Suddenly the President's Wife
25. What Is Love

Rain spots that initially one by one fell soaking the earth is now increasingly dense discharge. The sky was getting darker when Arunika had just received an online ojek cancellation notification ordered. Heavy rain accompanied by strong winds out there makes it difficult to get public transportation to go home. Especially now it is quite late, coupled with unfriendly weather. Puddles of water also began to appear everywhere, potentially even making floods come across the capital.

“You didn't see the weather forecast? There will be rain and storm. BMKG just loaded that information.”

Arunika who was using her heels turned the eyeball lazily. Even if it rains a storm, he will go home. There the sister must be waiting. He would prefer to hit the storm, rather than having to last longer in the Altar apartment.

“I'm going home. Soon Water pick up.”

“Air?” confused about the man who was leaning against the wall near the exit. “You mean Airlangga, new staff Data Analyst?”

“Hm. That you know,” replied Arunika Acuh. “He must have been standby in lobby.”

“What do you have to do with him? I heard he just came back from abroad.”

“My relationship with Air is not the business of Mr.”

“Why? You're afraid I leaked it to Bian, your boyfriend?”

“Why bring Bian, anyway?” ketus Arunika's. “People she's my sister,” she continued inwardly.

“Why? Isn't she your girlfriend? What happens if he finds out you're coming home with another guy? Is he going to be angry? Most likely he will be jealous.”

Oh my god, the rhetorical sentence is the longest sentence that the Altar says as Arunika remembers. Somehow also the man became a habit of talking at length when it comes to something that is not important.

“Fixed here.”

“Bapak means to hold me here?” Arunika squinted her eyes. “Sorry, dory, strawberry. I don't want to stay here. Mending me home, because there is my honey, bunny Bian in the home.”

“I talked to your girlfriend.”

“What?!” Arunika was surprised to hear it. “Means?”

“When you were in the bathroom, he called.” The altar is relaxed.

“Keep the host?”

The altar nodded in response.

Arunika squinted her eyes. “That's his name violates my privacy, Sir.”

The altar stared at the secretary with its brows furrowed. “What is privacy infringing? You were too long in the bathroom, ringtone your mobile phone interrupted my eardrum.”

Arunika smiled snobbishly. He forgot if the ringtone used is quite disturbing hearing, not to mention equipped with a flash that will light up every time there is an SMS or phone notification coming in.

“Ya, sorry. But you still can not carelessly pick up the call on my phone.”

“Hm.”

“Hm, hm, dong. Horror when people talk again!” ketus Arunika clucking. Stupid time with ethics. It's already outside of work hours.

“Do not cluck to—“

“It's out of business hours, yes already.” Arunika interrupts while pointing at the watch that circles her wrist. “I go home first then, sir. My girlfriend was on the phone, ‘kan?” uh, does he know my sister Bian or not, anyway? arunika continued, asking inwardly.

“Your girlfriend lets you stay here tonight.”

“Hah?” Arunika suddenly tulalit. The next second, he laughed. “Where might Bian let me stay here? Just so you know, he can not sleep if I have not pok-pok.”

“But he allows.”

Arunika stopped her laughter. “The father of his jokes is very crisp.”

“That's how it is.” Altar from the leaning position. “As a man he is wise enough to allow his lover to stay in another man's apartment.” The man then passed away leaving Arunika.

“Bapak sure was the phone from Bian?” asked Arunika, hurriedly chasing after the Altar.

“Hm. She seems younger than my shadow.”

Arunika swallowed her hard-earned saliva. “Don't he already know?” his inner.

The altar turned around when they were already in the central room. The man looked at Arunika after goal, before uttering a sentence that made Arunika growl.

“I just found out that your taste turns out to be in droves.”

Arunika contact widened. In droves said? But, yes, too. In any case, if he was on behalf of Bian as a lover, would definitely be labeled with leanings. But, it's funny to see his boss say so.

“So Father, deh. I'm tired, want to rest.”

Arunika walked towards the sofa in the room, then dropped herself on the padded pad. It looks like he has to stay, because the weather is not improving either. Airlangga where to bother to pick him up. The man is most at war ******* under the blanket. Moreover, the weather is very supportive.

“Do not sleep.”

Arunika is indeed ***** alias nempel molor. Not to mention today's schedule was enough to make him tired. So, do not be surprised when he immediately fell asleep when finding a comfortable place to fall.

“You will sleep in such clothes?”

“Hm.” Arunika muttered softly. “Bothers very much, sir. Anyway, I have a change of clothes. Sleeping in office clothes is also not pa-pa.”

The altar looked at his secretary in disbelief. The woman is now lying with her eyes closed on the sofa. A few minutes ago, he wanted to go home. Now, look how easy it is to close your eyes. For a moment, the Altar sighed deeply. The next second the man made a gesture that made Arunika screech restrained while thrashing.

“Down me, Sir!”

Arunika. It is also true what the Altar said, if he continued to thrash, there he would fall ill-fated. Arunika shook her head. He did not want the embarrassing event to happen, so he chose to die. Letting the Altar take her to the master room, then lowering Arunika by the edge of the bed.

Still in silence, Arunika watches every move of the superior. Starting from the man opened the closet to take a few pieces of clothing, then returned to his presence. Arunika frowned looking at him.

“Change your clothes with this.” The altar gave him the clothes he had just picked up. “Wearing this will make you more comfortable. After that you can sleep.”

Arunika stuck for a moment. “But, Sir. I also need a bath soap, make up remover, facial wash, skincare, the same…. Underwear,” great-grandson Arunika.

The altar stared at Arunika without a sound. The next second the man turned around just like that after storing clothes for Arunika on the bed.

“Only that I can give. So, don't expect more.”

“WHAT?!” Arunika almost squealed, if only her self-control was not good. After the loss of the Altar behind the door, Arunika immediately misuh-misuh. “Basic descent Dajjal. Do good half-and-half. Really surprised to know?!”

Arunika remained misuh-misuh alone until stepping foot into the bathroom. At least before going to bed he washes his face, and can change his formal clothes. Thanks to his Dajjal descendant boss who has kindly lent him super soft t-shirts and cargo pants that are more comfortable than the pencil skirts he uses.

After finishing his business in the bathroom, instead of sleeping to rest the body and mind, Arunika is now even trapped in an advanced situation. How not akward, now his position is lying on a dispute with a person he never imagined before. Instead of immediately closing his eyes, Arunika was hit by various quality questions.

“Pak?” Arunika opened a voice, tearing the silence between them.

“Hm.”

“Mr hasn't slept? Uncomfortable with me, huh? Then I sleep on the front sofa only.” Arunika said without pause while looking to the side. Waiting for the response of a beautiful man who tonight many times looks more handsome.

Though he only wears a plain white shirt top with a subordinate pair of checkered pajamas. However, somehow the Altar looks many times more handsome. The aura of a handsome person is indeed a danger.

“I'm just thinking, Arunika. Not disturbed because of your existence.”

“Bapak is really thinking what? Thinking about the problems of the whole Indonesian people? It looks like a heavy one.” Arunika no longer looked to the side. His eyes are now fixed on the ceiling of the room.

“I'm thinking about your opinion.”

“Why do I have the same opinion, Sir?” confused Arunika.

“What do you think of Arumi?” ask the Altar, unexpected.

“Why suddenly discuss Arumi?”

“Because I want.”

Arunika frowned. “Arumi is beautiful, well, care, feminine, daughter-in-law-able, smart, has an open view, her tattoos are also good. Overall, he's the definition of almost near perfect and dream ghost. Very suitable for you who are perfectionists in everything.”

“According to you we are suitable?”

Arunika nodded in silence. “Hm. If you get married, you and Arumi will definitely be lined up as couple goals that envy the residents of this country.”

“Do you think so?” there was a doubtful tone from the voice of the Altar.

“Iya. This is, right, my view. Own opinion. But, the same Mr. Arumi does look very suitable and complementary.” Arunika reviewed a small smile without the Altar knowing.

Complement each other? Arunika wanted to laugh at her own words.

He remembers his conversation with Arumi in the hospital. The woman clearly said she had resigned from her position as the future wife of Altar Jhonyan Dee Diantoro. He no longer needed an altar. Maybe he already knows the true health condition of the Altar?

Most likely yes. Arumi already knew the condition of the Altar that would be difficult to have offspring, so he chose to retreat. If so, it is shallow thinking. For Arunika should not Arumi do that. He should have given his shoulders willingly when the man he loved was struck by a bitter reality. It's not just choosing to break up a relationship. Especially now that he dared to share togetherness with other men.

“We can't complement each other.”

Arunika was stunned from her daydream when she heard the Altar. “Why?”

“You believe in love?”

Arunika nodded without a sound.

“What is love, Arunika?”

“Love is a special feeling that God gives to man. Love is fitrah. Love can also cause a variety of chemical reactions. Usually, people who love each other will tend to understand each other, trust, also have. If there is a shortage between one of them, instead of being a barrier, it will even be a reinforcement. They can strengthen each other, as well as fill each other up. Not stay away when one of them has a deficiency,” replied Arunika.

“What about him who says love, but leaves just like that when he knows his partner can't meet the criteria?”

Arunika turned her head, looking at the Altar from the side. “It’s not love. It's called selfish. No love has a perfection. If he leaves after knowing the lack of his partner, it means he is selfish.”  Arunika paused her sentence for a moment, as the Altar turned to look at her.

That soot-black Obsidian seemed to hold a million uninterrupted puzzles.

“Love is not about perfection, because there is no perfect human being in the world. If she is looking for the perfect one, just marry a fictional character who is always portrayed as perfect. Because humans who approach the criteria of perfection though surely God is equipped with shortcomings.”
