"You don't usually see me at this hour." Bu Director who was originally named Bu Winnie— must be read Wi-ne— said so shortly after they sat down.
The woman picked up the menu book and mentioned her order on waitress while Rahadyan was trying hard to hold back the nervousness.
Applying for women is not Rahadyan's specialty. Having a child without ever being married for life is proof that the man actually sucks when it comes to dealing seriously with women.
But Rahadyan convinced herself. This time, today, he will stop making his son's consultation as a reason to speak and sincerely say that he likes the Director for the past three years.
"Aren't you pesen?" asked the Director because Rahadyan was busy.
"White water." Rahadyan was too nervous to look at the menu book. The thirty-five-year-old man felt heartburn if he had to think about something else.
The Director who heard it immediately looked at Rahadyan strangely, but the woman decided not to comment. Let's just say a man comes to a restaurant just to drink water it's natural.
"So, what are you talking about?" Mrs Director is straight on purpose.
Rahadyan said there were important things she wanted to talk about so they should meet now. Usually they meet at night or on weekends when each is not busy, especially if there is something to be consulted about Kalista.
But actually lately they rarely meet again, because Kalista has also graduated from school so there is no reason Rahadyan consulted.
"That's ...." Rahadyan.
"So about Kalista saying she wants an internship?" ask the Director who does not know that he wants to be applied. "I was horrified from Kalista, he said he wanted to intern at Julio's office, his brother Sergio."
"So you know?!" rahadyan's response was startled, but hurriedly regained his senses again. "Ehem, I mean, I know Kalista isn't the same apprentice as her older sister but her older brother Sergio?"
Director's mother raised an eyebrow. "Aha, so Kalista doesn't tell? He said he wanted to pursue love or something."
"Mom should have nasehatin. What love is he chasing in the office," Rahadyan grumbled suddenly.
"You're too protective of your son." The Director received the water that the waiter delivered for him and Rahadyan, while waiting for the main menu. "I'm sure once I enter the world of Kalista's office will realize it's not a place to play."
"She's wearing a spam skirt to the office, ma'am. Huh!"
The Director laughed a little. "Well, not long ago his childish behavior will be fair as well. He's an adult."
Rahadyan wants to reply that Kalista and maturity are two mortal enemies, but soon Rahadyan realizes she must talk about their relationship and not just Kalista.
"Okay, Winnie, I like to talk Kalista to you, Miss Kalista's Director but there's something I had to tell you."
The Director nodded. "Yes?"
"I ...."
Whether Rahadyan was talking too long or indeed Miss Director did not have much time, the woman's phone rang first than Rahadyan said.
The director asked for permission to answer and get out of the chair.
"Hello, Sir? Yes, sir, it's me again for lunch. Oh, okay, sir. Good. I finished my lunch and went straight there. Okay, sir, thank you."
Rahadyan smiled welcoming the Director back. "Who?"
"Pak Al," replied the Director casually. "It just so happened that my position as Director Bu had to be transferred to someone else and Mr. Al said I had to meet the person directly."
Rahadyan surprised. "You fired?"
"No. Not so. I went up the department. Mr Al moved me to Asgard University and well, maybe in the future you want to call me Vice-Chancellor?"
Rahadyan opened her mouth and then clenched again. It was encouraging news .. but if it was true that Bu Winnie had moved from the Director of the school to Vice-Chancellor— to Rector, then only one would be certain.
He had no time to prepare for the wedding.
"Congratulation, Mrs Vice-Chancellor." Rahadyan silently clenched the ring box in her pocket and smiled widely. "It just so happens that today I want to say that my Kalista enrolled in Asgard University."
"Ohya?"
Near his hiding wall, Kalista was more cengo.
OHIYA?!
