Chapter 20 - Towards the Dragon's Nest
Dragons are an authoritarian race that mark their territory by dominating monsters weaker than them. Because of such characteristics, dragons are one of the most troubling species of parasitic monsters.
They move based on the breeding season and look for areas full of food resources. Massive immigration of dragons typically sacrifices an equivalent food source to survive humans for six months.
Their appearance is like a sign of the scarcity of food sources that will take place.
The positive? They hunt monsters around their nests.
The negative-side? They make monsters out of their territory and cut down the food sources around them.
They eat everything, sometimes some dragons are known to eat other dragons. Cannibalism was not a strange thing in the eyes of monsters. To survive, they must become warriors who sacrifice everything.
Reports of a dragon nest and a decline in food sources forced my father to investigate. To that end, my father sent a Mercedes to investigate the alleged location of the dragon's lair. I don't know why Mercedes invited Chiyuki to go with her.
These wandering little dragons signified one thing. Their leader had been killed and these little dragons were wandering around uncontrollably. It just so happened that the guided missile I fired hit a huge dragon flying towards our residence.

“I'm a little worried about those little eggs and dragons that might be left in their nests.”
“Didn't Dad have sent Mercedes to investigate? How's the report?”
“There is a cave surrounded by plants that are starting to run out. Looks like the dragons built a nest inside the cave. Mercedes just explored the cave's entrance.”
“Well, should we explore the nest?” my advice.
“Good idea, happens we have a vehicle suitable for it!” My father was suddenly excited.
“Oh.. yes Karl.. can I drive it a little?”
Eh? Whatisthis? I feel a bad feeling about this.
“Em.. preferably not first-“
“Oh! Comeon! Teach your father to drive your vehicle!” My father started to hold my collar and shake my body.
My father sat in the driver's seat.
