Chapter 14 - Return to Canada

Amanda stepped her feet on a red carpet sprinkled with rose petals.on the edge of the carpet there was a candle that illuminated her. And out of nowhere it came from, the sound of a violin swiped, making the atmosphere seem more romantic. But somehow Mr Sky prepared all this? Isn't this dinner just an apology because Mr. Sky has spilled ice cream in Amanda's clothes? Then why does all this have to be?

Amanda took her legs in turns, somehow the longer it felt heavier. Even this heartbeat is getting more erratic.

"Sir Sky" said Amanda, who saw the blond man sitting there waiting for his presence.

"Emmm... Please sit down" Sky said after pulling up a chair for Amanda.

Sky raised his hand flicking a finger as code. Shortly after, some waiters came to bring dishes that might only be seen in five-star restaurants or especially middle and upper class people.

Amanda stared one by one at a meal, all of this food looking tempting. But he couldn't resist asking any longer.

"Eee. Emm maxut I you can enjoy it. Emm..." Sky was confused by what he said. As he remembered he had memorized every dialogue from Jack that he should have said, but somehow after meeting in person as if Sky's brain arrived empty and his tongue stiff.

"Sorry Mr. Sky, before I want to ask. What exactly is this for. I think it's all too much to change my t-shirt to get an ice cream stain this afternoon" asked Amanda, honestly she herself feared for all of Sky's kindness. He was afraid that he would have higher hopes, but Sky did all this just out of sheer pity on him.

Sky took a deep breath before expressing his goal, honestly this was not as easy as he had imagined, and perhaps the dialogue Jack had painstakingly created would be useless.

"Miss, I honestly want to say it after the dinner. But it looks like I will say it now" Sky said after putting his fork and knife on the plate. Sky took his breath in again. And Amanda waited for the confession of the handsome figure before her with a heart that kept pounding, and tried to deafen her ears.

Paris, 12:15 PM

Amanda is now sitting in the passenger seat, as agreed yesterday today there is a lunch appointment with Sky sir at one of the famous restaurants in France.

Outside the window there is a building that stands strong and towering magnificent. But his mind drifted far away.

"Miss actually.. I. put my heart on you"

"Emmm... I know it's too soon, but my feelings can't be wrong. L am... Always thinking about you, wanting to be around you, and... I want you to be mine"

"Eee.. It doesn't matter if you don't want to answer now, you can think about it, I'll wait."

"Tomorrow we have a lunch appointment at Restorant XXXXX you can say tomorrow"

Those words, the words that made Amanda couldn't sleep well last night. Even because of that word, he had to repeat some dialogue, as it was unfocused.

Amanda stared out the window, the taxi she was riding drove closer to where it was headed. But he himself did not yet have the answer that Sky was waiting for. Honestly he himself confused about his feelings, love or admiration. Those are the two words he always considered.

As a person who had been betrayed he was also afraid of previous events repeated again. It is not impossible if he is Mr. Sky a wealthy businessman whose company has stood firmly in various parts of the world can turn away from him.

And suddenly the sound of the ringing of the Mobile phone spread his daydream. "Daddy" Amanda said before raising a voice call from her Daddy.

"What, Realy?"

I don't know what people said on the other side of the call, but clearly Amanda's facial expression looked very panicked.

"Okay, I'll be right back" Amanda said before disconnecting the voice call.

"Sorry sir, please turn around" said Amanda, who still looked panicked.

Sky stared at his watch, Amanda should have come. But somehow the beautiful woman with her hazel bead, has not appeared.

"Maybe in a moment" said Sky as he tapped the table with his finger to simply remove his saturation.

Arriving at Aperteman, Amanda immediately grabbed the suitcase and put all her belongings in. At this time he was really in a hurry, even he could only send his permission request via e-mail. Without waiting for a response from the company, he pulled his big suitcase towards the elevator.

There was a taxi waiting for him, even he had booked a flight to Ottawa, Canada through an application.

The driver helped Amanda put two suitcases into the taxi before driving to the airport. "I'm sorry Mr. Sky, I promise I'll give you an answer soon after everything's okay" Amanda said after the taxi drove out of the Aperteman area.

On the second floor there is a man who is still faithful waiting in one of the chairs. It looked lonely, there was no other visitor besides him. No, not because it does not sell well, but because Sky has booked the entire second floor in this famous restaurant. He did not want this unforgettable moment to be interrupted by various unwanted incidents.

Sky looked back at his watch, it had been an hour he waited, but the awaited never came too. Even he could not hide the unrest in his heart.

"Did something happen to him? Or the... He doesn't have an answer yet, or don't let him feel bad about rejecting me and deciding not to see me" Sky continued to fight with the possibility of the possibility in his head. Honestly waiting without certainty, very tiring.

"Sorry sir, when can we start the music" asked one of the musicians he had hired to accompany his romantic lunch.

Sky grabs his phone from his pants pocket, he looks for Amanda's number on contact. "Gosh I forgot, I don't even have his contacts"

"Jack" said Sky after a voice call appeared on his phone.

"Hallo Jack, please give me Amanda's contact. I don't know why he didn't come. I'm afraid something happened to him" Sky said ahead of Jack.

"Sorry sir, from the information I got from the HRD. Miss Amanda had applied for a leave of absence a while ago"

"What" said Sky not with a frenzy to hear what Jack had just said, but he was so shocked. Why did Amanda come back to Canada? Is it so much he wants to get away from Sky? Was Amanda so fed up of all of Sky's attention that she decided to stay away for a while?
