Ooh, HOT UNCLE

Ooh, HOT UNCLE
Chapter 51

Looking at Agam who was getting closer, Arumi cast a glance to the other side. He will pretend not to see the flowers and paper bag that was just picked up by Agam from his office.

Arumi was still in position when Agam opened the car door and went inside. The man was astonished to see Arumi not turning at all towards him. The girl picked up the phone from inside the bag and was busy playing it.

"Say 3 more days you're having a birthday." Agam opened the chat. He closed the door and placed a flower and paper bag beside him.

Hearing Agam talk about his birthday, Arumi turned her head. He deliberately did not tell Agam. He wanted to see if Agam knew his fiance's birthday or not.

But after hearing Agam's statement, Arumi thinks that someone has told Agam his birthday.

"Who knows.? Mama or Papa.?" Guess Arumi without expression.

"That's not an important thing to discuss." Agam refused to answer. The man handed Arumi a bouquet of flowers and a paper bag.

The girl in white immediately sparkled staring at the item in Agam's hands. Arumi accepted with a big smile. It does not matter even though the way to give him seems stiff and ordinary, the most important thing is Agam's intention to give flowers and gifts to him. So thought Arumi.

"Thank you Om," said Arumi sincerely.

"Tomorrow I'll go out of town. Maybe after 4 days just go back to Bandung." He said after giving flowers and birthday gifts to Arumi. Without the accompaniment of do'a or romantic speech.

The smile on Arumi's lips dimmed then and there. The bouquet of flowers in her arms no longer looks beautiful, now it looks ordinary. Paper bag with a famous brand that also does not look luxurious anymore. Maybe because Arumi was disappointed because Agam certainly would not be beside him on his birthday later.

"Om gonna go on my birthday.?" Arumi's voice trembled slightly. He held back the tears because he was disappointed.

Agam's attitude increasingly makes Arumi feel that he is indeed worthless to Agam. With their lucky status and less than 2 weeks to get married, Agam should prioritize the important moments of his fiancee.

"My work is very much Arumi. I'm busy." Answer Agam lirih. The man slightly softened his tone because he realized Arumi's eyes were already glazed.

”Papa is also very busy, but he always has time on Mama's birthday." Arumi. He simply placed the flowers and paper bag beside her and chose to throw a glance in the other direction.

"I want to go home." His request without looking at Agam.

The man starts the car and drives it to Arumi's house.

All along the journey there was silence. Both are silent. Especially Agam who is very rarely said if not asked.

Arumi continued to throw a glance out the window. He tried to strengthen the disappointed heart. And curbed his tears from spilling.

His 18th birthday will be the saddest birthday of his life. Unattended by her future husband, the person she loved so much.

Car Agam has entered the yard. Arumi hurriedly released the seatbelt even though Agam's car had not stopped. The girl was already preparing to come down, carrying a bouquet of flowers and gifts from Agam even though she did not want them anymore.

As soon as he stopped his car, Agam immediately grabbed Arumi by the wrist. He prevented Arumi from opening the door.

"Anged.?" Ask Gently. Such a question should not have come out of Agam's mouth. Arumi even ran out of words to respond to her.

By seeing the change in Arumi's attitude alone, Agam should know that his decision has disappointed Arumi.

"What in the future Om will continue to prioritize work.?" Arumi responded to Agam's question with another question.

"If so, I could consider backing out." His words are full of decisiveness.

"I'm afraid this kind of thing will become a problem later on for our household."

Do not let later after marriage they will fight because Agam is too busy and underestimate precious moments.

Arumi will celebrate Anniversary alone every year.

”This is an urgent job, can not handle others." Agam gave an explanation.

Arumi breathed a heavy sigh. He tried to understand Agam's position. Throwing away her dream of celebrating a birthday with someone special all her life.

"I'm sorry, maybe I'm being too selfish." Arumi smiled faintly. The smile was obviously forced. Just to cover up his disappointment.

"Thank the card, be careful on the road." Arumi opened the door and got out of the car waving to Agam.

...*****...

"Are you guys busy.? I'd like to take you to dinner."

That question Arumi sent in a group of 4 people.

He placed the phone on the bed after making sure the message reached them.

Arumi then lay down with both legs dangling to the floor.

Flowers and gifts from Agam lay beside him. Arumi turned to the side, paying attention to the flowers and gifts that should be special to her.

"Am I overreacting like this.?" Ask yourself.

But for Arumi, Agam is pretty outrageous. He seems like there is no intention to try to finish the job faster so that he can go home on Arumi's birthday.

The sound of chat notification disperse Arumi's daydream, she immediately opened the group and read a reply from Aileen. Sena appears to be typing a message.

The two have agreed to Arumi's invitation, now they are choosing a cafe or restaurant where they will eat dinner. Until their chat was very much, Gea never showed the trunk of his nose.

The message has not even been read by Gea. That of course became their hot topic and asked for Gea's current whereabouts.

"Let's just take him to his brother's house."

The chat from Sena made Arumi panic. If they came to Gea's brother's house, surely Sena and Aileen would know that Gea was lying about where she lives now.

Because Gea confessed to Aileen and Sena that she lived in her brother's house.

Arumi immediately responded to the chat from Sena.

"I'll call Gea. If he can go with us later, let me pick him up."

Arumi breathed a sigh of relief because her two best friends agreed.

Ending the conversation in the group, Arumi thoughtlessly contacted Gea. He wanted to make sure Gea was okay.

Arumi looked riled up. He had contacted Gea 4 times, but his friend never answered him.

"Geez, I hope you're okay." Arumi muttered worriedly.
