__July 2018__
My name Sunny Clarinda Elmurat means bright Sun whereas, El murat is my father's surname . Sounds cheesy, right? Yeah, I hate that name, too. I'm a student of XI High School.
Like teenagers in general who spend a lot of time for personal and friends who are fun, or spend time with whatever they like. Damnit damnit! I'm jealous of them.
Yes, I spend time just like them. The difference is, my time runs out with the hospital, doctor consultations, and occasionally come to social classes to gather with the same child like me. Sharing stories and listening to the 'basic' motivation of the Chairman Mother of a social class foundation who does not know what about the feelings of a child like us.
However, the most annoying thing is that I do other activities at home. Play at home, School at home, Work at home and other things. Just meet that person every day. Shitty right?
You can guess what happened to me. Aye! I'm a 15-year-old girl with systolic heart failure from birth. My first operation was when I was 8 years old. The doctor put a ring on my back to deal with the narrowing of the blood vessels. I was the first child of my parents. My mom is currently pregnant with her second child. I am happy with that with the presence of my sister-to-be I hope that my mother is not too sad when the day of my departure arrives.
The doctor said I was blessed enough to still breathe. Based on his experience, children who have the same case as me usually only survive until the beginning of puberty around 9-12 years.
However, he regretfully said that my life span would not last long. Although it is uncertain when my last day will arrive. My parents and I should be prepared for that day to come. At first I was annoyed every time I remembered that but, over time I got used to it. I never get angry when people say I'm sick because, that's the truth. What I hate is when they think I'm lousy and useless. It usually only troubles people. And use me for their benefit. Oh come on, only my heart that doesn't work properly the other organs are still normal.
I love to paint and listen to music across genres. One of my paintings is on display in the Hospital Lobby where I Control, Check up and Teraphy.
Because my life span won't be long. Don't I have to do the best thing for the rest of my life, right? I persuaded Mama to go to public school when she went to class XI. Of course, his first offer was rejected raw. But I didn't give up.
I asked Mama to come back so she would let me. He finally agreed too. On the condition that there is no sport, there is no extracurricular. Yes, that's still a profit.
Today was the first day I entered school I immediately went up to XI class in accordance with my Home school. It wasn't easy to do it but my Home school teacher did everything she could. Plus he was a close friend of the principal at my current school.
Mama turned the key off her car engine. I sighed a little nervously while pulling out the seatbelt.
"Sweatheart, december?" Ask mama. My hand stopped when I opened the car door.
"Moreover Ma?" My complaint. Who listened to my mother's chatter from morning.
"Ga No Sports, No Ex..."
"Trakulikuler, don't snack recklessly, take medicine on time, call mama if something happens." I added while turning the eyeballs.
"Clevers! Enjor your school, kaka." Mama said with her smile and eyesmile
"I go first ma, Dah Aegi." Akupamit to my mom and sister.
I stared at the school gate that read 'SMA NEGERI PILAR BANGSA'. I took my foot to the school gate. I was so excited that it felt like my chest was going to explode. I took a breath and continued my steps into the school.
My eyes are wandering around staring. It was strange to see so many people in the same place and wearing uniform clothes. I see some of them looking relaxed once and some of them look nervous just like me.
"Sunny Clarinda el murat." Someone said my name. I looked at the source of the voice.
"You're Sunny, right?" Ask a man.
I stared at his nametag pin saying 'Demian Ivon S'. He smiled at me. I know that expression. I hateit.
"Yes." Yeah." Answer's short.
"Cave Demian Ivon Soedarno, do we have an anterine cave class?" He said as he extended his hand. For God's sake! I hate the people who look at Iba to me.
"Thank you. But, no need. The cave can be alone." My speech. He looks to be pulling his hand back.
I stepped up to sing the man. I remember remembering. Grade XI-IIS-II. Okay let's go to class! I cried in my heart.
After a while I searched my class. Finally, I stood in front of a staircase leading up to my class and looked up. My class is on the third floor. Very unfriendly for people with Heart Failure like me.
I just feel like going home. But I broke my intention. Not again! This time I can!.
My feet step up to each step of the stairs. At first it was normal, but when I got to the second floor, my chest felt like it was going to break. The clock in my hand kept blinking. Alrighty! I'm taking a break. I sat in the corner of the stairs to the 3rd floor while adjusting my breath so as not to panic. Cold sweat came down from my temple. School is exhausting. I understand why many students complain so quickly.
I saw a student. His face was very flat but his gaze was cold and empty. For some reason, a chill ran through my body as he passed by me.
"Sorry, Help! Please help me get to class." His steps suddenly stopped he retreated then aligned with me.
He looked at my outstretched arm asking for his help. Hazel's eyes were empty. It's hideous! That was my first impression when our eyes met.
"Lo can be alone." He said with a heavy voice.
I was stunned to hear his answer. Then he continued his steps. I was silent for a moment until I finally decided to force myself into the classroom.
_Class Room_
I breathed a sigh of relief when I saw my classroom door. My chest began to ache with fatigue.
I looked around quite boisterously. Is anyone chatting, playing online games, reading books, and having breakfast?.
My breath was blocked for a moment when my eyes were on the girl in the back row of the bench.2 people were sitting opposite while chatting they were women and men.
Yeah, I recognize their faces. The cold woman who refused to help me and the annoying guy I rejected. Whoa! An unexpected coincidence.
The man looked at me. He smiled warmly and moved from his seat and approached me.
"Yes sunny? Demian Ivon Cave call Devon. You can sit next to the cave." He said while showing his seat is located on the front seat.
"Thanks, but no!" My speech.
My eyes were on the cold girl. His lips twitched withholding laughter as he looked at us. The man named Demian felt awkward.
"Eumm okay, you want to sit next to Daisy, back there?" Show it to the girl.
Daisy's? Name's Daisy? Doesn't fit him. Daisy shrugged her shoulders indifferently she reached into her pocket and pulled out the headset. He listened to the song and closed his eyes.
I look around. Every bench has been occupied. There are only 2 left next to Demian or Daisy. Why these 2 people?
I looked at the man before me who was smiling foolishly with a face full of hope. I think it would be really annoying if I sat next to him. Besides, I've already rejected it.
I put my foot closer to Daisy. I put my bag right next to it.
I took a long breath. What a strange first day!
Shortly after I sat down a teacher with loud shoes entered our classroom. The sound of her shoes filled the classroom. We were all silent.
She looks young and beautiful. The skin is a typical yellow Southeast Asian, the nose is small and rather high but the look of his face is mysterious. It doesn't look cold nor does it look warm.
Not only that, which is interesting. However, the suit he was wearing added to the mysterious impression of this teacher. With a black shirt wrapped in a black blazer, and a knee-length span skirt that he was wearing was black. Not to forget the loud shoes he wore were shiny black heels. Pretty weird for the first day of school, right? He was wearing a black suit like he was mourning.
He stared intently at the classroom behind his Photocromic glasses. Seen in his hand he carried several sheets of paper.
"Waalaikumsallam, Good Morning." Answer the class.
"I'm Herawati Horison, you can call me Miss Hera. I'm the new Student and Head of BK at this school." Evidently. There was the sound of breathing from some students.
He held his full lips.
"Let's just relax I'm not your homeroom teacher. I'm just here to replace the one who can't be here today." He smiled at his neatly lined teeth. But it's still mysterious.
I looked at Daisy next to me who did not react in the slightest. He doesn't seem to care at all. The headset is still in his ear. Not very polite!
"I'm here to be.." His words stopped.
"Hey you!!!" It's kind of snapping. He pointed his finger at me.
I'm appalled. Suddenly my chest hurt. It feels so cramped. The clock in my hand flickered loudly. The other students stared at me. Baffled.
"I'm sorry, but it's not you, it's you next to him. You're wearing the headset. Get off now!" Say it with a firm tone.
I try to keep my breath calm. But it didn't work. My chest feels like it's been pierced this always happens when I'm shocked or exhausted. It really hurts.
"Why you?" Ma'am Hera came up to me.
My confused classmate is now getting closer wondering what happened to me. It definitely made my chest hurt more.
"Heyy!! Distance love! Distance only!" Demian exclaimed as he gave space to me.
"Hey Sun, calm down, okay." Demian knelt down before me, trying to calm me down.
My body says otherwise.
Demian grabbed me and took me out of the classroom. We walked up the stairs. We sat on one of the stairs.
"Hey Sunny, look at me here." He pulled my face
"Look at to my eyes!." I looked into Hazel's shiny eyes.
"Ikutin cave yes. Breathe in calmly. Breathe in a calm breath." I followed his directions and slowly my chest improved. The clock pressed the button on my watch so it wouldn't be noisy anymore. Then took out the medicine I always brought in for anticipation.
"Are you ok? Going to the hospital?" I shook my head
"That's what?." Demian asked.
"This? Or this?" I asked back while showing the clock and the medicine.
"Two."the request.
"It's Smartwatch. A clock made especially for a cave kayak. He'll be noisy if something happens to the heart of the cave." I clearly showed the clock in my hand.
"Where is Nitrogliceryn. It's a drug that the Cave always carries in anticipation." Demian nodded in understanding.
I swallowed the medicine I always carried in my pocket for anticipation. Then keep my breath calm.
"Lo'll have to relax a lot." He said as he slowly pulled my shoulder back and then rubbed my back
Success made me feel better. The pain in my chest slowly faded.
"Since when?" She asked
"Dear?" I don't get it. "Lo's disease." Evidently
I let out a breath. "From birth."
"Papa grotto Turkey and mama Indonesia. Reshus they are different. The risk of her child being born disabled is great." Clearly, Demian nodded in understanding.
"Yahhh, Gak asik dong. Can not Sports, can not be given a surprise, can not capean deh." His complaint.
"Yeah thanks, cave life is not cool." My complaint. His face felt bad and awkward.
"Euumm, that's not what the cave meant. Your life will be less fun during this time, you should be able to fight dong. Illness must be fought." Enthusiasticity says.
I looked at his ever-excited face for some reason making me sick. Because I know it's all fake.
"How?" My toot.
"Later show the same cave lo. It's okay, right? Let's go to class!." Take it while you take my hand.
"Demians."
"Eumm?"
"Thank you."
We also went back to class. Demian walked leisurely next to me as she entered the classroom.
All eyes were on us as we entered the classroom.
"Have you felt better?" Bu Hera asked breaking the silence.
"It still hurts a bit, but the rest I feel better." I said.
"You're sunny, huh? New kid? You haven't met your friend's friend?" Ask. I'm nodding.
I took a position. Stand in front of the Blackboard. Demian was standing next to me. Overseeing.
"Hi! My name is Sunny Clarinda El-murat.16 years old with Systolic heart failure since birth. Sorry for the mess I caused. For the rest I will try to do better. Please help." I introduced myself and then bowed politely.
Demian walked me to sit on the bench. I thanked Demian once again he nodded and sat back on his stool.
I looked at the friend next to me. His eyes were still cold and empty. He didn't budge a bit.
Shut up I noticed her face was beautiful. With eyebrows engraved neatly and firmly without eyebrow pencil. His soft eyes were not too small, nor too big. His nose was quite high with full lips. His stature is also high. He was almost the same height as Demian around 172-174 and I think Demian around 178-180.
Ms. Hera explained the school rules. He told us who was our guardian. Her name is Miss Lilian. He also helped students in my class to organigram.
