Chap 01's. A cruel world.

The world of cultivation is a harsh and cruel world, a world that is far from safe and peaceful, especially for those who have no power.

Wars and fights happen everywhere, every day there are lives lost. The horror and fear always haunts the people who are there.

The only law or rule that applies in the cultivation world is only the law of the jungle, where the strong are always in power and the weak will forever be oppressed.

To survive in this cruel world, one must have three important things in life, the first is strength, the second is power and the third is cunning.

Strength is not something that can be obtained easily, because to get it, someone requires effort, hard work and sacrifice that is not small.

Power is also not something that can be obtained easily and there are only two ways to get it, the first is inherited and the second is seized by force.

The only way an ordinary person could survive was by being sneaky, as a sneaky person would use all means to survive.

However, not everyone had cunning in him, one of them was Yin Feng, an ordinary young man who was born without any talent, power or cunning.

Yin Feng was aware that he was weak and had no strength, but he was neither a fool nor a person who was too good who did not have anger and resentment.

Merely, he had yet to have a chance to avenge them and until that moment arrived, Yin Feng chose to remain patient and try to gain strength.

The Jade Lotus Sect.

"Junk, leave this place right now! We don't want to see that pitiful face of yours in training."

Yin Feng did not say anything and just nodded slowly, then left the training ground he had cleared before the sect disciples came there.

"Suatu saat nanti aku pasti akan membalas perbuatan kalian!"

After leaving the training ground, Yin Feng immediately returned to his residence. On the way home, his steps were stopped by a man.

"Patriark" said Yin Feng while saluting the old man.

"Feng'er, are you busy?"

Yin Feng shook his head slowly, "i just finished my task."

"Good, then come with me."

"Okay, patriarch."

In the Jade Lotus sect, there was almost no one respected by Yin Feng, except the old man before him at the moment who was none other than the sect leader.

The reason for that was because only the sect leader cared so much about him, taking care of him from childhood and giving a name to him. That was why, Yin Feng had great respect for him.

Moreover, the sect leader also often asked Yin Feng to become his disciple, but that request was always rejected because Yin Feng was aware of him not having any talent.

"Feng'er, how was your day?"

Yin Feng smiled. "As usual and nothing has changed."

In fact, the sect leader had already warned the disciples not to disturb Yin Feng, yet the warning was never ignored by the disciples.

"Don't apologize, patriarch. I should be the one apologizing for just being a burden to the patriarch."

"Patriarch, do I really have no parents?" asked Yin Feng.

The old man named Xu Jiang shook his head as he let out a long sigh. "Come, 'cause I didn't find any leads where I found you."

"That means I'm a child whose presence is undesirable."

Xu Jiang did not say anything, he naturally realized that Yin Feng really felt disappointed by the two old men who had the heart to throw it away.

"Don't think too much, believe that destiny has determined the best course for you."

"Sure" Yin Feng said as he nodded slowly.

"So, why did the patriarch take me to this place?"

"Nothing, I just want to chat with you."

The two continued the conversation until the sun set. After which, the two of them returned to their respective residences to rest.

"Patriarch, forgive me for leaving without saying goodbye, but someday I will definitely return to this sect."

After leaving a letter for Xu Jiang, Yin Feng then left the sect, intending to travel in search of strength.

Yin Feng deliberately left when the night had been late, because at that moment everyone in the sect was sleeping in his sleep, including the leader and the elders of the sect.

As per his estimation, there were not many sect disciples in sight, there were only a few sect disciples who were on guard, yet Yin Feng managed to evade their supervision.

Yin Feng stopped his steps after being outside the sect gate. "Goodbye, patriarch. I'll come back after gaining strength" he murmured, then continue on.

Over the past few years, Yin Feng had already learned many things, especially about the cultivation world and especially the Xuanwu continent.

The Xuanwu continent was a vast landmass consisting of three empires, namely the Bei empire, the Xi empire and the Zhong empire. And currently Yin Feng was in the territory of the Bei empire.

The Bei Empire stood in the northern part of the Xuanwu continent and its territory was the second largest territory after the Zhong imperial domain.

And as for power, even though the territory of the Bei empire was not as vast as the territory of Zhong empire, yet its power could not be underestimated.

The reason for that was because in the territory of the Bei empire, there were many powerful sects that had been recognized throughout the continent, one of which was the Jade Lotus sect where Yin Feng had lived all along.

If in the future there is a war, these sects are ready to send down troops to help, because the emperor has good connections and relations with each sect.
