After handing out small gifts to adorable krucils, they are asked by a pack of kades to visit her home.
Without thinking they agree. Alda was sweating, no longer as pretty as before.
"Please drink" Mr. Kades invited them to drink coffee and also eat boiled cassava.
Alda forgot when was the last time he ate boiled cassava which is so good if it is dicocol with tomato sauce that is finely ground with chili, onion and garlic. He was without hesitation but still polite eating boiled cassava with greed.
While he was talking, a voice sounded. The drum that was hit produced a quite distinctive tone.
"Is there a show, sir?" ask Mika.
"Yes. Five houses from here are under fire. Child married. If you want, let's join you see the custom process here" invite mr. kades.
Mika sees Rafa, Angga, Randi and Alda alternately. Everybody nodded. There's still time.
"May sir" said Mika.
They walked to the house of the resident whom Mr. Kades mentioned earlier. People lined up neatly. The women use a local woven sarong with clothes called bodo clothes. The men also wore woven sarongs and black labbu shirts.
A woman carries incense, which smells quite fragrant. Two men each carried a bamboo tip on his shoulder. Where the bamboo hangs some sarongs.
Randi who likes to take pictures of course perpetuate this.
He said they were going to a neighbor's house. In the neighboring house they will do a little ritual. Where the girls will be given the leaves that have been pounded on both palms, the temple now and right also on their foreheads. After everything was done, they returned to the house that had a party.
The circuit still hasn't stopped there. They resumed the ritual after picking up who had a home and family and were taken to a roomy place.
There was already a buffalo, three dancers and of course dozens of residents who also watched. The drums are still being played, combined with the gong. Three dancers dance, occasionally they sing with a voice that can make Alda goosebumps.
Kickstop. The village elder sat on a mat, facing the family who had the event. The smell of incense re-smelled, the elder seemed to be reading something. Then hold the forehead one by one from father, mother to children who have an event.
When finished, the drums and gongs are played again.Dancers return to dancing, before walking around the buffalo. Father, mother and children who sat exchanged earlier, went around the buffalo, as well as some of their relatives. The buffalo is surrounded 7 times before it is slaughtered.
The show's still going on. A long pestle made of wood is surrounded by relatives of the event owners. Each in his hand held a wood that was used to pound the rice in the pestle. The rhythm of the drum and gong blends with the rhythm of the meeting between the pounder and the pestle. It produces an unusual melody.
"Thank you, sir, Kades has received us well" Mika said, representing all of them.
"I should have said thank you. Thank you for taking the time to visit our village" Mr. Kades drove them to the dock.
"There may be a few more days coming. We ask the kades sir to share with the citizens" Mika told.
"Thank you once again. May health always be with you" said Mr. Kades who no longer knows what to say.
They are totally totality.
