Summer Is For Falling In Love

Summer Is For Falling In Love
5. The Midnight Conversation

"Eh, Miss Esther?"

How Holland felt the heart behind his chest stopped beating when he looked at the beautiful figure Esther. With a simple white nightgown, then coated by a half-transparent scarf that if not managed to close all parts of her body that are open, then, then the blood-red hair that became a plain white canvas was so alluring.

Esther, who was resting her hands on the balcony wall, threw a smile as sweet as cotton candy at Holland. He slipped blood-red hair behind his ears that disturbed both of his manics.

"Mr Holland," whispered Esther, responded by silence.

Holland biting lips. Not expecting to meet Esther in the middle of the night, when all the existences Holland knows have fallen asleep into the sweet dream world.

"What are you doing, Mr Holland, in the middle of the night?" ask Esther.

"I should have asked that, Miss Esther. Why are you outside in the middle of the night?"

"I can't sleep" Esther replied, looking back at the dark panorama of the night that not even a lantern could match. The faint roar of the waves in the retina collides with each other, and becomes the only melody in the freezing night wind.

"I'm the same."

"Is something bothering you, Mr Holland?"

Holland shook his head, he came forward and stood beside Esther, enjoying the panorama of the night.

"Nothing, Miss Esther. It's just that I sometimes have trouble sleeping so I always decide to take a walk until I'm tired. Maybe fatigue could help me fall asleep."

"Oh? I thought Mr. Holland had too much responsibility on his shoulders to not be able to empty his mind so he had trouble sleeping."

Holland turned his head, and at the same time, Holland's red bead and Esther's gold bead smashed into each other, locking each other, unwilling to let go for even a second, as if greedy to explore all the mysteries behind the untouched eyeballs.

Meanwhile, Holland felt that Esther's sentence was so on target. Does the author know everything just by looking at it once? How could Esther know if Holland couldn't empty her mind to sleep? Every time Holland touched his padded mattress and tried not to think about things, his mind kept raging. In his mind never silent, often times crossed things that make Holland feel disturbed.

Foreign conversations, strange noises, and painful past inserts often carelessly take over his mind. It was disturbing, as to how Holland forced his eyes to hide the blood bead there, but his mind did not allow Holland to do the same.

"What about Miss Esther herself?" Holland decided to switch the conversation. "What brings Miss Esther out of your room and into a cold balcony?"

"Nothing." Esther half shook her head, but stopped. "There really is."

"If Miss Esther doesn't mind, Miss can talk about what's bothering you to me" Holland said in a soft voice to give the impression that she won't judge every word Esther said.

"I don't mind, I need someone to hear my story" Esther whispered. The night wind returned to play the red strands of Esther, occasionally Holland felt the long strands touch the back of her hand and Holland felt tickled.

"In that case, no need to hesitate, Miss Esther."

Pause before Esther opens her lips. "You know what, Mr Holland? I hate summer."

He looked over every look and highlight Esther with a gentle look.

"I was fourteen years old in the summer. My family, Baron Dercastez, is in bankruptcy in business because many of Dad's associates are cheating on him. We try to cover up shortcomings and losses by reinventing new innovations. However, as if God had predestined us to fall, we fell down, as to how firmly we held on to a rope, we fell. One by one my trusted associates left our business and the Dercastez family nearly collapsed. Even our Baron's title was almost stripped away."

Holland stared at Esther's golden bead. Inside, there was a firmness that Holland could not describe. It was so broken, but tough. Like glass, but like jewels.

Holland doesn't know why Esther revealed everything without crying. Holland would have known that Esther had been through so hard, but Holland had no idea why Esther would not let Holland know Esther's broken side.

"I have four sisters and they are still very small. We do whatever it takes to cover our deteriorating economic conditions, even we owe our merchants high interest rates. There, I was almost desperate. There, I almost gave up. You know what it was like back then? I felt that my destiny was very bad and I blamed God. I tried many times to help my family's economy, but I was a teenager and I was a girl. A girl is always underestimated.

"The most excruciating summer. Where my family fell off a steep cliff, forced to survive in hell, and starved because we had no money in the summer the price of raw materials rose. Ever since then, I've hated summer."

Holland was overwhelmed with mixed feelings. Esther seems determined, but Holland wants to hold Esther in his arms to let her know that she doesn't have to endure her suffering alone anymore. There's Holland by his side.

"Because of my disgust, I wrote down the names of the people who were cheating on my family on a piece of paper" Esther said. "Then I burned the paper to ashes. However, no matter how many times I burn the paper, I cannot cover the grudges in my chest. Therefore, I killed them in my novel, becoming the most trashy villain ever. The thing I didn't know was that my novel was published by a publishing company and I became a famous writer at the age of twenty."

Holland widens the eyes. As a fan of Asteria, she certainly knew how tragic the deaths of the villains in her novels were.

"Knowing the background of the scum villains who defy the protagonist's love story in your novel is my greatest honor" Holland whispered.

"Eh?" Esther looked at Holland with a surprised look.

"Yes?" Holland looked confused.

Esther then launched a small ruckus and covered her lips with a finger. "It turns out you read my novel, didn't you, Mr Holland?"

Holland jerks. "W-What do you mean, Miss Esther?!"

"How do you know that in my novel there are crazy criminals who dare to oppose the love story of the two main characters? If you know, it means you read my novel. Already, admit it, Mr. Holland. You read my novel, right?" esther Goda.

Holland looked away with a blushing face. Dealing with writers seems to be quite dangerous. Just a few words that slid from her lips unintentionally, could make the woman know the truth.

"Mr Holland? Admit it, I won't be mad."

Holland exhaled, without looking at Esther, Holland nodded. "If I may be honest, Miss Esther. I'm your fan. You wrote your novel so well that I fell in love with your writing so many times."

Holland was nervous about not getting a reaction from Esther. Curious, Holland turned his head.

Holland's face burned when he saw how sweet Esther was in her wide smile. Holland didn't know what to do with the hunting pulse behind his chest, but Esther was so sweet. The smile on those friendly blushing lips was as radiant as the luna in the sky, glittering, alluring, and conquering every taste in the chest. Fulfilling every inch of him with a burning feeling.

Holland has no idea why he has the desire to hold Esther in a loving embrace, whisper priceless words of love, or kiss her lips once in a while. For some reason, Holland did not refuse his heart.

Holland knew that he was crazy, but as if someone was controlling his body, Holland took Esther into the arms and monopolized the lips. Esther kissed with her eyes closed, poured out every sense of locked in the chest, and held the beloved figure in a friendly embrace.

Esther was quite surprised by Holland's treatment. However, he hesitated to accept the kiss. Esther recalled their first meeting on the beach five days ago, then spent a lot of time together. All summer vacation memories are filled with Holland pulling his attention. Esther even tried time and time again to put a damper on what was inside her chest, trying to suppress her greed to know every side of Holland, trying to bring Holland into her territory, or immortalize his name in his novel into a character who deserves to be loved and loved.

Esther admires Holland, who has a great sense of responsibility, but Esther doesn't know if a kiss can end her admiration.

For twenty years of his life, Holland stole his first kiss. Not only kisses on the lips, also a smudging feeling in the chest cavity.

Esther should not hesitate when her feelings say that in front of her is her destiny, that her intuition will not be wrong with making Holland as her life partner. Holland is so alluring on the side that no one sees. Esther can be lured many times, but tries to deny.

In the end, Esther returned the kiss. Decided to concentrate all the squeezes on the chest in one decisive kiss. Decided that his intuition would be right and Esther had no more hesitation in burning feelings.

Under the glittering rays of luna, two souls became one.

Kala Holland draws herself in a loving kiss with a red face drunk with romance and a light-headed look, which Esther embraces affectionately.

"Miss Esther is so amazing to get through everything that's incriminating to you. Miss doesn't have to fret when I face her, I'm by your side, accompanying you" Holland whispered. "I like you, Miss Esther. Ilove you. It felt, the feeling I held in my chest was so agonizing and I was no longer able to endure it. Allow me to express my feelings and allow me to hear your feelings as well."

Esther with a quivering golden bead was unable to utter words as long as Holland poured out her dialogue. Even Esther, an experienced writer for five years, who often wrote words of love confession in her sweet novel rivaling honey, was unable to wart.

However, one that Esther knows. Piling a squeeze on his chest on the man who confesses his love will become a new opium. It was the right choice for Esther, replying to every stirring feeling in the chest.
