Episode 31: General Quarters and Launch Torp MK48

Here I am now, on a small island with the soldiers. We fish and dive.

I did not expect this island to have a shallow water so that the coral and fish are clearly visible.

We had a good time on this island, some soldiers were dating, even though they served on different ships, but with freedom this day they could be together. So of course it made the other soldiers envious.

"Your Majesty, your breakfast is ready."

"Ah thank you, what are the others eating too?"

"Everybody was eating on the beach. Thanks to you they're very happy and their morale is elevated."

"It looks like our decision was right, last night's terror has left them with enough nightmares."

"So Your Majesty already knows that... Forgive us for making you worry."

"It's okay, it's the leader's job to know the circumstances of his subordinates."

"You are a very wise leader."

"Let's go out and join in."

I took the plate from his hand and exited the tent. I joined the other soldiers.

There are some soldiers who display their abilities and skills.some are dancing, playing musical instruments, to martial arts skills.

Even if I eat with them, they keep me safe. I was given a special seat.

We kept having fun until noon.

*** POV 3 ***

"Is there still no news?"

"Not sir!"

"It's been 10 o'clock on our target, this week we have to go back to base."

[What if we send a patrol? Surface and below surface?]

Captain Erns speaking over the radio. The radio is currently active and connects all ships in Fleet 01. Captain Erns was the captain of the Bismarck ship, arguably he was the second command of the 01st Fleet.

"It looks like you're right, but it would be dangerous if we sent the submarines because they're blind."

[You're right Admiral, the submarine can only see radar. Telescopes will be damaged if used below sea level.]

[Then is there any advice?]

[Why not give them a show. Like throwing a depth charge or throwing a hedgehog?]

"Your Majesty will be angry if we use threats on them."

Yamamoto tries to use safe means and without using force. The captains also thought of the best thing.

[How about we launch the explosives and get them out. Then if they were we would have told them that we were waiting and that the explosion was a warning for insulting His Majesty.]

[I agree.]

[Bismarck also agreed with that.]

[I also agree, I will not forgive such a person.]

[Submarine units all agree, how's your decision, Admiral?]

Yamamoto was really surprised by the captain's quick response. It's a troublesome problem.

The same alarm goes off on all ships. Everyone is in their position.

"We show them! Destroyer launches depth charge and hedgehog at red dot."

They were surprised to hear Admiral Yamamoto's orders, but they kept following orders according to instructions. They knew the red dot was the enemy's base, only they didn't expect the Admiral to order them to the red dot. It would definitely destroy the enemy headquarters if it was on target.

"First, second, third and fifth explosions were on target. They're moving!"

"Quickly follow their movements, if they move then it will be easier to detect."

Inside the bridge is very crowded but organized. It was as if they had trained hundreds of times and were used to it.

"Sir, call from nuclear submarine 1, Seawolf."

"Connect..."

"Hmmm..."

The Mark 48 is a torpedo with enormous explosive power. And it's deadly for ships. If their post moves, it's already like a submarine. So the Mark 48 does fit that. But the impact is likely to be the total destruction of the enemy outpost.

Yamamoto was silent for a moment, then replied in a low tone.

"Izin given..."

[Yes sir! Torpedo launched. 4 torpedoes towards target.]

[All torpedoes are on target, looking for targets.]

Large bubbles appear not far from the impact of underwater explosions.

Since the radios from Seawolf were connected to all the ships, everyone became tense waiting for the enemy's search results.

[Target not detected... Target was destroyed.]

Everyone would have been happy to hear that, but it was different from some of the captains of the ships. Like Yamamoto, Captain Erns and some people who just keep quiet.

Not that they were happy or sad, they only knew that the result would be as it is today. And Yamamoto wondered if what he was doing was right.

While in the underwater royal palace, panic struck because their outpost was declared destroyed. There were many soldiers who were victims of the explosion.

"Your Majesty this is so bad!"

"We must avenge them Your Majesty! Please let us fight!"

Seadom Kingdom does not have a level of nobility, they only obey the king's orders. Even so many advisors are using their power for bad things.

Nobles or officials alike, they both like to use their power for bad things.

"Shut up!"

King Triden was unable to contain his emotions. He realized that he was being fought by his advisers.

The mood became quiet. But the silence was broken by the opening of the door of the room very loudly.

"Your Majesty! The Leviathan gave us a message!"

"What!"

"Mr Leviathan?"

It definitely caused a commotion in the room. It might have been ten years since Leviathan last gave his word to the fish-man race. For the human race the Leviathan is their god so the word or message from him is something to be raised.

"Wait... Is that true?"

"All the priests in the temple also got the same message. So it's confirmed the truth."

They were all more surprised. Even the message about a major disaster only up to 3 people who received it.

This is the first time in hundreds of years.

"Randomize the message."

The king stood up from his seat and knelt down. Everyone in the throne room also knelt down. It is an obligation that has been passed down since ancient times when the message of Leviathan will be read.

The message was then read by one of the elders there.
