"Did Jacob's Mommy never call you?" ask Alex who is currently sitting in the front passenger seat next to the driver.
Alex is Jethro's best friend and assistant.
"No. Why did he call me!" jethro answered while looking out at the street.
From the tone of his voice, obviously Jethro really does not like Alex to discuss about his ex-wife.
"Yes, any idea he wanted to ask Jacob." Alex replied.
"Why did he ask Jacob! I'll never tell him Jacob's news!" answer Jethro.
"Don't be Jethro, no matter how Becca is Jacob's biological mother." Alex advises.
"Does a mother like her deserve to be considered a mother? She had already left her young child for the sake of another man! If he only hurts me, I don't have a problem! The problem is that he also hurt my son! I'll never forget the night he left Jacob in the heat! He could have left Jacob alone in the apartment! Totally inhumane!" answer Jethro. His jaw hardened as he recalled the day Rebecca left him and Jacob.
At that time Jacob was hot high while Jethro, he was on his way home after a business trip out of town. When Jethro reached the apartment, Jethro found no one but Jacob delirious in the room. Jacob's nanny was out because Rebecca told him to buy an instant compress at the pharmacy. After sending Jacob's nanny away, Rebecca comes out of the apartment and leaves Jacob alone. After that Rebecca did not go home again and after being investigated it turned out that night Rebecca left with her affair.
Alex could only sigh harshly. Although not married and have children, but Alex can feel the frustration that Jethro feels, but the problem is now four years passed, the problem is now, jethro should have forgotten about the problem because Rebecca was Jacob's mother after all.
Twenty minutes later.
After twenty minutes on the way, the car carrying Jethro and Alex arrived at the hotel building where the reception took place.
Jethro and Alex get out of the car and walk into the hotel building.
While walking towards the elevator that will take him to the reception room, Jethro's eyes accidentally saw a middle-aged woman pulling a girl towards another elevator. It seemed that the girl did not want to obey the will of the middle-aged woman.
"What's wrong?" alex asked who was wondering why Jethro suddenly stopped.
"No pa-pa. Come." replied Jethro then continued his footsteps towards the elevator.
Arriving at the elevator, somehow Jethro's brain keeps thinking about the girl.
Ting. The elevator door was open.
Alex got out of the elevator first.
"You meet Mr. Anderson first, I have a little business" said Jethro and then closed the elevator door.
"Huh? Wait, I'm coming with you!" alex replied, but too late, the elevator door closed.
Alex could only sigh harshly.
"Basic! Just tell me you're nauseous about attending a wedding, you pretentious say there's business! What business! All your business is on my agenda!" grouch Alex.
In addition to being a cold widower, Jethro now has a phobia of attending weddings. Usually every time there is a wedding invitation from McLeon Group business colleagues, if not only Alex who came, surely Mr. McLeon himself who came, Jethro never wanted to attend the wedding. But because Mr. McLeon's health is being disrupted, and can not only be represented by Alex, then inevitably Jethro came to attend the wedding reception of one of McLeon Group's most loyal business colleagues.
