Chapter 60: Seven Instincts – Corpsedog! (Part 1)
After opening the front door of his house, Lu Shu saw that Lu Xiaoyu was watching a light comedy being played while on the sofa with her legs raised into the air. With a face full of surprise, he told Lu Shu, "Lu Shu, Lu Shu, the practice really worked. I no longer feel that the house is cold anymore!"
Initially stunned, Lu Shu then laughed after hearing his words.
This old apartment had no AC heating and when winter came, Lu Xiaoyu would always be wrapped in a thick blanket whenever she watched television on the sofa. Furthermore, he would wake up every morning with a cold feeling on his nose.
However, Lu Shu did not have a better idea in mind and all he could do was turn on the heater in Lu Xiaoyu's room on the coldest days. He would then sleep on the floor in his room where it would be more comfortable for the two of them.
Even so, the heater cannot be turned on as often as its owner leaves it in poor condition. Thus, turning it on would hardly resolve the situation at all.
In early spring, the nights were still very cold for them.
Everything's fine now. Lu Xiaoyu and Lu Shu both strengthened their physical condition through the cultivation of their abilities and were no longer afraid of the cold. No matter what is available to them in the future, the current benefits resulting from their training cannot be ignored.
Lu Shu checked, "We'll go and watch the movie tomorrow afternoon. I gave you your phone yesterday to buy tickets. Have you got it?"
"Yes, yes, I've got it," while nodding happily. Lu Xiaoyu had never been to the movies and just the thought of watching a movie with Lu Shu was enough to keep her awake all night feeling excited.
Lu Shu was too lazy to ask him about anything else. As for Lu Xiaoyu's training system, it was fully automated and there was no need to worry about it. Perhaps, she could even take the class while they watch the movie tomorrow …
How many people would be angry to death if they knew how carefree and easy Lu Xiaoyu's training journey was.
Lu Shu just took out all the rotten tofu parts he needed for business tomorrow morning and continued his training peacefully.
The plan tomorrow was to get up early in the morning to sell his smelly tofus and then proceed to bring Lu Xiaoyu to the cinema. After that, in the afternoon, they would go and eat the duck blood vermicelli soup mentioned by him a long time ago. There should be no problem with this plan.
There were no surprises from the lottery, nor did a piece of gold paper appear again.
Lu Shu had been mentally prepared long before and he was not disappointed at all.
With the remaining 14000 tribulations, he used all of them at once to purchase heavenly fruits with the aim of illuminating the 7th star of the night. He was curious to find out what magical phenomena would occur when he completed illuminating the first nebula on the map.
Lu Xiaoyu was sitting beside him, no longer watching television but rather, staring at Lu Shu swallowing the heavenly fruits one after another. His mouth drooled until it almost overflowed!
"Lu Shu, can you think of a way that I can eat just that one fruit. Just one!" as he raised his index finger to show the number '1' with a face full of sincerity.
Lu Shu's eyes opened wide and said helplessly, "This is something that you absolutely cannot eat."
"Aww.." as Lu Xiaoyu returned to watch television.
Until dawn, the sky appeared as white as the belly of a fish from a distance as the delicate white sunlight swiftly pierced through the layers of clouds that hid the sky.
The gathered heavenly energy that was at Lu Shu swirled around like a huge ripple at this moment, rapidly coursing through his entire body. It felt as if there was a storm and with the waves merging into a huge tsunami, it crashed into a huge obstacle to destroy it.
For the first time, Lu Shu felt pain from his own training, as if there was a dam clogging the rivers in his body that was inevitably destroyed by this 'tsunami' in one fell swoop.
All Lu Shu felt was a smooth feeling of calm and relief as this flow of energy passed.
The water must eventually return to the sea as all of this wandering celestial energy runs towards the 7th star.
As they gathered, the 7th star finally lit up, completing the first nebula on the map.
In this sea of boundless darkness within the map, the first nebula at the corner of the map emitted a majestic triumphal light!
Being an orphan since young with no one to rely on, Lu Shu had survived alone.
He understands the nature of society, where only the strongest will survive and that the world is never really fair at all.
If the true color of the world was really like that, the only thing he had to do was.
This excited feeling was like a key, gently entering the map of the galaxy.
With the 7th star in the center, the other 6 stars revolve around it on their own trajectory. This entire nebula felt as if it was its own world, establishing itself within Lu Shu's chest.
Just like a flame, there will come a day where it will light up brightly.
On top of the vast nebula, the top of the 7th nebula impressively revealed a black sword made of jade with the words written on it – Corpsog.
So this change happened by completing the first nebula? Lu Shu opened his eyes wide and with a deliberate wave of his hand, the Corpsedog rushed out from within his chest, hovering right in front of him.
The word "Corpsedog" was something Lu Shu was familiar with when he came across this term during his previous homework for the Dao Yuan class.
Man has three subtle spirits and seven basic instincts that motivate man. The spirits are divided into three realms, Heaven, Earth, and Man which are also known as subtle spirits, sensory spirits and life spirits respectively.
The seven basic instincts are divided into different types, namely into – happiness, anger, love, fear, sadness, evil and boredom. They are also known as Corpsedog, Hidden Arrow, Yin Sparrow, Scramble Thief, Non-Toxic, Impurities Removal and Smelly Lungs.
Lu Shu was unsure of the mystery of what the Corpsedog had predicted. Could these 7 nebulae represent their own 7 basic instincts?
This was the frustration that Lu Shu faced on her journey of developing her own abilities. There was no one he could ask for help from and he had to figure things out for himself through his own experiments.
Lu Shu couldn't possibly use that ancient-looking mysterious black blade to slash himself or Lu Xiaoyu right?
The sword was rather small in size and its body was flowing smoothly, looking more akin to a dagger than a sword.
The knife did not feel comfortable in his hand but could dance in the air as he wished.
Therefore, Lu Shu could not stop playing with him. Being able to control the dagger with just his mind, it meant that .. aside from his physical prowess reaching E grade, Lu Shu had opened another magical power class!
The flying dagger was not very fast, but it was definitely faster than the punch Lu Shu could throw and of course, it could not match the speed of a bullet. However, after harnessing this ability for a while, he immediately felt a sense of exhaustion …
This was the first time Lu Shu had felt tired since starting her training!
From that look, he had managed to reach E-class and had the ability to control flying swords though not for long. Lu Shu was also trying to control other items but other than this dagger, she could not even control a single piece of tissue …
Does this mean ... that it really is the ability to control flying swords?
Hey, if he can gain special abilities after reaching E-class, then what kind of level is his neighbor, Li Xianyi?
Lu Shu had originally intended to learn a bit of swordplay from Li Xianyi but withdrew his intention because he was unsure of the other party's true identity.
However, until now, Lu Shu had hatched a new plan because his galaxy map was related to the sword and he was considering whether he should learn a thing or two from Li Xianyi.
After all, he did have his own sword, but all he could do was some form of piercing action similar to a child's play.
So should she or shouldn't she have to learn from her neighbors? Lu Shu thought for a long time before deciding that it was better to remain cautious. Let's just see!
