Our blessing

The long journey they went through finally paid off. Icha and Rey arrive at her parents' residence in a small village away from the crowds, on the outskirts of Bogor.

"Assalamualaikum, mother's father." call Icha.

There was no word yet, Icha knocked on the door a few times, then her sister came out.

"Sir Ichaa" called his sister in disbelief.

"Dedi.."Call Icha with such vigor. He hugged his sister who had not met for four years. Now Dedi is big.

"where are mom and dad?" ask Icha then.

"Mom hasn't come home from work, and I'm selling at the market" said Dedi.

"So, first, sister, and then mom came home" said Dedi.

Icha walked into the house she missed so much these few years. Since leaving for college, Icha has never come home. Icha only sends money if she has more salary to help her mother in the village.

Icha into the kitchen and make drinks for Rey.

"Please drink it" said Icha.

"This is how my house is, so small and so far from fancy."

"I don't mind if you forget that!" said Rey

"Who is this brother?" ask Defi who has been watching Rey ever since. Curious to see Icha come home with a handsome man like a Korean star.

"Oh yes introduce this brother Rey, brother's friend." replied Icha.

"Not a friend, a future husband." Rey replied in annoyance.

Icha returned to the kitchen, preparing the food she brought into the container. He brought some bread forward and presented it to Rey.

"Assalamualaikum.." there was a voice of a woman.

"mother..." Icha's screams immediately rushed to hug her mother at the door.

"I...Icha...you're a son." said the stammered mother.

"yes Ma'am, this is Icha. forgive Icha Bu,"

The two women wept laying down their longing, the Rey genus looked at him.

"Who is this?" mother asked After she and Icha let go of each other's embrace.

"Ca.prospective husband." mom's reset.

"this is Icha Ma'am's friend, don't listen to her, you're healthy, aren't you?" Icha still hugged her mother who was sitting next to her.

Icha takes Rey to lunch and she tells Dedi to take Rey to town to pick up her father who sells there.

While she and her mother are home cooking and preparing dinner.

"Cha, is that your employer's son?" ask mom

Icha is surprised why mom arrives asking who Rey is!

"Two years ago someone came here looking for you and he said if you ran away with his employer's son, what did they mean Rey?'

"No, ma'am, I'm gone from Rey's life but I'm not a maid there. Rey is a rich kid, but she never gets any affection from her mother. Her mother was too busy with her possessions and company that she never noticed Rey, Rey had an accident and her mother told me to leave Rey.'

"I was away, until a few months ago Rey found me and asked me to get married."

"Did his mother bless you, son?"

Icha shaking. Mom took a deep and heavy breath, 'We're the ones who've been boys, not worthy of her being rich, why don't you just leave her."

"I can't Mom, I've run away from her but I can't lie to my heart if I just love her. I've tried to open your heart to others but I still can't."
