Monica let out a long sigh after finishing cleaning the coffee shop. The night began to dissolve and cold air pierced to the bone. He washed his hands and took off the apron and put it in the pantry locker.
He picked up his thick jacket and put it on, then said goodbye to the shop owner who was also locking the door.
Monica tightened her jacket and put a hoodie on her head, while confirming her backpack, she continued to step towards the apartment where she had lived all this time. Snowflakes stuck to the boots he was wearing. He continued walking down the sidewalk, where he lived two blocks away.
Monica is still upset with Leon who wants to determine the dance and even the training schedule. He had to rearrange his work schedule again, or the worst thing was to reduce his hours.
The apartment building where he lived was in plain sight, some people were still outside. Monica went in and went up to the fourth floor, towards the unit where she lived.
He knocked on the door after arriving at the door of his unit. My mother greeted me with a smile.
"Mama made you some corn soup, your favorite. Let's get in and warm yourself up!" Mama pulls Monica who looks haggard and tired.
"How was your day?" Ask Mama while taking a bowl to put the soup on the dining table.
"Good and bad!" Monica answered flatly while wiping her face after washing her face.
Mom smiled at her daughter's answer. Monica is always so, every day there is always something fun and something sucks.
Monica had now sat down at the dining table with her Mother, a bowl of soup had been in front of her, with bread as her companion.
"Job or college?" Ask Mama.
"Campus." Monica scooped the soup into her mouth voraciously.
"The good news is, I have met my attractive partner, and have determined the theme of the dance. Then the bad news... He sucks! Very annoying and selfish!" Monica sipped the soup until it ran out and put it on the table.
"Is he handsome?" Tempted mama while raising her eyebrows.
Monica only sighed deeply, and raised her shoulders lazily.
"Not really. I'm sleeping first, Ma. Tired." Monica went to her narrow room. He closed the door and threw his body into the bed.
He picks up his phone, then looks back at the video sent by Leon. He looked back at every movement he made in the video.
Arumi's dance is deliberately recorded by Arumi for Leon, as a cure for his longing. Arumi learned this dance from childhood from her mother. It was one of the dances that her mother created while still a dancer. Arumi deliberately made the same costumes and songs as her mother did.
A few days ago, Leon called missed her. So does Arumi who misses Leon. Leon sends out some videos about the winter atmosphere, and he misses Arumi's warmth. In return, Arumi sent the dance video for her. Arumi said that the dance can be performed by more than one person. Because in the past, he often brought the dance with his mother.
Leon saw the list of tasks, there was one of the tasks of pair dancing, he had known his partner, and had the idea to bring the dance given by Arumi. He deliberately did that, because, usually Arumi gives a movement that looks easy, but when done it turns out not as easy as seen.
Monica continued to stare at the video, the longer her drowsiness attacked and her eyes closed until morning.
Monica wakes up, then gets ready to go to college for college. He took classes that morning, so he could train with Leon sorenya. He changed the work schedule that day from noon to afternoon. So that he would get a good salary.
In the afternoon he ran down the campus corridor, towards a room, the place mentioned by Leon. He ran fast because it was a little late. Gasping for breath he climbed up the campus stairs to an empty room that was rarely used.
"You're late!" Leon shouted as Monica opened the door of the room panting.
Monica with a reddened face, trying to regulate her breathing and emotions.
Leon just stared coldly at Monica and tuned her music. Then they immediately practiced, without giving Monica a break to rest.
Monica was exhausted, feeling a little dizzy while doing twisting and jumping movements. He tried to keep following every movement and ignore the condition of his body.
After about an hour they finished the exercise. Leon did not comment much, he immediately wiped the sweat with a towel, then rushed to leave Monica who was still busy regulating her breath.
"Suck!" Bump Monica as Leon's body disappears from behind the door. He didn't care if Leon heard or didn't make it. He ignites his frustration.
He spent the rest of the water in the bottle, then put the bottle in his bag again.
He immediately put his jacket back on and walked out of the room.
Sayup I heard the sound of music coming from a room. He looked behind the slightly open door. He sees a group of students dancing compactly, including Leon.
Monica becomes curious about Leon. Who exactly is that young man. Is that as great as he is? He'll find out.
At home Monica continued to practice her dance. A few times he was a little shivering and he felt his legs sprained and hurt. But, for the sake of the scholarship, he would keep trying. Monica never got any dancing lessons from a teacher or a dancing school. He studied self-taught with his mother.
Her mother used to be a ballerina, but due to being expelled by her family, eventually decided to get out of the dancing school. His mother had a sister who loved him very much. Her brother first married a businessman, and followed her husband. When Papa drives her away, her brother searches for her and finds himself in a homeless shelter. Finally her brother took her to a monastery and gave her some money, before leaving her to return to the country where her husband was.
Elen, Mama Monica's name. Finally life turned, from the son of a rich family, as a result of being lulled in the sweet promise of a man, pregnant, then dumped, and expelled by his family. But he tried to give his best to his daughter. Education, even dance activities as long as he supports.
Elen, had forgotten his parents, and had no intention of going back there. She was determined to raise her own child, no matter what. He was very disappointed in papa and mama who until now never looked for him.
His sister visited several times, and gave some money, even dancing equipment for Monica. Even the rent of the apartment, his brother paid for it. But these few years, he had not even heard anything from his brother. It was as if it disappeared in the swallow of the earth.
Elen had also heard that her sister's daughter was a dancer, and lastly her brother told her she was attending an international dancing tournament in England.
Elen missed her brother. He wanted to share as much with her as ever, especially to meet his niece the talented dancer, like his daughter.
"Youhhhh....!" Peek Monica from the living room.
Elen, hurrying to turn off the stove and headed to his daughter.
"Geez Monica! You okay?" Elen rubbed his daughter's body, helping to sit on the sofa.
His left leg was swollen from a sprain. Elen took the ice, to compress his daughter's legs to relieve her pain.
"Lw... Sick, Ma!" Monica groaned in pain while tensing her legs.
"Here you go, you rest first. Don't force it!" Said Elen.
"My job is next Monday, Ma! There's no more time!" Monica said as she sobbed.
Elen stared at his daughter's phone, which was still playing the dance video they were about to show.
Elen rounded his eyeballs, took his daughter's phone, then watched the video without a blink.
"Marta...?!"
