Chapter 11: Training and learning

Already at 7 pm, Yuda and his roommates, went to the cafeteria to eat. Yuda was the last one out of his dorm room. He noticed the room door number, no. 065. The location of the canteen is not far from the dormitory. When the cafeteria door opened, it was so wide inside. There are about 20-30 dining tables. The next day, at 9 am. Training starts. Yuda, Andy and Luca who both took Frontline got pencak silat training. From the instructions before the practice of holding real weapons, they will first learn the martial art of pencak silat. In addition, it is not only the front line that also learns pencak silat. All positions must be able to pencak silat. Pencak silat is very mandatory to learn because, if when fighting with a matis then they lose their weapons or get out of hand at least can still fight with empty arms.

As with a beginner who is just learning pencak silat, first all frontline members are given basic training pencak silat, but because the training is only given 2 weeks, Judah and 24 survivors were required to learn how to fight in a short time.

On the second day, without taking time, Yuda and Andy and Luca will learn how to shoot a target with a gun, like police training to shoot a target, they are taught how to hold the right gun, and they will learn how to use the right gun, holding the trigger and shooting directly at the target. If this is smooth, then it will go directly to the next stage, holding a firearm whose size is spelled out for the size of the army.

Various trainings are given by all survivors within 2 weeks according to the position they take. Those who take the front line are led to be able to fight and hold weapons. Weapons themselves were generally shotguns, but if a front line wanted to take a risk, they could try other options. Like a sword, an arrow, or even a knife. Only a handful of frontlines would dare to risk fighting in a different way, but that was needed because not all firearms could hit the matis.

For an operator, most of them learn the ins and outs of a computer, a map, in learning to read conditions in quick time. The front line should also be able to read the conditions. But unlike front lines that read conditions directly on the spot, operators are more difficult than that, they have to read the movement of enemies from the screen, and they have to rely on a variety of information that they can.

For backups, in addition to learning fighting techniques such as front line, they also learn to read the battle field and the ins and outs of bandung city, because they are the ones in charge of channeling logistics to the frontline. If several frontline team members are injured, backups are in charge of replacing them.

Standby though. They are indeed not the main position, but that does not mean they are not given training, the standby will be given training from all three positions.the point is, if their hearts are firm, their hearts are firm, they can have all three positions.

But among all the training and lessons, the main thing is to learn the matis themselves.

Each matis has their own level and region.The matis position is divided from C to S. The higher their level, the stronger they are, the more powerful they are,  In addition, each matis has their own unique skills, so defeating them alone is not easy.

Then matis own their territory, but every 4 years, the territory of matis is always changing.  Unfortunately not all matis have their own territory, there are also independent matis. It means matis that moves at will. Usually matis who have their own territory there are groups and have leaders there are also those whose territory is controlled by themselves, but for the case of independent matis, they are not just moving at will, they are not just moving at will, they are opponents who do not want to be met by the frontline, because independent matis have A and S rank.

Yuda, Andy and Luca are currently studying the ins and outs of Matis, so far, they are told by the matis, which is quite scary.

Luca reads a book about matis while the instructor explains how to fight matis. There are various types of matis that he will definitely meet such as Pig ngepet which apparently has more than 1 territory, Nurse Death, Bloody Kids, Tuyul, and more,The Curse one and the one that gives Yuda the most goosebumps is Bloody Dress Women.
