Remember Me Husband

Remember Me Husband
My helper...

Dark and cool, that's what Aran's body feels right now. No more heat burning his skin.

Am I in heaven?

Slowly Aran's eyes opened, his faint vision slowly began to see everything clearly. What he realized was the view of the ceiling of his room whose interior was not foreign to Aran.

The infirmary?

Aye! No doubt this must be a hospital room. But why am I here? Wasn't I stuck in a burning warehouse? Who helped me and brought me here?

Suddenly the door opened. A man in expensive-looking formal attire came with a tent and a bouquet of flowers in his hand. He walked towards where Aran was lying at the moment.

"Thank God it turns out you're aware of Aran" said the man.

"Sean?"

Aran who was lying down instantly got up and sat leaning on the bed while looking at Sean and wondering.

Did Sean take her to the hospital?

After placing the bouquet of flowers that he brought to the vase, Sean then put the tent containing the food on the table near the bed that Aran occupied.

"So you've come to your senses, I'm really happy..." Sean smiled and was happy and relieved, seeing that Aran was fine and there were no serious injuries. Only a few cuts on his forehead should be wrapped in a thin bandage.

"Sean did you bring me here?"

"Yes, I brought me here."

Aran looked towards Sean's bandaged left hand back then. He felt it was a wound from helping him earlier. It makes Aran feel indebted to Sean.

"Sean thank you yes.., if you're not there maybe I've—"

"That's it..." Sean grabbed Aran's hand and grabbed it and smiled. "What's important is that you're not hurt, are you?"

Aran was flabbergasted for a moment, he really felt lucky to know Sean who always wanted to help him.

I really owe this guy.

"Aran, next time... Please don't scare me. When I found out you were trapped in that burning warehouse... I feel like I want to die. So— please don't scare me anymore, okay?" Sean looked at Aran with a look full of fear and regret. His hand was getting tighter grasping Aran's slender hand.

"I'm sorry, it has made you worried" said Aran, holding back the hand of the man with him.

After being declared able to go home, Aran was escorted by Sean back to his home. There she was immediately greeted by Risa and her two children who were worried about her mother's condition.

"Mama.." the little girl ran over and immediately hugged her mother with a feeling of relief.

"Jia was scared... Mama's okay, right? Huhoo..." While crying the little girl hugged Aran tightly.

Theo who can no longer pretend to be calm, in the end reflex hugged his mother and made sure that the mother was okay. Theo who was usually always cold and rarely overreacted now looked very worried and scared, even Aran could feel his shoulders trembling a bit.

Understanding the feelings of his children at this time, Aran immediately hugged his two children and said that he was okay.

"And this is all also thanks to Uncle Sean. He's the one who helped me and took my mom to the hospital."

Jia and Theo immediately thanked Sean right then and there. Risa, who is Aran's best friend, also thanked him.

"It's okay. Um— then Aran, I'm sorry to go home first. You just take a break and you don't have to go to work for a few days."

"Yes, Mr. Sean. Again, thank you very much for all your help. I'll always remember your goodwill" Aran bowed in thanks.

"Either. For me your safety is all that matters. Then I'll go first, see you."

Sean went back to his car. In the car before leaving, Sean asked himself.

Three days after the fire, Aran's warehouse finally returned to work. And when he entered, he was told that the cause of yesterday's blight was due to a careless warehouse worker leaving the cigarette butts still burning, thus pecking out flammable chemicals. The employee was eventually fired and the warehouse began to be repaired. With a modern and fast Skyper work system, it is not until two weeks the main warehouse can be used again.

That day Aran was seen carrying lunch. Just as she was getting changed, Chika suddenly came and greeted her cheerfully.

"Aran you're finally back at work. If you haven't come in yet, I'd like to see you at home. But it turns out you've come in. I'm so happy...!" Chika hugged Aran strong so happy.

"Thank you for welcoming me Chika. But I'm okay, so don't worry."

"Good then but—" Chika suddenly realizes that Aran's box contains lunch. He asked who the lunch box was for? Didn't I know Aran no longer makes Mr Ruka stock?

"So who's Aran for? Don't-don't Mr. Ruka..."

"Eh, ma'am-not this."

"uh? Mr Sean?"

Aran nodded, then explained that he deliberately brought the provisions for Sean as a receipt. Love because Sean had helped him from the warehouse that time.

"Oh so stock for the hero? Oh my, what a romantic..." Said Chika who started teasing Aran nosily.

...----------------...

When lunchtime arrives, Aran who wants to bring lunch for Sean accidentally cross paths with Ruka and Rowen. And as usual, Rowen awkwardly greeted Aran and asked him the news attentively. He also asked about things like the strawberries he sent yesterday.

"Aran I'm so glad you're okay. Dan—" Rowen looked towards Ruka who looked unconcerned and instead kept going, without even glancing at her at all. "Ah is not. I've Aran first..."

Aran's face was immediately saddened to realize that Ruka was acting so cold, even as if she did not consider it at all. But why am I sad? Isn't that just good? With Ruka not caring for him Aran can be easier to hate him.

"But why...? Instead of wanting to hate her, I feel sad and disappointed to see her ignore me? What exactly do I want?"

...****************...

Upon arrival in his room, Ruka immediately sat on the sofa and opened her suit and shirt. There looks Ruka's back wrapped by bandages. While Rowen who had just taken the P3K box was preparing to replace the bandage of burns on Ruka's back.

Carefully Rowen removed the burn on his boss's back and applied the medicine and replaced it with a new one. After finishing dressing his boss's wounds, Rowen suddenly asked Ruka.

"Sir, shouldn't you tell Aran that you're the one who helped him out of that darkness? I don't think this is fair, however— you are the one who has come so desperate to get into that warehouse for his sake." Even though Rowen likes Aran, he does not want it until Aran does not know the sacrifice of his boss.

"Better he doesn't know, anyway— he knows or not, it won't change anything between me and him." Ruka put her suit back on.

"T-but sir. At least he should thank you."

"No need, just leave it like this."

From his words to me last time, it clearly implies Aran is distracted by my presence. So I think it's better he doesn't know about this. Let everything go as normal as he wants. Life is quiet without me showing up in her life.

Ruka then stood up and touched Rowen's head to make her grimace.

"Argh! Why are you touching me?!"

"Maybe don't put on a sad pretentious face like that. Besides, my relationship with Arana is nothing more than boss and subordinate, why are you so dizzy?"

"Ah yes, you're right..."

But even so, still Rowen I do not feel satisfied at all. I should be happy because I'm lord Ruka won't be my rival getting Aran but... But why does it feel so unpleasant at all? Abena feels like a loser who can only get what I want because my opponent relented.
