Episode 4 of Side Story: Hannah

Right now I, father and second uncle are going hunting in the forest near the village.

This forest is on the slopes of the Vrial mountain, which is only a few wild beasts that are not too dangerous but if you are unlucky it might encounter dangerous monsters.

Since the village we live in is near the forest, hunting is a job usually done by villagers other than trading.

In addition to purposes such as food, cloth, and commercial, hunting is also a way for residents to maintain a population of wild animals in the forest.

Because about 30 years ago suddenly there was a disaster in the form of a collection of wild animals led by monsters.

Many villagers were killed, until finally everyone agreed to hunt so that the number of wild animals in the forest could be controlled.

But for the monsters that occasionally appeared, the citizens could not do anything.

Monsters are basically really dangerous and are often referred to as a living catastrophe for humans.

Right now the three of us are going to the forest, besides hunting small animals, we are also looking for medicinal plants for mother and cousin who are none other than uncle's son.

Because about a week ago, there was a strange disease that spread in the village.

And this plant alone is known to reduce the effects of the disease.

"Nana look at this, this is a creus trail that is clearly new "father said.

I approached him and saw a rather long footprint with three fingers.

There were claws along two sharp centimeters. And from the size of the footprints, this creus is clearly an adult.

The creus is a flightless bird with a large body, blue body feathers, red wings and tail and a long neck.

Adult creus can grow to a height of more than one meter and weigh 60 kilograms.

One adult creus can be used as a meat supply for 3 days for small families with 3-4 people.

These animals are harmless but difficult to catch without traps or weapons.

But after following his footprints for quite a while, there was still no sign of the animal.

After walking carefully for quite a while, we finally heard the stifling sound and smell of fresh blood.

"Stop! like there's something weird! Be careful! " Uncle said.

Go forward slowly and the smell of blood is getting stinging, but this is not much because I often help my father clean and cut the hunting results to get used to the smell of blood.

And a while later the uncle suddenly raised his hand and gestured to stop.

And finally the frightening sight was clearly displayed in front of us.

There were more than a dozen creus corpses that died tragically, but that was not what was frightening.

But it was the creature that killed them that made us not even dare to take a breath.

A giant bear with reddish-brown fur, had two pairs of hands and on its chest was a bright red cross pattern.

Sometimes also the cross pattern was flashing with a dim light.

About six meters high, the body was fat and very intimidating.

This creature is one of the monsters that are basically difficult to find in this forest.

Known as a terrible disaster bearer, other than being so physically strong, he also had a very hot fire breath.

This fire breath came from a special organ in his body, of course there was a limit when using that fire.

The monster in the legend that supposedly appeared last time 30 years ago.

He was called Guranta the fire-catastrophe.

With our backs full of cold sweat we started to retreat slowly.
