My mother's nanny

My mother's nanny
chapter 37

Ardi continued to pray, he had done all he could. Giving his blood to the wife who had fought risking her life to give birth to her child. Ardi also kept Diah for almost two days unconscious because of heavy bleeding that Diah experienced. Ardi looked at Diah's face, continued to pray and clasped his wife's fingers. Slowly, Ardi could feel Diah's fingers moving. Ardi quickly looked at the hand, then looked at the face of his wife who still looked asleep. Jemari Diah moved again, Ardi directly pressed the button on the side of the bed to call the nurse.

Before long the doctor came with several nurses, examining Diah closely. Ardi kept hoping anxiously to wait. Diah's eyelids moved, and slowly opened. Ardi felt so grateful that he was at a loss for words.

"Alhamdulillah," said thankfulness mbok Tini and also Miss Dewi who was waiting for Diah.

"Alhamdulillah," said Ardi following in a soft voice.

"Mother Diah, don't be too forced, I just realized, what do you feel?" Ask doctor.

"A little dizzy doc."

"It's okay, it's normal. Welcome back, Miss Diah."

Diah's eyes rolled around the room. Seeing the Goddess who smiled with relief and tears, Mbok Tini who was holding a small baby, two doctors and nurses. And finally, Diah's eyes fell on her husband. Diah closed her eyes, feeling very unsettled, but also feeling relieved. Looking back at her husband's face, Diah shed tears. Then go back to sleep.

"Why is my wife sleeping again doc?"

"Let Miss Diah rest first, she is still recovering. At least, Miss Diah is conscious." The doctor's light."Later when Miss Diah wakes up again, give a little warm drink. Don't give him food first, we'll prepare a special meal for him."

"Okay, thanks doc."

Ardi looked at Diah who had closed her eyes again. There was sadness and pain in his heart.

That night, Diah opened her eyes, looking at the ceiling of the hospital room. The anti-septic aroma that became typical of the hospital was smelled by his nose. Diah felt her hands so warm, Diah's eyes fell on the figure of the sleeping man with his head resting on the side of the gurney and clasping his hands.

"Did he hold my hand all night?" Mumbled Diah. Eyes turned softly. Trying to get up and sit back, but the pain in his stomach made Diah undo.

"Diah, are you conscious?" Tini's voice surprised her a little.

"My son..." Lirih Diah's.

"Small is sleeping there." Show Tini's mbok at the baby box not far from Diah lying down. Diah tried to pull the hand that Ardi was holding. The movement of his hand made the man strengthen his grip and slowly Ardi's eyes opened. Immediately Ardi raised his head, seeing that Diah had opened his eyes, Ardi was very grateful.

"You awake? How you feeling? You need anything?"

Diah immediately pulled his hand out of the husband's grasp. And move her to her side. Disappointment surrounds them. Facing Ardi made Diah feel uncomfortable. And choosing to take a look, Diah tried to get up sitting once more. Seeing Diah's movements, Ardi immediately helped by slightly upholding the ridge of the gurney.

"Is this enough? How you feeling? Is anyone sick?" That worried question made Diah even more uncomfortable. However, he chooses not to answer all of Ardi's questions, and assumes the man does not exist.

"Mbok, I want to see my son."

Mbok Tini picked up the baby who was still asleep in the box and brought it close to the mother. Diah smiled at the girl she just saw tonight. Kissing the adorable little face, until the girl squirms.

"She's so pretty."

"Yes, like his mother" said Ardi, trying to dilute the tension between himself and Diah.

"What do you need? Let me get it."

Diah didn't budge and tried to pick up the bottle on top of the storage cabinet.

"Drink? You want a drink?" Ardi took the medium-sized bottle and took out a straw, unsealed the bottle and put the straw in it. Ardi held out a bottle towards Diah. Diah leaned again on her back, and set her breath without receiving a bottle from Ardi.

"Bok, can I have some water?"

Ardi smiled wryly, he knew he was ignored by his wife. However, he remained positive and understood Diah's attitude. Looking at Diah's attitude towards her, he really knew what it was to ignore. Mbok Tini looked at Diah, then looked at his master with a look of pity. In slow motion, Ardi handed the bottle he brought to Tini's mbok.

"I'm out for coffee first, mbok. Please take care of Diah and our daughter for a moment." Ardi said softly, trying to hide the pain in his chest.

"Yes, sir."

Ardi turned to look at Diah who was not looking at him at all. The woman chose to look at the sleeping baby in her arms. Slowly Ardi's hand moved about to touch his wife's head. However, he immediately paused, smiled faintly at Tini's mom and left Diah's room in the care.

Diah breathed a sigh of relief as soon as Ardi left. Mbok Tini approached and helped Diah drink by holding the bottle, because the woman was still holding the baby.

"Have you?"

"Thank you, mbok."

"Let's take a break first huh," persuaded mbok Tini to take over the bitch after putting Diah's drinking bottle."you rest too."

"Thank you, mbok."

Mbok Tini stared at Diah for a moment, slightly glancing at the entrance that a moment ago Ardi passed to get out. Mbok Tini let out a heavy sigh.

"You shouldn't be so with Mr. Ardi, Diah." Mbok Tini began to voice his objections to Diah's attitude towards Ardi."Mr. Ardi is your husband. He's been looking after you from morning till I see you in the morning. Mr. Ardi has also donated a lot of blood to you. He was so worried about you that he forgot to eat." said Mbok Tini again,

"Bok hear you guys want a divorce, think again, yeah. Pity her if you're divorced. Madam told me the same. Mbok knows you must be depressed by Mr. Ardi's attitude, but he is actually good Diah. He loves you. During the work mbok join nyonyah Goddess, never once mbok see Mr. Ardi cry. But, yesterday... She's really scared of losing you, Dad."

Mbok Tini was silent pausing for a moment of his speech. Staring at Diah who chose silence, mbok Tini sighed again.

"You're the truth, love is not the same Mr Ardi?"

Diah's tight-lipped,

"Mr Ardi really cares about you, Diah. Don't be stubborn..."

"Bok, my head's dizzy, I'm going to sleep." Cut Diah was embarrassed, mbok Tini continued to talk as if he understood the real situation without knowing what he had been through all this time.

Mbok Tini sighed once more. "Yes, rest."

A few days later, Diah and the baby finally came home. Although still ignored by Diah, Ardi still behave as well as possible to his wife. Trying to understand the attitude of Diah. He understood why Diah was like this. All because of the reciprocity of his attitude in the past that has made Diah disappointed and frozen. This time, Ardi will put all his feelings aside. Fight for Diah's heart so that their household doesn't end.
