Nirvana crawled between the white sand with the rest of his strength. Next hand stretched forward until the fingers managed to touch the black katana glove. Meanwhile, Alisa pulled the tip of her sword on a man's chest until it fell lifeless.
A thick red liquid forced out of Nirvana's body, so the man was forced to vomit it. The appearance of blood spots, indicating that he was seriously injured due to the consecutive attacks that have been received. But the young man tried to get up even though his body looked weak helpless.
When Nirvana pulled the flat blade of the katana from its sheath, the young man felt an aura of darkness encircling his body. Although he nodded at the handle of the katana with the taper end facing down, the man recalled a chest-slashing story.
.::Flashback::.
Kyoto-Japanese.
February 13, 2019
"Nirvana, to be a knight is not judged by how sharp his sword is, nor by how valiant he is. But with sincerity to help others, in order to defend those who are weak. That's the real soul of the knight."
Nirwana clenched both hands on her thighs. He bowed to show his respect. "Thank you very much, Yamato-sensei."
The figure of the middle-aged man in his black suit stared far out the window, looking at the crystal-clear water grains that rained down on the surface of the ground.
"I know that every human being has limits in his or her life. But the struggle remains, as we are required to be role models for them."
Nirwana who was still turning her back to the man could only nod slowly. While Yamato's gaze was increasingly glued to the far expanse of gray clouds.
"You have taught me many things, so that I can understand more and more the meaning of the words," Nirvana bent down to show her respect. "Once again... Thank you very much, Yamato-sensei."
.::Flashback::.
As Nirvana slowly opened the pair of eyes, a pair of hands clasped tightly at the base of the katana with the tipped end of the flat blade facing downwards.
The appearance of the tip of the katana taper to the surface of the sand, followed by a loud shout that echoed in all directions.
"GRAND CHARLOTTE...!"
*jleeb!
The expanse of clouds enveloped the dim beauty of the full moonlight, displaying a flash of light over the ocean with a bolt of lightning crashing down in all directions. Meanwhile, an aura of darkness shrouded the flat blade of the katana, mingling with tongues of fire that burned the surface of the ground.
The black flames combined with the aura of darkness creeping from toe to head, enveloping the body of a man named Nirvana. While behind his back, the shadow of a knight with a stout stature wrapped in steel ornaments. A man with long hair in a ponytail behind his head, as well as a thick mustache that dominated his face.
The loss of the tongues of fire that burned Nirvana's body, turning the black suit he wore into a samurai ornament of red color. A gold-patterned layer of steel metal carved into each corner of his body with the lion's head emblem on his chest, as well as long silver hair unraveled with an alloy of red skull masks wrapping around his face. A pair of horns adorned his forehead, making the knight look like a demonic bearer even a calamity.
The figure of the girl in a kimono that stood under the cliff seemed to observe every change in Nirwana's body. With a pair of arms folded over her chest, the girl is seen leaning her back against the side of a cliff that rises high behind her body.
"I had guessed that the young man was not an ordinary man, but rather a chosen knight destined to inherit the demonic power of the gatekeeper of hell." Akina cheered a smile. One hand is still folded in front of the chest, while one elbow is bent with the back of the hand against the chin.
"Who's the real girl... His arrival will only damage the atmosphere" said Akina.
A man was seen upholding the flattened blade of his sword up in the air. His position, which is behind Alisa's body, has the potential to slash the girl's head. While Nirvana looks to spur the pace with all the strength resting on both legs.
"Die you boy!" growled the tall man while upholding the sharp blade of his sword.
A flash of black shadow spurred the speed of a step as the sword swing shot forth fiercely from behind the expanse of air. The ornate warrior figure of the samurai instantly appeared behind Alisa's body, in order to pull off the sword swing with the flat blade of the katana.
"It's not as young as Perguso" Nirwana said.
From the side of the thigh, Nirwana's fist darted high into the air so as to give a hit on the chin of a man. The man immediately slammed into the white sand opening.
Nirvana slightly raised his chin, staring away at the gray cloud that no longer enveloped the dim moonlight at that time. After taking a breath, he immediately jumped up into the air while upholding the katana handle with the tip taper facing down.
A pair of legs imprinted the man's stomach. Nirvana's right hand held the handle of the katana tightly, while his left palm rested on the tip of the base which exerted pressure on the taper end of the weapon. A thick liquid of red color splashes into the air as the sharpness of the taper tip of the katana that cuts through the skin to penetrate the heart of a man.
Alisa and Nirwana stepped back simultaneously until their backs touched each other. The girl squinted until her blue bead glanced at a young man who now seemed to be standing behind her.
"Now I believe that you are the figure told by the villagers. Your brutal way of fighting shows that you are not a knight, but a demon born in the world to judge sinners."
"That's it, huh?" Nirvana sighed while aligning the flat blade of the katana on her right temple. "Let's say I'm a life-seeking angel who will send them into the afterlife."
"Sure," Alisa cheered a smile, while the breeze blew away every strand of her hair that decomposed. "Oh, yeah. I forgot what your name is..."
"Nirvana Jaya Saputra."
"A beautiful name, containing the meaning of heaven and the glory of a man," Alisa's gaze was immediately diverted to the figure of the girl in a kimono standing under the granite cliff. Alisa flinched and she said, "That girl... Unmistakably, he is Yoshino Akina, one of the users of the Imperial Arms weapon."
The sound of a voice that can disturb a pair of ears, making Nirwana to turn his eyes on the figure of a girl with black black chirp with red pattern. The figure is seen folding one arm in the abdomen, as well as the back of the hand that supports the chin.
Nirvana was shocked. "What?! Why is the face and clothes he wears are very similar to the figure of Edna, one of the characters Julia has described in my previous novel."
Alisa furrowed her eyebrows. "Whatchu mean? Who are Julia and Edna?"
Nirwana shook slowly. "Eitherway. It's hard for me to explain everything."
Nirvana's view rounded for a moment when he found a dagger lesion that almost scratched his iron armor. The young man who had aligned the flat blade of the katana on his right temple, immediately pulled the tip of the weapon taper into the neck of the victim to penetrate the nape of the opponent.
*sleeb!
A burst of blood splashed across the expanse of air, becoming an ornamental spot of stain on the flat blade of the katana. The man accidentally released his sword until the weapon slid down on the sand. A pair of hands clutched his bloodied neck. Without mercy, Nirvana kicked the man's chest to the ground and fell with a wound to his neck.
