Lescia met one of the servants who rushed by, "Can you have a minute?"

"Why, princess! How can I serve? "the servant asked, slowing down.

"Nm ... Everyone in the castle seemed to be in a hurry. Did something happen?''

"no? Nothing special."

"Are you sure? It feels like everyone is rushing to do something ..."

"I, Ah, but, Maybe it's the influence of our new king. When we see how the man works, it makes us feel bad if we don't work as well. I can't stand to slow down either ... Ah, I'm in the middle of something right now, so I'm leaving! ''

Finally, he came to the king's government affairs office. When he opened the door, the first thing he saw was a mountain of paper. On a table large enough that two grown adults could sleep on it, the papers were stacked high and seemed ready to spill. That's not all. As he looked around, he saw a number of bureaucrats sitting at another long table, fighting in a losing battle with more bundles of documents.

As Liscia stood there, dumbfounded, a young man spoke to her from the other side of the paper mountain.

"You, whoever just came in."

"...Huh uh?! What ?! "Snapped back to her senses, Liscia had let out a strange shout, but the speaker didn't seem to care at all.

"Can you read? Can you do the math?

"Don't make fun of me! I have certainly been taught that much!

"Well, perfect. Come and help me with this job.

"Who do you think you are, asking me to help...?"

"Just do. That's a royal order."

Saying this, the person behind the mountain of paper stood up.

Now, finally, for the first time, the two face to face. This is the first meeting between the new king, David, and his fiancee, Liscia.

Liscia would describe her first impression of him as "a young man with tired eyes."

In stories where a hero is summoned to another world, that hero sometimes gains power as a result of being summoned. It seems like the people in this world all have the ability to use magic, and so where is it wrong to wish I could obtain the ability to use magic as well? Technically, I have been summoned here as a hero.

Apparently there are different types of magic that people can use, and they have devices that can test them. This one looks like a slate. When someone touches the slate, the type and magic ability of that person is displayed in that person's head. Even the people of this world did not understand the principles behind how it worked, but there seemed to be quite a number of out-of-place artifacts in this world.

So, I got my diagnosis, and this is the power I gained:

[The Power to Transfer Consciousness into Objects and Manipulate It]

It was an ability that allowed me to transfer my consciousness to objects I touched, and I could manipulate up to three of them simultaneously.

It sounded more like psychic power than magic, but the lighter the object, the freer I could control it. I can get a view of whatever I control. Moreover, in addition to my own consciousness, I can have objects moving under independent consciousness, as well. Using an object as a medium like this, I can think of several t hinges at the same time.

While there is a limit that I can only move around things close to me, it can make things move as they please neatly. Like I'm triggering the poltergeist effect.

So, that's why I named my abilities "[Living Poltergeists]." Looks like I have a case of high school syndrome, maybe?

After getting my [Life Poltergeists], one thing immediately came to my mind:

"It will be very useful to work on documents!"

... Yep. Copying my consciousness into three pens, I was able to review several documents simultaneously with parallel thinking, and by manipulating those three pens, I was able to sign them. Friend, since I know I have this ability, I have done more work. In fact, without that ability, the vast amount of documents that had accumulated in confusion since I was given the throne would probably bury me in an avalanche by now.

... Yep. I know what you want to say. I get the ability, and it turns out that it's mostly good to handle desk work more smoothly?

While I was getting good benefits from it, whenever I thought of it as a hero power, I could only think, "How did things turn out like this?" I mean, even if I didn't get super powerful magic that would let me face hordes of enemies at the same time, I would love defense magic that would at least let me protect myself.

Well, hoping for things I can't do won't take me anywhere. And in fact, it was a useful force for me.

Today, as usual, I searched

mountain of documents with [My Life Poltergeists]. When I did, someone entered the room with a rumbling sound that sounded like they were trying to kick a very nice door. When I peeked through the crack in the mountain of paper, I thought it was a young woman in a military uniform.

With her usual features, her complexion so pale to translucent, and fine platinum blonde hair, she was so beautiful that at other times I would be captivated by her beauty. However, after pulling three nights in a row, I did not see a beautiful girl but only a new source of labor.

After calling out to him and practically forcing him to sit next to me, I pushed two piles of papers towards him. "Please compare these two sets of documents and look for places where their value, or the number of items, disagree and mark them."
