Demetrio was clearly not surprised if the marriage request immediately got a shocked response from everyone. His mother fainted on the spot, so Demetrio had to visit his mother's room to calm her down.
"You're giving Mama a headache."
The beautiful woman whose face looked more like a twenty-five-year-old woman instantly wrinkled her face as soon as Demetrio came.
"What does it mean to be married four days? You think you can joke like this with Mama?"
Demetrio grabbed a branch of grapes while laughing amusedly. "It seems Henderson has contacted all parties related to the arrangement. I think tomorrow they'll all come and start putting up decorations, ma."
Means: I'm serious aka not kidding alias this is reality.
"Huh." Mama looked at him in disbelief even if he already knew how the character of his first child.
"Mama doesn't understand why you're being chased by a mad dog. There's at least a week two weeks and you pick four days?"
Actually it wasn't Demetrio who chose but if Mama misunderstood, it wasn't too bad for anyone.
Demetrio has freedom of choice.
"It wasn't as bad as Mama thought." Demetrio smiled innocently stuffing the wine into Mama's open mouth.
As a silent signal.
"We can make another show that more people realize if you want. For now, in four days' time, the show will take place."
Mama looked at her eldest child with a resigned highlight.
Are really. He always did something as good as his heart if it was already dealing with the pleasures of the heart.
"alright. Do as you please."
"Thank you."
"But Mama won't be responsible for the gossip because of that hasty marriage. You take care of everything."
"sure."
Mama sighed again knowing her son really did not feel wrong.
Demetrio laughed.
Better, huh? Better at what? Behave? In the face or intelligence?
All of that is not important. Demetrio never cared about whether a woman was an Oxford graduate or just a woman without an education or even an Elementary degree.
Intelligence, beauty, good manners, why is that important to Demetrio? The only thing that stands out is that he is attractive or unattractive.
"You know you have to be serious this time, right? Don't suddenly cancel it again three days later."
Although it was actually a rebuke, Demetrio just laughed as if he had no faults. Regretting his own decision the impossible Demetrio did, so two years ago, Demetrio had no regrets.
"Larisa must hate me now, Ma. Hates me so much."
"Of course," Mama replied while observing how her son seemed happy. "If Mama is Larisa, Mama will marry you to pour poison on the first night. That's a satisfying revenge."
Demetrio laughed. "And if that happens?"
"That's not gonna happen." Mama breathed for the umpteenth time. Staring at the ceiling of his room while remembering how this child grew up. "You're such a kid."
Larisa is definitely not the first and only person that Demetrio despises as she once was. This child, ever since he was a very young boy, everything around him had already spun around in a foreign manner.
He was selfish in a scary way. Though he was not raised while spoiling, Demetrio now controls the whole family as he wishes.
"You made Larisa hate you just so you could pick up that kid's hate as a new game."
Mama glanced at Demetrio who was smiling innocently.
"Demetrio, Mama will just tell. There will be a time when the world will not side with you."
He'd better be more careful with his never-ending game. Because someone could have come to destroy everything.
Even if it's not an easy job.
