“Eeeaaakkkrrr! Eeeaaakkkrrr! Hahahak..!”

The sound of screaming pursued by hundreds of Mountain Foot Troops was actually heard away when approached.

“Quick chase! Don't let it pass!” shouted Commander Juluk.

Armed with torches carried by some of the soldiers, they continued to chase to dark places away from their camp positions.

The short! Bdak!

Suddenly some of the leading soldiers slipped and fell hard on the ground. Not long after, more and more soldiers slipped, along with the pungent scent that pierced the nose.

Those who slip become suspicious when they feel them falling in a typical smelly place, namely the smell of oil.

“Stop! Just stop! There's oil!” shouted one of the fallen soldiers.

“Be careful your torch!” the other soldier panicked.

However, there was one torch-bearer soldier who understood too late. He came running fast and slipped on the muddy ground.

Bdak! Sless's!

“Aaak! Akk! Aaa...!”

“Hot! Panaaa! Hot!”

When the torch fell to the ground, the fire immediately lit up on the ground and spread widely. Dozens of soldiers who were in the oily ground were burned, especially those who fell and their clothes were covered in oil. While the only ones stepped on, hurriedly scurrying around in all directions while trying to extinguish the fire in their pants.

“Eeeaaakkkrrr! Eeeaaakkkrrr! Hahahak..!”

There were again shouts and laughter from afar in the darkness, as if laughing at the trapped soldiers.

The dug dug dug...!

“Aac! Aww! Akk...!”

Suddenly the soldiers were hit by huge stones coming from the darkness. The size of the stones from the size of a fist to the size of a goat's head.

The heads of the soldiers hit by the stone throw would obviously suffer death or serious injuries. Fortunately, they did not wear head protection, so the victims died quite a lot. The lucky ones here meant the Iron Elephant Army, not the Mountain Leg Army.

“Eeeaaakkkrrr! Eeeaaakkkrrr! Hahahak..!”

There continued to be cries that greatly disturbed the hearing and burned the feelings of the Mountain Foot Troopers, especially its commanders.

What was experienced by Commander Juluk's troops became the attention of the troops in the camp.

“Open, help Commander Juluk's team!” the Superior Commander shouted at the edge of the camp.

“Eeeaaakkkrrr! Eeeaaakkkrrr! Hahahak..!”

The cries of the Iron Elephant Army were heard away as the army of Superior Commander Kerok arrived, indicating that the attackers had fled.

“What happened?” asked Senopati Kampala who just came out of his big tent.

“It looks like there are enemy troops infiltrating and burning tents, Gusti,” replied the right-hand soldier Commander Kampala.

“Gather all squad commanders!” senopati Kampala orders cold. He seems to be calm.

“Good, Gusti,” said his bodyguard.

Senopati Kampala then re-entered the tent.

When the soldiers on the north side moved slightly to the center of the camp to find out more clearly the events on the south side, from within the darkness on the north side sprung dozens of burly soldiers carrying jugs of oil.

The Iron Elephant army moved quietly around large tents where it stored a large stock of food.

The guard soldiers who had not left his place, but were looking towards the south, were ambushed from behind and killed.

Pre prak prak...!

Jugs filled with oil are broken in piles of groceries.

Not long after, the fire raged in the storage tents. After that, the army of twenty soldiers immediately ran back into the darkness.

When they all disappeared into the darkness, they shouted.

“Eeeaaakkkrrr! Eeeaaakkkrrr! Hahahak..!”

Surprised were the soldiers of the Mountain Foot Troop who heard the loud cries from within the darkness. They were more surprised because the fire was already burning big in the tent area of the food barn.

“Tenda terbakaaar groceries! Tents food terbakaaar!” the soldiers who saw the fire.

The panicked cries of the soldiers on the north side instantly caught the attention of the camp residents. So they flocked to the north side to help put out the fire, for they knew there was a tent of food.

“Eeeaaakkkrrr! Eeeaaakkkrrr! Hahahak..!”

Hundreds of soldiers worked quickly to save the groceries that became the hope of their stomachs.

A new commotion was created on the north side of the camp, luring Senopati Kampala out of his tent. This time his face stiffened furiously, like a sleeping person waking up to the noise of cheating people. Not to mention the commanders gathered, there was already a new chaos.

“Report, Gusti! Our groceries are burned by intruders, Gusti!” report the right-hand soldier of the senopati.

“Busty!” senopati Kampala.

Senopati looked towards the far north. He faintly heard the sound of shouts and laughter like a demon in the darkness.

“Ambo Commander! Commander Rungkat!” shouts Senopati Kampala loudly calling.

The two summoned commanders immediately ran over facing.

“Send two hundred cavalry chasing enemy troops. Follow up with two thousand troops!” senopati Kampala Order.

“Good, Gusti!” said the two commanders obediently. They immediately turned around and left to prepare an army in the fastest time possible.

Drap drap...!

Two hundred horsemen then ran out of the camp and headed towards the north side. Some of the riders carried torches as street lights.

“They chase with horses! Quickly go straight to the river!” shouted the leader of the twenty soldiers who set fire to the barn tent of groceries. They did not expect to be chased by a horse troop that was certainly faster.

“Eeeaaakkkrrr! Eeeaaakkkrrr! Hahahak..!”

The twenty soldiers were running around quickly while constantly shouting to show their positions to the enemy troops.

However, the fury seemed to make the Mountain Foot Troop no longer care, whether it was a trap or the enemy troops just wanted to burn the foodstuffs in the camp.

Drap drap...!

Quickly the cavalry came closer, just as the twenty Iron Elephant Force soldiers leaped into the river. Along with that, their screaming sounds disappeared.

“Throw!”

Suddenly there was the sound of screaming from within the darkness across the river.

One, two, three.

Dug duk deg...!

From within the darkness suddenly appeared a rain of large stones coming from the opposite direction of the river. The number of stones was not ten or twenty, but hundreds.

“Aac! Akk! Akh...!” the screams of the horsemen who were hit by a stone pounding a lump of mango.

Not only did the soldiers scream, the horses also screamed and were in pain, as a result of which the horses went wild uncontrollably.

The Mountain Foot Force is famous for its safety-coated uniforms. However, the troops this time were not in complete uniform. Their hasty deployment made them unable to wear protective gear, including leather helmets. They are not shielded either.

As a result of not wearing a protective layer, the stones that hit them inflicted untold suffering. Moreover, the stones were thrown from across the river with deep exertion. The horses were hit by rocks.

The soldiers fell from the horses, even with the horses.

“Seraaangrrr!” shouted one commando who spoke wildly.

“Eeeaaakkkrrr! Eeeaaakkkrrr!” shouted many people sourced from the right and left sides of the cavalry, from within the darkness.

The next moment, hundreds of burly men sprang up from the darkness, on the right and left sides of the chaotic cavalry.

The more destroyed the cavalry. They were quickly eliminated. The target was completed before the follow-up troops from the camp reached the site.

After killing one enemy soldier with his spear fist, one Iron Elephant Force soldier immediately escaped. That's how it works.

When the hundreds of Iron Elephant Troops had already disappeared back into the darkness, the entire cavalry was dead without anyone pretending to be alive. The ambush was very brief.

When Commander Embo and Commander Rungkat arrived with his two thousand troops, they were shocked. Their shock was that the enemy could slaughter two hundred horsemen in just the duration of boiling an egg.

“Eeeaaakkkrrr! Eeeaaakkkrrr! Hahahak..!”

There were wild cries from across the river, accompanied by ridiculing laughter. It really made the two commanders' ears hot. However, they still think seven times if they want to force the pursuit of enemy troops across the river.

“We just back off. I'm sure they're ready in the water to ambush us. Darkness becomes an advantage for them,” Commander Embo told Commander Rungkat.

“Agreement. We kill them tomorrow morning,” Commander Rungkat said.

“Open, munduuur!” commander Embo shouted to his troops.

The two commanders then turned their horses. The great army followed his lord's orders.

“Eeeaaakkkrrr! Eeeaaakkkrrr! Hahahak..!”

The louder the screams sounded from across the river. However, it already did not affect the decisions of the two commanders.

Plans for a large assault of the Iron Elephant Army were also canceled. Hundreds of soldiers were waiting in the dark river. There were also thousands of soldiers ready across the river. (BH)
