Princess Yuen Rho And The Story of the Dragon

Princess Yuen Rho And The Story of the Dragon
The Grandma Mirror

In accordance with the direction of the Old Monk, I and Commander Han walked towards the North, the first place we will visit is Halimun Forest. This forest is notoriously misleading, many climbers, firewood seekers, lost their way in it. The fog that exists in the forest Halimun make many people wrongly aim, so they just circled around in the Forest.

Our journey began, from the temple below the plain of Mount Kowloon, where the old monk lived. We walked with bread and rice for lunch during the trip.

After passing through the Kowloon plain, we went down the yellow river to reach Halimun Forest. Along the way Commander Han asserted, the sooner we get into Halimun Forest before dusk, the better. Because, the fog will go down at dusk and get thicker after nightfall.

However, not until we passed the yellow river turned out, we met a girl who was crying.

Out of curiosity I approached her, "Hi Miss! What makes you cry? If we can help, we'll help as much as we can."

The girl was silent for a moment, she felt strange hearing my words.

"Do you want to help me?" tanyanya expectantly.

"of course! We'll do everything we can" I said.

He looked to the right and left, then said like a frightened person.

"I was washing the cloth of my master in this river, woefully I washed the cloth and carried it out of nowhere, which I feared this cloth would be carried up to the house of Grandma mirror. I was so afraid of him that when he entered the house he would never free any woman who had entered the house."

"Loh, why? Have you ever met him before?" many wonder.

I still can't figure out what that woman said.

"Mirror granny once had a daughter. Unfortunately, the boy was very ill, and then he died. Grandma mirror, very sad. From then on, he confined himself in his hut in the middle of the Halimun Forest. One time, my employer told me to cook unfortunately the wood supply was up." The black-robed girl told her story.

"I was lost all the way there, and I once went into that glass-filled house. For a week in the house, I finally managed to escape the grips of the Grandmother by tricking her that I would cook her favorite yellow fuzzy cake." From the woman's conviction as she was telling the story, I felt more and more convinced that Grandma was mirrored by a lonely mother.

"Well if it's like that, miss, I'll order my soldiers to find the cloth you washed."

The soldiers went down the yellow river, not far from where the woman was, found a beautiful cloth, and handed it to the girl.

"Miss, is that really yours?" sahut a soldier.

"Master Sir! Thank you so much sir for finding my master's property." He took the cloth and put it in a pottery he carried.

"Mr Princess, I don't have anything precious to repay you, I have 3 magic yellow pumpkin seeds, do you want?"

"Thank you Miss, I'll gladly accept whatever you give."

The girl took something out of her pocket.

" Receive this, magic pumpkin seed. If you seed this yellow pumpkin it will flourish, this yellow pumpkin will contain according to the heart of the person who took it, if he is sincere, he will get what he wants, but if he is dirty, then this pumpkin will contain poisonous animals." The girl gave the magical pumpkin seed pinned inside the golden silk handkerchief.

I also accept it with pleasure, one day it will be useful for me.

I walked back leaving the girl to continue down the valley and into the Halimun Forest.

"Beware Princess, we've entered Halimun Forest." Commander Han keep watch. In fact, he lit a torch, assisted by Ya Tze who began to monitor the surroundings.

Finally, we arrived at an old cottage that was very quiet. Perhaps, it was all because it was the only hut that was inside the forest.

We knocked on the wooden door, on the hut, the chimney billowed, indicating that there were inhabitants in the hut.

"Excuse me, Grandma!" I say hello while looking around. The fog began to fall, the atmosphere became increasingly gripping.

Krieet! The sound of the door suddenly opening made all of us in front of the Grandma's house, shocked.

"Grandmother let you in, we just want to ask you for help." I asked permission politely.

"I don't have anything, sorry young man you better go, and there's no need to show your nose any more!" The sarcastic words came out from the old woman's lips. His views were very dismissive and uncomfortable.

I went forward, right in front of him I bowed.

"I'm Princess Yuen Rho saluting, to the mirror Grandma."

Looking at my hair coming out of my hood. He was shocked.

"Are you the woman of the moon who is destined to be the woman who will defeat the dragon like the prophecy of the monks?" tanyakanya.

I nodded in agreement with his words.

The woman told me to go in with the other soldiers.

Arriving inside we were served green tea which was still hot.

"What do you want, Princess? I can't give you anything without a deal, I'm just an old woman with no children and no means to produce anything."

"I need a magic mirror. This heirloom I need to fight the Dragon, if Grandma would exchange it for a magical pumpkin seed."

Apparently, Grandma mirror looks curious about the exchange I offered.

"I don't need a magic pumpkin, all I want is a daughter who will accompany my old day. I'd rather ask your slave girl, for my son's incident! How's the princess?" Grandma's eyes glared at Ayura.

I saw Ayura's body tremble, her hands dropping the porcelain cup containing the green tea she drank.

"Sorry, Grandma! She was my favorite lady-in-waiting she's been with me since I was born." I refused it with courtesy. Unfortunately, Grandma doesn't think the same of me.

"Simply, if you don't want to give up that woman, you all can't get out of here. I've broken the green tea poison. After 10 minutes, you will turn into a blackened stone, you will return to how you were on a moonlit night." At the end of his words the mirror granny laughed out loud.

"Bad!" Commander Han hit the table hard.

My brain thinks hard, there is no way I can lose just because I can't diplomacy with an old, cunning grandmother.

"What if I could bring your dead daughter? Will you give me a magic mirror, and let go of us all?" Without the slightest fear I asked Grandma the mirror.

He laughed out loud, then said. "Where could you possibly go to the afterlife to bring my daughter, and bring her to life, do you think you are the emperor of the heavens?"

"What if all that's possible, I'm afraid you're scared of old Grandma?" I squinted my eyes, staring intently at the mirror Grandma's eyes.

Ayura whispered something to me.

"Yuen, how did you bring her daughter from the dead and bring her back to life? This is crazy Yuen!" Ayura reminded me, but I told her to calm down.

"Well I accept this deal, I will write it in the book of the sacred covenant. When you deny, your soul and body will all be mine, but when what you say comes true I will not be able to renege on the promise I have agreed with you, Princess!" The old woman wrote our covenant on a dried deer skin, every letter she wrote was lost as if swallowed by the animal's skin.

"Please Princess, you put your blood on this deer skin." The woman pricked her finger with the tip of her dagger she put her blood on while making a kamit comment.

I don't want to lose him either, I clap the fingertips of my thumb with my hair ornament. My white blood I put on the covenant.

Now all the letters that the woman wrote appeared. The old woman asked again:

"Now what are you going to do, Princess?"
