It has been 3 days since I asked the young master for permission to enter his library.
For these past 3 days, I have been unable to learn magic at all!
Surely, because there is Miss Fiona reading a book in the master's private library!
Why does he always read books here?! If you were to read the book that was in this private library, then what was the use of the public library on the 1st floor huh?!!
I always wanted to tell him that, but how could I dare, right?
Fortunately, after all this time, Miss Fiona is not here because she's gone somewhere.
But who cares about that?, I better hurry up to find useful books for me to learn magic!
There are five interesting books I found.
It took me a very long time to search for magic books, I even almost gave up.
But come to think of it, I'm actually used to this, because in my previous life, I had thousands of piles of books in my room.
Although everything is a novel and manga book ...
There are only five books that interest me here, but that seems to be enough for me to learn.
Here are five books I found at home.
1. Exploring world.
This is a guidebook that contains the names and unique characteristics of various countries in this world.
2. Monster\, Ecology and Weakness of Feroa.
A book describing monsters that appeared in the Feroa region, and ways to deal with them.
3. Guide to magic.
A guidebook that explains how to use magic, complete from beginner to advanced levels.
4. Legend Shoru.
A fairy tale about a summoner and witch named Shoru, who travels with his comrades, fights demons, saves the world, and helps people.
5. Three swordsmen in the labyrinth.
An adventure book that tells the story of three talented Swordsman, and then they together enter a labyrinth.
Leaving aside 2 novels about combat, it seems like the other 3 books can make me learn a lot.
Especially the magic guidebook.
To me who came from another world, the things written in the book were very interesting!
I read the whole book, and I understand some of the basic concepts.
1. First of all\, magic is classified into three categories.
Attack Magic. You have to attack your target.
Healing Magic. You have to heal your target.
There are three basic types of magic, and to me that is easy to understand.
There are various functions, but according to the guidebook, magic was originally developed for war. But, most nobles use it not just for fighting.
2. To use magic\, you must have Mana.
As long as you have Mana, then you can use magic.
There are two ways to use Mana.
- Use the Mana in your body.
take Mana out of something that contains Mana.
You can use magic if you meet either of these conditions.
This was not a problem for people who had a lot of Mana, but for those who only had a little bit of Mana, they could not use different types of magic.
Thus, the witches in the past thought of a way to draw out the Mana from something else, in order to meet their magic needs.
3. There are two ways to activate magic.
- Spells
- Magic Symbols
It's pretty obvious, isn't it? To activate magic, one could do so by chanting spells or drawing magic symbols.
Magic symbols have been normal since time immemorial, but nowadays, people prefer to cast spells.
In the past, casting spells took about 1 or 2 minutes.
It was not too long, but such methods were extremely difficult to do when fighting.
Conversely, when the magic symbol was finished being drawn, then it could be used many times.
There was a certain magician who managed to shorten the time of casting spells. That way, the spell does not take time to cast long enough.
The simple spells took perhaps about 5 seconds, so the basic magic attacks were more effectively activated through the spells.
Unless the situation is urgent, complicated magic is better activated through symbols.
4. Where a person is determined from the moment he is born.
In RPG games, your Mana will increase as you level up.
But apparently, that's not the case in this world.
So, what about me? Hm ...
Apparently, the amount of Mana contained in the body was usually an inborn descendant!
I don't even know who my parents and family are!
Huh!, this is a bit worrying...
