Advice from Silviana

Liana was studying the work files that were piling up on her desk. His attention was distracted, as someone knocked on the door of his room. Before long, the mother of Andra came into her room.

"Auntie." His face looks surprised.

Silviana smiled at Liana. Then, it approached her daughter-in-law and hugged Liana warmly. They sat on the couch together. Liana prepared a warm tea for her mother-in-law.

"Should, Auntie, just call me. So, Auntie, there is no need to go all the way here," said Liana.

"You're this. It's been two years married to Andra, still calling aunt. Call mama, honey. You, ''the mama's son too." Silviana diverted the conversation.

"I'm not used to it yet" he replied softly with a clumsy smile. Resti lowered his head inside.

Silviana held Liana's hand warmly. "When will you feel comfortable with your mom? Mom always wanted to be with you. But, you seem to be moving away," said Silviana.

"I ...." Liana could not continue her words. Nor did he have a compelling reason to reject Silviana's kindness.

"Is it because you're going to divorce Andra?

Liana raised her gaze. He looked surprised to hear the word 'divorced', from the mouth of his own in-laws. Whatdoes thatmean? We have not reached this agreement, Liana murmured.

"Divorce?" reset Liana.

"Yes. Mama's heard everything Andra did to you. One thing you need to know, Andra just loves you. Despite everything that happened, his love was only for you" Silviana explained.

Liana smiled lightly. "So he agreed, to divorce me? Good, very good."

The frown on Silviana's forehead is clearly visible. He did not know what Liana said. "meaning?" That question also came out.

"Ah, no," elak Liana.

"Liana, I thought, you should dive into each other's hearts. If only one of the parties tried, it would all be in vain. All this time, Andra wanted to get to know you. But, mama saw you keep your distance from her. Is mama wrong?" ask Silviana.

"Mama knows, Andra was wrong to ask Fia for help. While you hate that woman. Now, we change positions. If we were in Andra's position, how would you feel?"

Again, Liana could not answer that question. He realized his mistake. However, his ego does not accept the betrayal that Andra did. Nah! To be more precise, it was just Liana's own thoughts.

"I know I was wrong, Auntie. But my decision is already unanimous. I want a divorce from her," Liana replied firmly.

Silviana breathed a heavy sigh. He held Liana's fingers back. "Mama knows how you feel. Your real problem is just lack of communication. Unfortunately, you continue to underestimate the problem, until finally everything is out of control" said Silviana.

Inwardly, Liana confirmed the words of her mother-in-law. Silviana smiled looking at Liana's guilty-looking face.

"May you give me some advice?" ask Silviana.

Liana raised her gaze. He looked at his mother-in-law with interest. Silviana smiled looking at Liana's curious face.

"You don't get divorced. Had you divorced, it would only make people who dislike your relationship cheer up. Try to be open to each other. Maybe, with a honeymoon for example," suggested Silviana.

What Aunt Silviana said is true. If we get divorced, Fia and her mother will feel the upper hand. Because they broke my heart. Andra was not entirely guilty either. Should I take advice from my mom? ask in the heart.

"No need to answer now. Just think about it mature. When you have determined your answer, tell your mother. Understood?" Silviana patted Liana's arm gently.

"Ma," call Liana.

Silviana was fixated, hearing Liana call her 'mama'. Her eyes glazed over Liana. He hugged his son-in-law tightly. He could not speak because of happiness.

"Liana will think of the words, Mama. Thank you for giving me advice. Sorry, because Liana has been doing a lot of wrong things" said Liana.

Silviana shook her head. He still tried to control himself for a moment. "Human. Mama understands your heartache. From now on, don't shut yourself down again! There is a mama who will be faithful to listen. Think of your mom as your own mom. Yes," Silviana's pinta.

Liana shed tears. He hugged his mother-in-law again. I miss my mom's hug. Thank you, Mama Silvi already wants to be my mama too, she said in her heart.
