decision.

The most important thing now is to get the approval of this man first, the problem later can be thought about later.

Ariana used to have such devious thoughts, she learned from her own father.

"Well, I'll agree to Sean's wish" Ariana replied.

But the answer that sounded so easy coming out of Sherina's mouth made Sean distrustful.

He had to make a more binding agreement.

"After you're out of the police, let's get married" Sean said in a voice that sounded more assertive.

Speech that makes Ariana immediately delicates with a heart that beats great.

How could he agree to that wish, when his heart did not cling to this man in the least.

All he has is Sherina's memories of Sean, all those good memories.

But it does not make Ariana's heart change, for him this man is still a foreign man.

"We are friends, where we can get married" Ariana replied, try to give up.

"Because we're friends, I don't have to bother getting to know you anymore. We've known each other since childhood, so getting married won't matter, will it?"

Ariana was even more astonished when she heard that sentence, she felt like she was being bullied.

"Jawab Yes or I won't help you one bit" Sean broke up.

Ariana gaped, she thought she had found a way out. But it turns out he's getting into a new trap.
