Chapter 24: The Warning

Daniel awakens. The first thing she saw was the little girl still asleep in her arms. Her innocent face is adorable.

Unaware, he smiled. Observe the bores on every inch of Airin's face.

Realizing the whimper of Airin, maybe soon this girl will wake up, Daniel again closed his eyes to pretend to sleep.

Daniel opened his eyes after Airin closed his eyes. Daniel smiled in silence at Airin's sleepy behavior, his hands raised against Airin's forehead, his fever down. Airin's probably better tomorrow. At 9 p.m. Adnan just got to the Mansion.

"Where did you just come home from?!"

The sudden voice heard in the main room, made Adnan turn his head and half surprised.

"Sister!! You're here? Since when? Has it been a while?" Adnan's strangling reflexes were aghast.

"Lumayan. Since then. Where are you from?" Ask Andra who came to his sister's mansion after seeing the behavior of her brother who cheated this morning.

"From the company." He answered casually, then took a sitting position on the sofa opposite his brother.

Andra didn't say anything else. He just smiled wryly and found out his sister was quite good at lying. Andra stared flat at her sister who was getting busy with her own phone.

"How's your wife doing?" Ask Andra that.

"He's kind. You know, he was invited to go to China with brother-in-law, maybe now they're having fun." Answer Adnan.

"Maybe?!! Did you never contact your wife as long as she was gone until you answered maybe?!" Ketus Andra provoked Andra's answer that he wanted to hear the reason for that.

"He just called me this afternoon."

Adnan replied, but from the beginning his gaze was not diverted from the mobile phone. Makes Andra very angry.

"Your wife nothing happened, yeah. You ever think about it if Airin's sick?" Andra always asks trap questions.

"Where is it possible that someone who comes to the country someone is sick. They're gonna have fun." Answer Adnan. He thought his brother was stupid.

Andra knew her sister was lying because Daniel, who was guarding Airin, was always telling the two men and his wife. And just an hour ago Daniel called her, told her that Airin was better. And from noon till evening Airin fell asleep.

"You've actually contacted your wife?"

"Hmmm..." The answer is simply to throb.

"Then, where did you come home from?"

"Tck, I told you. I'm from the company? Where else but I worked all day there." Annoyed Adnan to snarl.

"Till last night?" Andra continued to interrogate.

Adnan was silent for a moment.

"The client suddenly met me suddenly when I wanted to go home after my meeting with Mr. Maxim."

"Client?! Wh who? Your assistant said that no guests came this afternoon. Even he came home last." Said Andra who conspired with Reynand Adnan's personal assistant.

"What do you mean, brother?" Adnan asked in shock.

"Think carefully before you act. I'm leaving." Andra threw his sister's body from sitting on the sofa until she fell on the floor.

Andra just went past Adnan. Not glancing at Adnan who was looking at him confused.

"You awake?" Welcomed Daniel to ask.

Airin turned to the man standing beside the open door.

Daniel walked over to the bed.

"Is it better? Still dizzy?" Daniel asked me so softly. His hand was moved checking Airin's forehead.

"I'm fine, sir. I seem to be healthy. Thank you for taking care of me, you're very sick, and I'm sorry if you've been bothering me too much, Mr. Daniel..."

Daniel smiled and lightly ruffled Airin's hair.

"Bandah! I have prepared warm water for you. After that, we ate together. I'll wait downstairs."

After that, Daniel went out of the room and Airin began to clean up.

Before long, they were in the dining room.

"Sir, when are we going to catch Kirana and Kak Della to Beijing? They must be waiting for us." Ask Airin between their meals.

"We're not going there, Airin. We'll go straight home." Answer Daniel.

Airin looked at Daniel confusedly.

"Why? Because my sister and Brother Andra are going to pick them up this morning to Beijing? Then, what about us?!"

"After you've fully recovered, we'll return to Indonesia."

"But I'm healed. Are we going back now?"

"No, we'll be back the day after tomorrow!" Daniel said with emphasis.

There were so many questions that Airin wanted to ask in his mind. Why the day after tomorrow because they can go home now?!

13:45 Hours in China.

Airin was bored all day at home. Since then, he has been looking for busyness. "You want to come back later in the afternoon? Why rush? Miss your husband?" Ask Daniel that. He still wants to spend a lot of time with Airin.

Daniel's joke teases Airin, and gets a sleigh answer from the girl.

"Not so, Kirana's sister called earlier, said they've come home and they think we've come home earlier than them." Said Airin bowed in sadness.

"So, you want to come back too?"

Airin nodded.

'Not for this afternoon. You just recovered we're home tomorrow, yeah!" Insisting Daniel seems to forbid and buy time for longer.

"But I'm completely healed, brother. Lookie! I'm healthy." Airin tried to convince the man in front of her by turning around so that the man could look around.

"Mr Daniel, we're coming home this afternoon, huh?! Yeah. yeah..." Airin was very clear to ask for a quick return. Like a child who asked to be bought by Kinder Joy by his mother.

Daniel took a deep breath trying to be patient.

"alright. We're going home this afternoon. After this we pack things." Daniel finally collapsed and was forced to bury his dream to keep waiting longer with Airin.

Airin clapped, cheering happily. Making Daniel who saw him laugh with anxiety.
