CHAPTER 19: Raffa's New Desire

Rea's mood was very volatile. After reaching the destination and seeing the beauty of Parangtritis Beach which was then crowded with young people as well as small children who were ready to celebrate fireworks on Valentine's Day made Rea immediately forget his frustration on Raffa.

When the car he was riding stopped in the parking lot, Rea immediately scattered out and spread his hands happy to feel the gusts of cool beach breeze hit every inch of his skin. In the back, Raffa followed while chuckling watching Rea's child-like behavior but so funny he thought.

Reflek, he rubbed the top of the girl's head in an anxious manner with a smile. It was great to see Rea happy with him.

Rea sculpting. Raffa's small treatment like this somehow has the effect of paralyzing every nervous system in his body. He became paralyzed as soon as he saw the man smiling sweetly at him. Did Rea just realize it? Raffa is very handsome and charming.

Still struggling with his erratic thoughts while staring at Raffa's face in a dumbstruck manner, Rea felt Raffa's fingers peek into his sidelines and grasped him tightly.

"We sit there, yuk," the tall handsome man asked, pointing to one of the tables with two chairs arranged specifically for couples.

Rea saw it, but it was still lost. He followed the steps of his lover and his best friend in silence. He was not used to anything like this, even in the simplest of terms like the man's fingers clasping his hands so warm at the moment. Rea was stunned looking at their finger link. The warmth of Raffa's hands seemed to spread to his heart and throughout his body, even his face felt warm and the longer it became hotter.

Raffa let go of the link in order to pull the chair for the girl who had made him so happy for having reciprocated his feelings. Rea had felt lost and not willing for a moment because Raffa released the warmth, but he quickly realized and immediately sat down while smiling and thanking his best friend.

Rea bit both cheeks. He felt very funny, nervous, astonished, everything mixed up in the face of all this. He could no longer look at Raffa as just a mean-spirited high school boy. Everything was different, especially him. Is this what you call falling in love?

In love?

Rea immediately raised his gaze. Staring at Raffa who was smiling enjoyed the strains of songs sung by a band on the stage that was deliberately installed to entertain beach visitors at that time.

Rea swallowed unconsciously. His feelings churned in a split second. His heart felt increasingly taut. He felt the heat running back on his cheeks. He's blushing. Just like a girl who was staring at the man she loved in a romance drama that she had been watching.

The girl quickly turned her gaze towards the stage as Raffa wanted to turn her head. The stupid behavior of a girl in love that he used to always ridicule when he saw her in the drama, exactly he did at this time. Rea felt very stupid.

He did not even dare to look at Raffa who obviously wanted to invite him to speak. He still stared at the stage with a gaze that was not really focused in that direction at all. He ignored the man who had been staring at him for a while earlier a sign he wanted to say something. Rea ignored.

Nah! Rea didn't mean that one bit.

So stupid! He really doesn't know how to.

"I'll get a drink first. What do you want?" raffa asked softly and stood up from her seat.

"Aah!" Rea was a bit surprised, even though he knew the man was going to say something. "A-what aja. Uh, sa-samin aja," he said stammered from nervousness.

Raffa was seen raising eyebrows in surprise to realize the strangeness of Rea's attitude. A second later, he nodded and left.

Rea followed the man's movements from the tail of his eyes until it disappeared. After Raffa disappeared, his shoulders instantly gagged, bowing deeply. It must have looked very stupid and strange.

Stupidly. Rea was so embarrassed.

A second later, he immediately sat up straight realizing that he was still acting strangely. She was exactly like the stupid girl she was teasing in the drama.

Rea bit her sad lips and returned bowed as if boneless.

He found himself strange but could do nothing about it.

When Raffa returned, Rea again became tense and nervous. He really wanted to cry. What's up with him?

For a few hours he should be in such a condition. Even as they ate, Rea quietly fed a large mouthful to her mouth when Raffa did not see her. When Raffa still saw him, he only dared to bribe even a little with a little presumptuous.

Whatever! Rea was frustrated in his heart. He simply could not stop all his strange behavior that just that time.

Fortunately, not long after they finished eating, all the beach visitors crowded on the beach. The fireworks are about to start.

Instantly, Rea could forget everything. Enthusiastically he ran into the crowd like a child. Raffa smiled at him. He smiled at the wide smile full of innocence that girl looked so sweet.

Today he smiled too much because of Rea. Before leaving, he had been smiling all day happily imagining himself and Rea going on a date. He was even a labile teenager whenever he imagined Rea agreeing to his invitation to go on a date a few days ago.

Seeing Rea's nervousness today with him also makes Raffa so happy and does not stop developing a smile. Rea acted exactly like a girl who was nervous about being with a guy she liked. Raffa even knew when the innocent girl secretly dared to suck a big bribe into her mouth when she did not see and only ate a little if Raffa saw her. Raffa knew that, he just pretended not to have seen it. He watched everything from the tail of his eyes and silently tried his best to hold back a smile.

Seeing Rea's behavior in the car earlier, making Raffa know this will happen. He was close to a lot of girls. In early and first dates, girls who like their date basically always keep their way of eating.

Given his mischief that many girls have dated just for fun, Raffa felt quite guilty and regretful when he saw Rea's innocent smile that was so happy to see the colorful sparkle of fire light. Sparkling adorn the face of the vibrant night sky full of the joy of those who celebrate it.

In the crowd of people, Rea seemed to shine in Raffa's eyes. Smiling happily as if she had been reborn into a beautiful fairy. In Raffa's heart comes a very new desire. He wanted to continue seeing that happy smile and laughter etched beautifully on Rea's face. Raffa wants to protect that innocent, fragile girl.

Uncommanded, Raffa split the crowd following Rea who was still engrossed in admiring the beauty of the fireworks in the sky while occasionally clapping happily.

The girl saw Raffa's arrival and wanted to say something about the fireworks but the silence of a thousand languages with the body sculpted digested the man's actions which she had not expected.

Raffa hugged him. Real tight. As if I didn't want to lose that girl.

Rea looked clueless, but did not know what to do. He just stared even when Raffa had broken his arms and looked into his eyes.

"I love you, Re."
