Son-in-law's Choice
*MP Episode 40

"Where the hell are you going, Zak? Can't believe me if you just take me out to dinner. Because we usually have dinner at home, right every night?"

"Yes .. that's regular dinner, Zery. This time, we'll have a wonderful dinner. Different than before."

"Excellent?"

"Yes, it's amazing."

Zery no longer answered. It's Zaki's lyrics that are right next to him. Who are focused on the road they go through, but had time to give lips to smile.

Moments later, the car arrived at the restaurant that Zaki had booked. The restaurant looked quite quiet as no one came.

The quiet restaurant was enough to make Zery feel confused. Well, because usually, the name of the restaurant is always crowded, right? So, when a restaurant is quiet without visitors, it will arise a strange impression by itself.

"This ... What happened?" Zery said while looking around.

"Don't care about us, Ze. Because here, there will only be you and me, as well as some servants who won't bother us."

"But this is weird, Zak."

"And I told you tonight is a special night for us. Especially, for me .. ah, let's eat now. It will be cold, Zerina Mukhti."

Without responding to what Zaki said with a speech, Zery began his dinner even though with a sense of confusion.

After enjoying dinner in peace. Zaki said he wanted to go to the bathroom for a while. Zery also agreed on what Zaki said.

Moments after Zaki's departure, a waiter came to pick up Zery. "Sorry mbak. Can you come with me for a minute?"

"Where are you going? I'm waiting for someone else to." Zery spoke in a plain tone without the slightest bit of suspicion.

"Somewhere I might like. Come on!"

"Ah, iy-yeah. Alright." It flashed in Zery's mind to refuse. But, he immediately thought of what Zaki said. If tonight was a special night for them. So, maybe this is part of Zaki's plan. Therefore, he chose to come.

Zery walked nervously behind the waiter. Apparently, they went to the back door of the restaurant that when the door was open, Zery could immediately enjoy the cool and comfortable air in the park which now lighting only using candles only.

"Someone was waiting there. Go ahead" said the waiter tenderly.

Without saying a single word to the waiter, Zery just slipped inside. However, when he arrived at the park, he found no one. He's alone here. This makes Zery not able to enjoy the view of the park well.

'Who the hell is waiting for me? How come there's no one at all? Ah, is it possible Zaki? But .... "

Not even the words of the heart was finished Zery said, suddenly, Zaki emerged from behind a large pot of ornamental plants. With a bouquet of bright red roses, Zaki walked up to Zery.

"Zaki's."

"Zery, tonight is the most special night for us. I wanted to tell you a secret. Do you want to hear it, princess?" Zaki said while handing over the bouquet of flowers he had brought.

Actually, Zery felt a bit awkward about what was going on. He wants to ruin the atmosphere by answering Zaki's words like before. But apparently, it can't be done now. Because it would be very damaging.

"What secret? Just say it as soon as possible."

"Secret, if I've liked you since we were together. Zerina, I love you. Will you be my wife forever?"

"I ... wait a minute. Am I not your wife now?"

"Yes. But I don't have you yet, Zery. I still haven't expressed my feelings to you right now. Zery, I realize, by being together, I'm getting scared to lose you. So, promise to be with me forever huh."

"But .... "

"Zers. But what?" Suddenly, Zaki was feeling very nervous right now. He was afraid if his feelings were immediately rejected Zery as he had imagined before.

"I .... " Once again, Zery hung up his sentence which made Zaki even more anxious.

"I ... What, Zer? Just tell me honestly what you feel. Because I already said what I wanted to say. And ... I'm ready to be disappointed after saying everything that's in my heart."

That sound pretty sad. Zery who heard that, not feeling pity and also felt what Zaki felt. Uh, it's kind of funny what Zaki's showing.
