I tidied up some of my clothes and put them in a suitcase, suddenly the sound of my bedroom door opened, a strong tattooed hand wrapped around my stomach. Who else if it wasn't Cander who did that, now his chin is resting on my shoulder and occasionally kissing my right cheek.
"You said you were going to wait outside?"I asked him.
"I don't want to be away from you!"Cander answered as he tightened his hug and my face was already red.
"You're so cute"i teased.
"Is it a compliment to me?"he asked with a smile.
"Yeah, sort of. You're so cute,"i teased him again and he chuckled.
"Ekhmm. okay Romeo, can I talk to my niece for a minute,"My aunt's voice from behind especially made us both giggle.
"Ah.. of course, I'll wait outside,"Cander immediately went to walk past my aunt smiling.
"I'll catch up!"I aid and I saw him stop and turn around brief to me with a smile, then walked back again.
I saw my aunt returning her smile,"Wow.it was really, really hot,"my aunt teased while helping me put the clothes I had folded into the suitcase.
"Hmm... why doesn't it come with me?"I asked, looking at him.
"Are you guys going to ride a big car or motorcycle?"my aunt called to change the subject.
"Have you had any problems with any of Cander's friends?"I asked again.
"Okay this is ready"my aunt again did not answer and she still changed the subject.
"Auntie, what's wrong with the real aunt?"I asked and this time I grabbed her right hand.
"Forget about the auntie thing and go, Cander and his friends are waiting for you!"my aunt ordered's.
"I want to listen to a story, aunt!"I forced her while looking at her with a shining face.
"Where should I start?"my aunt asked, looking me in the eye.
"I want to hear it all!"I answered enthusiastically.
"It will be long, baby!"my aunt warned with a smile.
"That's fine. I really want to hear it!"answered, smiling sweetly.
I saw my aunt getting quiet as if thinking about something, she starred straight at the wide open door to my bedroom. I'm getting more and more curious about the story it has, but it seems that the story isn't a happy ending story. I had no idea that my good-natured aunt had a bad memory with a man.
Lena VOP....
Back Flash.
In early summer...
At that time I was a second batch of high school students. I was known as a Scholarship student, because I could not afford my own education. Both of my parents are not from the rich and they have also died, I am still supported by my brother-in-law but I can't keep making it difficult for him.
In the middle of the semester there was a new transfer student from abroad, everyone was talking about him because he always lost a jacket and it was summer, they were all scared of the boy but not of me. He has no friends at all and always goes to the forest behind the school. His name was Lathan Alharoon.
One day I followed him into the woods because I was curious about what he was doing in the quiet and dark forest. But his steps were too wide while I was still very far behind him, and he started to appear into the thick of the trees.
I got lost in an uninhabited forest, I kept walking and fell when I stepped on the mossy tree roots, suddenly a man's hand filled with pictures was in front of me.
I looked up and found the transfer student taking off the jacket he normally wore, he was now wearing a black short-sleeved shirt and was right in front of me smiling.
"What are you doing in this forest?"he asked and for some reason I liked looking into these pairs of reddish brown eyes.
"I.."i cut him off.
"Following me?"he guessed's.
"Akhhh."i moaned when I felt pain in my knees and saw blood coming out.
"Are you okay?"he asked.
"Yeah, it's just a scratch,"i lied while trying to cover it from him.
"It'll be bad if it's not treated!"he cried and he immediately took me in his arms.
At first I was shocked and nervous by the man's treatment, but his intentions were good and he treated my wound with great care. Starting from there I really like it, instantly my heart flutters. Hia smile can make me feel very comfortable and happy.
After that everything felt more beautiful, I became her friend, we were very close, going in and out of the forest became our custom after class ended. Sometimes we don't hesitate to share all the worries we each experience, after that we're dating and it all feels great.
However, everything is not always as happy as in the romantic movies I often watch.
It's true what people say, there is no perfect relationship there must be some problems and fights in it. Happiness doesn't always come all the time, and it comes to me.
At the end of the high school year, to be precise, in the very cold autumn. Me and him were near the edge of the road which was very quiet from road users, and not far from school. I stood not from the street light and he was in front of me looking at me with his beautiful eyes.
"I can't be with you any longer!"his words stabbed into my chest.
"Why?"whispered.
"Since we are different, I don't like differences,"he answered while looking at me with a flat face.
"Why?"I asked again just wanted to find the right reasons.
"I will leave here. There I will be myself, I will meet my partner and you also have to find your own partner. One day you will join hands and spend the rest of your life with the man who will later become the father of your children, "Lathan called out and this time he turned his face away from me.
"I want to be with you,"my tongue is sticking out.
"No... Can't. More precisely, I don't want to, I'm sure we will meet our respectful partners and live our separate lives. Forget about us, pretend that none of this ever happened. Or pretend that I never existed.in your life, this is not real,"he cried and this time he approved me while staring at me intentionally.
"I beg you to stop, don't say such things!"I ordered and this time he helped both of my hands.
"I have to say it, you are not a part of my life. And I don't want you in my life, and everything that happened was just a coincidence that should never have happened between us."
He let go of his hand from mine, then walked straight away.
I'm still in the same place begging in my heart for him to turn around and look at me, I'm crying and can't do anything. I wanted to blow, making the leaves that had fallen scattered on the road fly around me. Making my gaze distracted, Lathan got further and disappeared.
Days passed, months changed and years were forgotten, I still oft visit at the same time and place. However, there was no sign of him. I haven't forgotten her, I haven't completely erased what she said from my mind and I'm still waiting for an excuse. Because I know it wasn't the real reason, there was something I didn't know about him and Lathan kept it from me.
"Auntie.auntie,"Vina called out, shaking my arm. I woke up from the reverie of my hard times, I looked toward him who was still waiting.
I smile,"Looks like not now, aunt will promise to explain it someday."
I see Vina sniffling.
"City, Aunt. I have to go, Cander is waiting... I will call Auntie as often as possible and persuade Auntie to stay with me,"she answered enthusiastically as usual.
"Ok. have fun"i said and I saw a man named Cander appearance at the door, smiling and looking at Vina.
"Bye, aunty,"Vina immediately stood up and approved the man who was still faithfully staring at her with a shining face. I've been through the same thing as them, but it was so long ago and I've forgotten what it felt like.
"Be careful on the road, and for you a grown man. Take good care of my nephew, otherwise you are in danger!"I thoughtened his and I saw his face getting nervous, I quickly laughed and Cander and Vina immediately started laughing too.
Cander paid my nephew's suitcase up to the car, there I saw a man already in the driver's seat and a man named Lathan leaning on the left side of the car. He glanced at me but I tried to ignore him.
"Auntie, I'll go first. Dahhh...."Vina cried and she waved her hand.
The two of them entered then Lathan still leaned back while looking at me, I turned around and walked towards the door. I saw them all get into the car and it walked away from my house.
I closed the door of this house and the Scarf was coddled around my feet, I squatted down intending to stroke it but it wasn't a smile that I felt but pain, I felt down, a result of an old wound that had come back after so long I struggled to get it out of my mind. The man came back again after he left me.
