104. Wake

The man was frightened by Professor Lin's cry. "Hey, I just... Just... Holding doors! If those monsters scratched the door and broke in, there would be something that could hold it back!"

Professor Lin was not a fool, he immediately realized something strange. "What was chasing you before?"

The man widened his eyes wide. "Didn't you know?! It's zombie! A zombie!"

Professor Lin took a few steps back to avoid the man's aggression. "Are you fantasizing?"

"No!"

The sun slowly rises from the east.

Inside Lin Su's room, people gathered in a gloomy and depressed state. Professor Lin and Madam Lin took a long time to digest what was going on in the outside world. No one knows that overnight, the world has changed.

Especially for parents like these two, things like running away for life are big things.

Kong Li quietly sighed, there was another person explaining these things to the Lin family who was helping him. He himself did not know what to explain to the old man.

"Wife, I'm going out with them. Don't open the door for anyone who comes but me."

Despite his old age, Professor Lin was the man in charge of shouldering the burden of the household. While Lin Su was still lying sick, he had to find a way out for his own family.

Three men agreed. After preparing mentally, they came out of the room.

The floor where the Lin family lived happened to have no other guests so they explored the entire floor confidently.

City T though is not a large city, including a second-level city. The hotel where they stayed has a total of 15 floors along with a basement. The restaurant is on the second floor.

Between going down the elevator or the emergency stairs, they confer to use the stairs, while later when they go up, they will use the elevator. As long as the electricity has not been out for one day, they should quickly use electricity.

There was no gray figure on the path of the emergency staircase, perhaps given that the change occurred past midnight.

The three of them came down quickly. Given Professor Lin's physical age, Kong Li still slowed down a bit.

Arriving at the second floor, Kong Li peeked out from the emergency exit. The hotel corridor is very quiet.

"Where's the kitchen?" Ask Kong Li.

"Go to the right, go through the two aisles, it's the back door of the kitchen."

The three of them moved to the right.

There was not a grey figure on the way and they reached the kitchen door safely. But even though they did not find anything abnormal, the surrounding conditions that were too quiet were also not good. It can lower a person's alertness.

Opening the back door of the kitchen, they were immediately faced with a large and luxurious kitchen. Some kitchen utensils were lying on the stove, materials were lying on the table, and kitchen knives were falling to the ground. It seemed like the owner was in a hurry to leave the kitchen before tidying things up.

"Uncle, what are you looking for?"

Professor Lin's face was also complex. "Rice, the main one. We can't carry much stuff."

Chen Hao nodded.

As everyone was busy, a gray figure swayed from the corner of the blind spot of view, he moved stiffly towards them.

The stiff figure walked towards the nearest person, his hand that had black nails outstretched, his mouth open revealing his sharp teeth. The stiff figure tried to bite Chen Hao.

Kong Li took out a wooden roll from the hanger and crushed the zombie head firmly. With a little trick using spiritual energy, the zombies could not stand up anymore after falling.

After turning a few times, they finally found the elevator door. But the zombies that were chasing them did not decrease at all to even increase. Most of them still wear cleaning worker clothes.

Chen Hao pressed the elevator button with all his might and pressed it several times. Panic filled his entire body.

It took a while for the elevator doors to open, Kong Li took the mop handles he found on the road and smashed the zombie heads one after another to buy time.

Ting! Elevator door opens.

"Son Kong, hurry!" Professor Lin shouted after getting inside the elevator.

Chen Hao pressed the close button.

Kong Li immediately threw away the bent mop handle and ran with all his might towards the elevator. Before the elevator doors closed completely, Kong Li managed to enter the elevator.

Inside the elevator there was only Kong Li's breathless voice.

The elevator rose smoothly to the floor where the Lin family was located.

When they returned, Madam Lin realized the exhaustion and fear of all of them. "What's going on?"

Professor Lin told Mrs Lin what they had met downstairs. Madam Lin's face also gradually turned pale, but she immediately stabilized her emotions.

"When I take the water out of the tap I see it looks like the clear water won't last long. It's likely that electricity will also stop operating after today." Madam Lin immediately told her the bad news she found.

Professor Lin took a deep breath. "Then the zombie movie?"

"It was just a lie, I practiced martial arts these two months in preparation."

"Did you tell anyone else?"

"That's why you brought us here?"

Lin Su nodded.

Professor Lin pressed down on his throbbing temple. He was old, this stimulation made him feel several years older.
