That afternoon Liang village was revived after a full day of heavy rain, black clouds covered the entire city with darkness. Lightning accompanied by strong winds like it would annihilate the village.
Fortunately the disaster had ended, leaving only the occasional drizzling rain and thunder followed by lightning.
Lin Chen, a young man who lives with his grandmother in Liang village, his father abandoned him when he was ten years old and lives with his mother and grandmother in limited circumstances.
His father was not a native of Liang village, he came from nowhere while his mother was a native of Liang village. They met while working together in the city. After his father left, his mother then returned to the village and lived with his grandmother.
Lin Chen was a top general medicine graduate of the University in the city, at least that was the presumption of the people around him. Though actually Lin Chen himself had not finished his education at the end, he took a sabbatical due to limited costs and other things.
Originally Lin Chen only wanted to live peacefully, not grandiosely, after graduation then work and take care of Mom and Grandmother. But reality says otherwise, competition and life in the city is very heavy, it is said that connection is the best way to success other than ability, no matter how smart you are, it is said that connection is the best way to succeed, if you do not have a connection, you will only occupy the lowest position.
A month ago Lin Chen returned to the village, his mother's health condition forced him to return and take care of her. If not who else? unfortunately not long after, his mother left him and a year after that his grandmother also left.
The only relics of Mother and grandmother are a small house and a piece of land that has been living it. Lin Chen grew vegetables and various types of herbs for sale in the city market, the herbs he planted to meet the needs of the herbal store, just adding income.
"Is the sky cleaning?" muttered Lin Chen while looking up at the sky that was still covered in black clouds. His gaze was fixed on some objects scattered around his house.
Perhaps it was because of the strong gale that was like a hurricane that brought some items and dropped them from the sky that Lin Chen thought so.
Lin Chen started to collect scattered objects that were mostly small pieces of wood, plastic waste, papers and so on. He collected them into one in a large wooden box and placed them next to the house to then sort them out before throwing them out later.
After settling down, Lin Chen walked to his field located behind the house. He frowned when he saw the actions of nature in his fields, ready-to-harvest herbs and vegetables collapsed, there were even some that were lifted from the ground.
"This sky really knows how to make me hard." Inner Lin Chen.
After all that had happened, Lin Chen's demand was not much, cultivating the fields to eat repairing the house in order to live a little decent then getting married, that was all.
But today the sky didn't even give it that chance. Many plants can no longer be used, the house is partially damaged.
Lin Chen could only continue to complain and blame the sky.
Perhaps the sky heard Lin Chen groaning, not long after it finished cleaning up the mess, the rain and wind finally stopped, although it was still cloudy but at least it was already much calmer.
"Oh sky, you finally stopped too. Wh why? are you tired of making a fuss? are you tired already? hahaha let's throw out your trash again, I'm still strong! hahaha shit."
Perhaps out of exhaustion or thinking about his circumstances, Lin Chen became strange, speaking to the sky. "These rubbish won't make me tired." He grumbled in annoyance.
Jgerr....!!
"Why, are you still not satisfied, are you still ...
Not finished Lin Chen said, suddenly from the sky down various kinds of objects or arguably is the trash that covers his fields, there was even a large enough wood hit part of his house until it collapsed. Lin Chen was forced to run away for fear of being hit.
"Hais is my bad luck, I'm sorry. Sky, you forgive me." said Lin Chen sincerely as he slightly bowed with both hands clenched in front of his chest.
What he did not realize was that all these things just fell in place, really only in the area of his house and fields as if they were deliberately placed there. Lin Chen could only clean up the mess once more while sighing.
The next day, Lin Chen went back to inspect the fields, hoping that there were still herbs or vegetables left for sale. The rubbish that had been scattered before was united. Stone, wood piled in the yard.
"Even the dried herbs have been lost somewhere." muttered Lin Chen. Shortly afterwards Lin Chen decided to go to the herb shop.
"Uncle Tang, how are you today?" greet Lin Chen who had just arrived at the herbal shop that belonged to uncle Tang.
It is quite far from Liang village. Uncle Tang was a village healer who also opened a herbal shop. His expertise was mediocre and his clinic only treated minor illnesses such as the flu due to cold weather, headaches or fractures which he could only give first aid before being referred to the Hospital in the city.
"Uncle Tang...." Lin Chen hesitated for a moment. "What's the matter, just say it." said Uncle Tang to see Lin Chen's hesitation. "Hey, you come in. Don't think about anything else, take care of yourself and come help me." continued Uncle Tang again. He knew quite well Lin Chen, in his view, Lin Chen was a kind and sincere young man.
It could be said that Uncle Tang was taking care of Lin Chen, letting him learn traditional medicine and helping him in the clinic.
For this reason it was also so that Lin Chen was growing herbs for sale and at the same time meeting his living needs.
"The storm was really great, look, a lot of villagers came for treatment" said uncle Tang. "What about your village? is the impact severe enough?"
"Even my house was partially destroyed. Uncle, I can only save very few herbs." said Lin Chen sadly.
That day Lin Chen was helping Uncle Tang at the clinic. "Chen, take this, don't refuse, go to the market and buy your needs."
"But uncle...."
"That's your salary for today," don't refuse. "tomorrow come early."
"Okay uncle, thank you."
A few days passed, the patient at uncle Tang's clinic began to quiet down. "Uncle Tang, I'll take a few days off then, my house needs to be fixed" Lin Chen said before heading home. Uncle Tang nodded in agreement. After all there is not much to do anymore in the clinic, basically the clinic is indeed quiet. Were it not for the catastrophic storm, then they would never have been busy for some time.
