One and Only
63 - Badge of Honor.

After waiting for a while, one of the previous palace prison guards went back to meet Yura and Arvan.

"So, how? Are the two of us able to meet and talk directly with the guard chief here?" ask Yura

"Yes, you two can meet the chief. Come on, follow me."

Yura and Arvan gave a small nod, then followed the palace prison guard to approach the palace prison guard's head post.

"Excuse me, Chief. These are the two people who asked to meet."

"Alright, let them both talk to me. You go back to duty."

"Okay, good-bye. Then I'll be back. Excuse me ...."

"Thank you for driving us both to meet the guard leader" Yura said before the palace prison guard who drove past.

The palace prison guard only gave a small nod and continued to move on from there.

"The President, there is a Great Advisory Lord who wants to meet with me. Say, what is there you want to talk to me about?" ask the palace prison guard.

"Sorry, but this time I only accompany this Miss to meet you," said Arvan because he had also accompanied the King to meet the head of the palace prison guard.

"alright. Well then, what was the need until Miss came here to look for me?"

"My need to come looking for you here is to take evidence of one of the crimes kept here, a pair of killer dancing fans".

"So, I mean Miss is the property of that fan dancer. I'm sorry, but that pair of fans is a crucial piece of evidence of a major crime. I can't just give it away so easily."

"I will give you my badge as redeemer. Can't you just give that stuff to both of us for a while?" ask Arvan

"Sorry, Sir. That can't either. If I am wrong in taking action, I will be sentenced for negligence."

"Are you still unable to give it to the two of us despite having been given permission directly by His Majesty himself?" yura asked while revealing the golden badge that the King had given her.

Neither the head of the palace prison guards nor even Arvan became dumbfounded when he saw Yura take out the King's golden badge. The two did not expect that Yura had already had the privilege of the King.

"That's the badge of honor of His Majesty."

"really. Your Majesty himself gave this golden badge to me directly" Yura said

"It would be different if His Majesty himself had given permission directly. All right, you two can bring that pair of dancing fans. Wait a minute here, I'll get the goods from the evidence storage room first."

"Yes, please go ahead .. " Yura said

Yura and Arvan had to wait again when the head of the palace prison guard was about to retrieve the murderous fan property from the evidence storage room.

Back then, despite being curious about the King's golden badge kept by Yura, Arvan refrained from asking. The man simply did not want the veiled girl beside him to feel careless if he was talking too much. For now Arvan just wants to continue to be by Yura's side to accompany her.

"In this box, two fans of the killer dancer's property were stored. You can take him." The head of the palace prison guard gave a box to Yura and Arvan.

Yura first opened the box to check it and rightly, the contents of the box were a pair of fans made of sharp iron.

Yura's jaw hardened as she imagined the moment the iron fan scratched her twin sister's neck to inflict a fatal wound because at the time of the incident, the fan was also covered with poison. What's more when the incident happened, Yura wasn't there beside her twin sister to protect her. Yura felt guilty for that even though it was not her fault and even though she had come to help bring the antidote to save her twin sister even once. Yura still felt herself overwhelmed with guilt because she couldn't exist for and when her twin sister needed her.

"I remember, it was true that this was the fan used to injure Her Majesty the Queen at the time of the incident ." Arvan said.

"Alright, thank you for being willing to give this to both of us. Well then, wouldn't you need both of our fingerprints after this as proof that you gave this thing to lend to both of us?" ask Yura

"Maybe what Miss means is self-data?" ask the head of the palace prison guard.

"Writing self-data is too much of a hassle, so it is not necessary. It is better to directly fingerprint only which is easier and faster. After all, fingerprints can also reveal a person's identity. Please prepare immediately so that we can provide both of our fingerprints," explained Yura

"Alright, I'll get it ready right away." The head of the palace prison guard immediately took the paper and stamp to be affixed to the fingers of Yura and Arvan, then printed the second fingerprints on the paper provided.

Yura and Arvan also do fingerprints on each nasing a different piece of paper.

"Well, this way the evidence is legitimately made."

"Thank you for being willing to talk and accept our request despite having to do the process quite troublesome. Sorry also if there is a treatment of both of us, especially from me who offends or is less pleasing to you" said Yura

"Then, we'll both leave soon. Excuse me," said Arvan

Yura and Arvan were gone from the post and even left the palace prison with a box of evidence.

"We have evidence of his attempted murder. Then, are we going to go straight to the gun shop you were referring to earlier?" ask Arvan

"Of course, what else to wait for? The sooner it is done, the more the ceoat is resolved, then it is better .. " replied Yura.

"However, usually the gun shop will open a little later because the time will not be until past midnight. If we leave now, maybe the gun shop is still not open" Arvan said

"I understand. You should have just said it right away," Yura said

"Yura, you took the evidence this time, is it because you want to use the method of interrogation when you do the investigation later?" ask Arvan

"Yes, it was already in my plan, but I will do it as a last way to get some definitive information. Because I want to finish everything clearly, immediately" said Yura

"Then do you know who you'll meet to be interrogated?" ask Arvan

"Yes, already. It was the man who delivered this pair of fans to the dancer. I'm guessing he was one of the workers at the gun shop. Either he it's probably just a courier or a forger. I'm pretty sure we can find him" Yura explained

"Then do you know the character of that person?" ask Arvan

"Yes, already. Of the few servants who knew and I asked, I even sketched out that person's face," yura answered while showing a piece of paper taken out of her bag depicting a portrait of someone's face on Arvan.
