PONDEROUSLY
Rice Stalls In Mikage Village

The night has now begun to incarnate. Accompanied by a bright full moon shining down on the earth.

The time is 06:30 PM. Seen from the circular clock ticking on uncle jodi's left wrist.

Now the truck he was driving just came out of the wilderness. The wheels of the truck, which had been spinning at medium speed, had touched the streets lined with thick asphalt. Asphalt that is special for travel routes outside the city.

It only took fifteen minutes from the beginning of the truck to get out of the forest to reach the first village after coming out of the wilderness.

Jodi's uncle stopped the truck he was driving on the side of the road. Beside a food stall whose walls are made of woven bamboo, roofed nipah leaves, and covered with soil.

"Well, this walking box stopped uncle?". Just ask plain yerim.

The expression on the face of the Yerim looked like astonishment. Amazed by the prowess of the walking box that could stop abruptly. That is what happened in Jerim's mind.

Because of the hunger that had gnawed his stomach, uncle jodi did not pay much heed to the attitude of jerim. In fact, he was still astonished by the behavior of Jerim. Like someone who is more hick than a hick. Just this time uncle jodi encountered a strange human species like this. And that man is jerim.

"I think we're very hungry, son. Because our journey was so far from the forest. Let's go down, son." Uncle jodi's word.

Jerim turned his eyes. He looked towards uncle jodi.

"Down?". Ask yerim

"Good jeez. Wait let uncle exemplify." Said uncle jodi.

Uncle Jay opened the door to his truck. He quickly got down from the truck. He closed the truck door. Then he walked around towards the left side of his truck. Open the car door where the yerim is sitting.

"Now come down. Let uncle help." Uncle jodi.

Jodi's uncle holds yerim's wrist. Help yerim to get out of the car immediately.

Jerim obeyed jodi's uncle. There was not a word of protest from him. He moved his feet to the ground. Then he shifted so that uncle jodi could close the door of the truck.

"Let's follow uncle in there." Take uncle jodi while pointing towards the rice stall right in front of them.

Jerim scrunched his forehead. He looks confused.

"Where?. Why do we have to go in there, uncle? What if the one with the house gets angry with us?" Yerim asked confused.

Yerim looked agitated. It seems like he doesn't want to follow what uncle jodi says.

"Geez, son. It's not people's houses. But it's a rice stall, son." Uncle jodi explained.

"Warongs?". Jerim asked, confused.

Uncle jodi patted yerim's shoulder slowly.

"Already jerim. I'll explain later. What matters is that we go in first. I'm so hungry." Said uncle jodi.

Jodi's uncle chose not to answer yerim's questions. He quickly pulled the yerim wrist. Bring the yerim into the rice stall.

But many yerim do not recognize the menus in the storefront. Because he never saw it. His mother never introduced him or gave him food menus like those in the storefront. All he knew was the menu of grilled fish or grilled fish. With vegetables that are just like boiled sweet potatoes. Or a sweet vegetable graft that is usually cooked clear by his mother. Of course the cuisine was special to him.

Yerim looks like a gawk.

Uncle jodi pushed softly yerim body. Lead the yerim to sit on a long wooden chair.

"Sit down, son." Uncle jodi's word is soft.

Yerim dropped his buttocks on a long wooden chair. Set the sitting position correctly. To feel comfortable for his body.

Uncle Jodi ordered a plate of white rice with side dishes of fried chicken thighs and vegetable lodeh and a little sambal for him. Not to forget he ordered a glass of warm sweet tea and two pieces of fried tempeh.

"What do you want to eat, son? Order it." Fresh uncle jodi.

Uncle jodi's voice resuscitated the yerim from his daydream. Who still looks very confused by the atmosphere in the stall.

"I?". Yerim asked confused.

"Of course it's you jerim. My uncle asked who but you were." Said uncle jodi a little upset.

"I don't know. I've never seen everything in that weird box." Plain yerim.

Uncle jodi took a long breath. He looks a little frustrated when faced with silly behavior yerim according to him. Jerim is actually like that. Yerim really did not know about all this. That's vivid. Yerim had never lived in a village like the first one they were visiting now. The village is called Mikage Village. It is very different from the village where Yerim lived. A lot different. Hence the jerim became very confused by looking at the atmosphere.

"So what do you usually eat, son?". Ask uncle jodi as if he looks resigned.

Yerim pointed towards the storefront that was in front of him. He pointed to one of the foods he was very familiar with. He really likes. And the everyday he used to enjoy. Which his mother always presented to him.

"Don't you?". Ask uncle jodi wonder.

Jerim nodded his head quickly.

"Mom, please give me one more serving. White rice with fried fish. Then give me the same vegetable with mine and a little sambal. Don't forget the warm sweet tea add one more glass." Pinta uncle jodi to the owner of the rice stall.

The mother of the owner of the rice stall smiled at uncle jodi.

"All right sir." Answer the rice shop owner's mother kindly.

Not long ago, the order of uncle jodi for himself and yerim was presented in front of them. Where uncle jodi is already impatient to immediately execute his favorite food. Which really stirs the appetite.

He had not yet had time to feed his food into his mouth, the voice of Jerim had awakened him.

"It's fish? Why is this like uncle?". Just ask plain yerim.

Uncle jodi patted his forehead a little tight. He really felt depressed in the face of the yerim behavior that looks ridiculous.

"Jerim. That's fried fish. I will explain to you later. You better enjoy the food." Uncle jodi's saying is getting upset.
