My wife is not my sister

My wife is not my sister
IBA — Chapter 13

Kara and her new family are enjoying dinner together. Although it is incomplete because Arsha is not home yet, but Kara is quite happy. At least this is able to treat his longing for the father.

“Kara, what time's college tomorrow?” ask Dita when they're done eating.

“Jam four possible, Ma. Why?”

Azka and her papa listened to the chatter of her daughter-in-law and mother-in-law. They know, Kara's presence in this house makes Dita rarely nag.

“Ikut Mama monthly shopping yes, later Mama pick up,” invite Dita. He thought that by shopping together, maybe their relationship would get closer again.

“Mama already got girls yes,” comments Azka.

“From the first mama ‘kan did want to have a daughter. Kara's arrival is like an answer from Mama's prayer, yes ‘kan, Ma?” Tio explained.

Kara is deeply flattered by the Azka family's treatment of her. Her shadow of a cruel in-law figure was completely lost to the warmth of her new family.

“I'm glad that Mama would pick me up at college. In the past, when I was in elementary school, I felt really picked up by a mother, but my father said, I will not get married because I do not want to make mother sad.” Kara looked down sad.

However, Dita does not want to make Kara sad.

“You want to hear your story with Azka when you were a kid?” ask Dita.

“What story is this, Ma? Do not open disgrace,” said Azka suspiciously.

Dita was already smiling while Kara raised her head again.

“So, Azka was ten years old when you were still in the stomach. We used to go to your house because of neighbors. Azka it's already like you from your birth. In the stomach like to kiss, right you were born also still like to kiss.”

“Because of that time ‘kan I want to have a younger sister, Ma. But the one born was Arsha,” Azka said quickly.

Kara's question made her husband and her two in-laws quiet, but she immediately smiled so that Dita did not feel guilty.

“I mean Kara's, ‘kan Mama same Mama close, means Mama has a lot of stories about Mommy dong? Kara never asked Dad because Dad must be very sad when talking about Mom, but Kara was just curious about Mom. Mom wants to tell Mom sometime, ‘kan?”

Dita hugged Kara tightly. As a girl who grew up without her mother's affection, Kara must be very expecting a mother who loves her sincerely.

When Kara and Dita were still hugging, Arsha came home with her guitar.

“You just got home, Sha?” tio asked his second son.

“Iya, Pa. I will eat later if it is quiet,” replied Arsha who then walked to his room.

“I go to the room first, Ma, Pa.” Azka precedes Arsha before climbing the stairs.

“Eat first, Sha.” Dita calls Arsha after Azka leaves.

Kara knows that the relationship between the two brothers is not okay. Azka and Arsha avoided each other and did not want to say hello.

Arsha complies and heads to the dining table after her brother leaves. Dita and Tio were tired of reprimanding the two who were either wretched about anything to the point of not wanting to say hello.

A guest suddenly came and made Tio and Dita go to see him. Stay Kara and Arsha alone at the dinner table, because Kara still enjoys home cooking Dita.

“Kak Arsha, we are one campus loh,” said Kara. He opened a chat with his sister-in-law whom he instead called brother.

“If on campus don't tell me we're one house yes, because on campus no one knows that I'm your husband's sister.”
