"Ck! There is no conspiracy, brother! We got married because Brother James agreed to my match with him" Jessie blushed in embarrassment.

"What! The matchmaking?" exclaim Barrack and Shafa together.

They didn't expect Papa they would match Jessie and James.

"So soon did James accept this match?" barrack asked still in disbelief.

"Well, I'll have to wait a year until she's really willing to accept this match" Jessica lamented.

"Huh? A year? Please explain in detail to me, how exactly is your relationship?" barrack asked, still suspicious.

"No why the hell! I don't believe me! Am I too bad for James?" said Jessie who suddenly left and sulked.

"Barra, don't tease your sister! Most importantly James and Jessie agreed to this match without coercion. Just pray for your brother to be happy" Jason said.

"Okay Pa, sorry! I was just a little surprised" said Barrack feeling guilty.

After that they continued talking about Jessie's wedding again, Myra and Bu Farida seemed enthusiastic about choosing the concept of Jessie's wedding and Jason preferred to accompany his granddaughter to play.

While Shafa and Barrack were still silent with their respective thoughts.

We're going to flashback to the past, exactly one year before James receives his match with Jessie.

One year ago,

James Family Mansion, James,

"Ma, please give me a year if I can't find my bride, I'll agree to marry Jessie" James said, sighing.

"Alright baby, I hope that one year you can approach the beautiful girl. She is a kind young girl" Bu Nadia praised Jessie.

"Cih.. Be kind! You sly girl! Just look I'll make you cancel this matchup yourself!" james said in his heart.

The next day, when the break came, James left his office. He wants to talk and see Jessica at his college.

As always, James was handsome and charming. Every girl who saw him could only smile and look at him with their mischievous gaze.

James took his cell phone in his pocket and called Jessica.

📞 "Assalamualaikum Brother James! Tumben called me?" ask Jessie across the phone.

"Not to talk! Where are you again?"

"Again on campus" Jessie replied.

"Where exactly?" ask James again.

📞"In the canteen again lunch,"

"Too!"

Not yet Jessie asked why, James had cut off his phone.

"Dihh, you weird guy! It sucks!" as Jessie scolded James in front of her phone.

"Who's weird and shitty!" james asked, squinting his eyes.

"Yes pardon! It's a shock for James!" Jessie held her chest in surprise to see James behind her.

"I want to talk to you! Come with me!" James pulled Jessie by the hand and walked in front of her.

"Eh but I haven't paid brother! My chicken noodles too I still eat two tablespoons!"

"Ck!"

James stopped his steps and turned to the table where Jessie had eaten and put down a hundred thousand note and he again pulled Jessie's hand to go with him.

While Jessie's friends can only be envious of their romance, when in fact James is very angry at Jessie and Jessie realizes it. And some of them said that Jessie and James were very compatible.

Without much more to say, Jessie complies to go with James. She felt bad, she knew she would return hurt, but she no longer cared. Whatever he's gonna do to get the man of his dreams.

After 45 minutes, they finally arrived at a flower garden a little far from the city center.

Jessie was still following James in front of her until James stopped and sat on one of the benches in the park. And now James and Jessie are sitting next to each other on a park bench.

"What do you mean, telling our parents to make this ridiculous match?" ask James without further ado.

"Sister James knows that I like my brother, I want my brother to be my husband,"

"Hah be your husband! Spoiled and childish girl like you! I'm not sure myself, a girl like you you can be a good wife" James said.

James' words hurt his heart so much but he tried to hold back so his tears wouldn't fall.

"You know Jessie! Until I won't like you! Forever I'm just in love with my beloved Renata, you remember that!" james said with annoyance.

"I don't care! Either way, I'll make Brother James mine" Jessie said confidently.

"I can stand the bad treatment of Brother James, I'm sure I can make you love me!"

"Cihh! So confident of you! I hate you so much right now and I'm going to fail this matchmaking,"

"Okay, I'm not going to give up so soon either" Jessie said.

"Whatever!"

James got up from his seat and left Jessie who was still sitting while looking at her blankly.

He shed his tears unconsciously, recalling his childhood when he first met James. Once their home was close together, Jessie became James' new neighbor.

*Flashback On

One day Jessie was walking around her home complex, trying to get along with her peers. But instead of welcoming Jessie who wants to get acquainted they bully Jessie because she envies the beauty of little Jessie.

They push the little Jessie's body away from them until Jessie falls to the ground.

James, who had just returned from elementary school, accidentally saw the incident and there little James defended him and drove Jessie home.

Since that incident, Jessie always steals James's eyes when accidentally cross paths with him. Even a month later, little Jessie had dared to wait for James on the streets that James always passed when he came home from school just to say hello to little James.

"Sister!" call Jessie when James gets home from school.

"Yes, what's wrong?" asked James with a frown.

"Did you forget about me?" jessie asked shyly.

"Where might I forget a sweet girl like you," James praised casually and Jessie blushed even more and more flowery heart.

James praised not for having more attention on Jessie, but he did admit that Jessie, a beautiful and sweet brown-eyed little boy because of her blaster face.

"Thank you for helping me out at the time, brother. Sorry I just had a chance to say thank you, introduce my name Jessica," Jessie reached out her hand.

"No problem! I just didn't like bullying, and I just happened to be passing by then. Oia, my name is James" said James to receive a helping hand.

And from then on they became familiar, and greeted each other when they accidentally met around their compound. Little James rarely left the house, so Jessie was difficult to get close to the boy.

Until three months passed, Papa Jessie invited Jessie and her Mama to move from there and buy a new mansion in the middle of the city. Barrack, who previously lived with his grandfather abroad, also moved to their new mansion.

Before Jessie leaves her old house, she emboldens to meet little James at her house.

Madam Nadia, James' mother, was initially surprised to see the girl wanted to meet her son, because all this time James was the type of quiet boy. Madam Nadia knows Jessie, because she often sees Jessie playing and often pacing the streets of their compound, she just doesn't think that her son and the girl know each other.

And in the end Miss Nadia called James who was playing in the house and let Jessie sit on the porch of her house.

James walked over to Jessie, who was sitting on a chair on the porch of his house.

"Hi Jessie, what's looking for me?" ask James.

"Hi Brother James, I've come to say goodbye to you because I'm moving out of here in a moment."

"It's a pity we can't see each other again" James said, nodding, "May you be happy in your new home, Jess, remember not to be bullied again, if you're hurt by another child, you better run home" James said.

"Well brother James thank you very much, soon no one will defend me when I bullied other children" said Jessie sadly.

"Don't be sad, someone will defend you someday!"

Jessie nodded, "Sister James don't forget me! Brother James is my hero" said Jessie timidly.

"No, I won't forget you. If we don't meet again, I'll always protect you from anyone who hurts you" James smiled sweetly, to whom Jessie was as hard as her own sister.

"Thank you brother James, I'm leaving!" pamit Jessie who greeted James as a sign of their separation.

And since then, over the years, Jessie and James have never met, but Jessie has never forgotten James' mature and kind figure.

Until they meet again when her brother Barrack and James attend the same High School and become best friends. Jessie is very happy to meet James, hoping to be friends again like she used to be, but when James defended her again from her ex-boyfriend David last time, Jessie instead fell in love with James.

"Jess!" james' call blew his daydream.

Jessie quickly wiped her tears, and turned to look at James.

"Yes sis!"

"It's been almost 15 minutes I wait for you to be parked, you even cool benggong here. Come back, my work in the office is still a lot," said James who pulled Jessie's hand again.

Jessie sighed, for some reason she loved that annoying guy in front of her. James no longer considered him a brother or friend but now he is considered a rival by the man.

"But we haven't had lunch yet! Because my sister's lunch in the cafeteria failed," Jessie pursed her lips.

"Yes, we're gonna stop by Thru Drive for a second,"

Then they left the park and went back to where they were before.
