Ch.56 - Alchemist Exam, Purifying Spirit Rejuvenation Pill
Inside the spacious purification room, Xie Feng Xue looked busy preparing box after box of spiritual herbs and checking their quality. In accordance with Qing Shandian's wishes, he prepared several types of High-tier Grade 9 Spiritual Potions to refine a High-tier grade 9 pill, as a High-tier Heaven Grade alchemist examination.
While on Qing Shandian's side, he was currently concentrating on studying the 'Rejuvenation Spirit Pill' recipe written on a jade scroll. He focused his mind completely on the jade scroll before him, followed by his flowing spiritual power enveloping the scroll. A moment later, he closed his eyes and digested the refining steps in the recipe. However, after only two minutes, he opened his eyes, before then furrowing his brows while holding his chin. A moment later, he lifted his head, then looked at Xie Feng Xue and said, "Chairman Feng Xue, has this pill recipe been really tested? Why do I feel like there's a missing ingredient in this recipe?"
Xie Feng Xue who heard Qing Shandian say, reflexively dropped the box in her hand onto the floor. She startledly looked at Qing Shandian as she said, "Ahh... How the hell did you know? Haven't you done the purification yet?"
Hearing that answer, Qing Shandian further furrowed his brows, then said in a solemn voice. "So, it turns out that's true? Is there a missing ingredient in this recipe? It's only fitting that I meet a deadlock in my analysis. Turns out that's the cause. No wonder.."

Xie Feng Xue immediately stopped throwing those boxes when she saw Qing Shandian who was refocused in his meditation. He looked at Qing Shandian with a complex gaze. But a smile that was expanding adorned his face. All the time, he was always busy with his affairs in pill refining, as well as the affairs within the circle of the Alchemist Association. He never got a chance to rest his mind to just entertain himself. He fixedly looked at Qing Shandian's calm face, then stepped forward towards him, before then sitting cross-legged in front of him. He was happy with Qing Shandian's ungainly presence when talking to him. Besides, she somehow also felt like a different person when she was with Qing Shandian. He tilted his head, and found Xie Feng Xue who was sound asleep with calm breaths leaning on her shoulder. Qing Shandian knew, it was definitely not easy to become a Chairman of the Alchemist Association. From Xie Fenv Xue's calm breath, he realized that it was most likely that Xie Feng Xue was lacking some rest time, and was busy with the affairs within the Alchemist Association's circle.
Qing Shandian slowly reached out his hand grabbed Xie Feng Xue's shoulder, then carefully stood up while lifting his body, and carried Xie Feng Xue to another room close to the refining room. He laid Xie Feng Xue on the bed and covered her with a blanket, then immediately turned back to the purification room.

Putting the boxes on the table, he opened them. After which, he looked towards the pill furnace for a moment, before inhaling a deep breath. He then took out his fire and began to heat up the pill furnace. After feeling enough, Qing Shandian threw the 1,000-year-old Dragon Tongue into the pill furnace and began to extract the sari at a moderate temperature until a greenish clear liquid was formed, then set it aside. He divided his spiritual power to keep the extraction yield from evaporating, and controlled the flame to adjust its heat temperature. After getting the first material extraction results, he inserted 'Orangous Spirit Fruits' and began extraction with a low flame temperature until a turbid orange liquid was formed, and continue to roast until leaving a bright orange liquid. Next he inserted the 'Blue Leaf Three Petals' and extracted it with high temperature. He continued to roast until a transparent blue liquid was left.
After obtaining the first three liquids, Qing Shandian did not immediately enter the next ingredient. However, he carried out the process of merging the three liquids, followed by his spiritual power erupting into double than during the extraction process and the rising flame temperature was stronger. After five minutes passed, a three-color lump of viscous liquid formed perfectly displaying a transparent luster of orange - green - blue. When the merger was successful, Qing Shandian immediately suppressed his spiritual power again.
Finished with the first three liquid combining steps, Qing Shandian immediately extracted the 'Blood Flower of 1,000 years' at low temperature, until a dark, deep red liquid was formed, then set it aside. Then, he inserted a 10,000-year-old Blood Ginseng and extracted it with high temperatures. After 30 minutes of roasting, Qing Shandian obtained a transparent red liquid and set it aside again. Next, 'White Ring Ganoderma' is extracted at moderate temperature. And the process lasted for 10 minutes before he finally got the concentrated white liquid.
Stopping on the extraction process, Qing Shandian once again carried out the process of merging the three second liquids. His spiritual power erupted up again, and it pressured the three liquids to fuse, accompanied by an increase in the temperature of the flame that was stronger than the first liquid merger. When he tilted his head, he found Xie Feng Xue who was looking at him with a gentle gaze and a sweet smile that bloomed on his lips. Qing Shandian returned the smile and said lightly, "Thank you." Before his gaze returned to focus towards the pill furnace.
After which, he entered the 'Wood Monster Core' and roasted it at a high temperature to obtain the 'Spirituality Gatherer Powder'. This powder is actually ready to use. However, its effectiveness was very far when compared to the 'Spirituality Gatherer Powder' that was extracted directly from the 'Wood Monster Core'. Any pill that contained spirituality, it would have much higher effectiveness than a pill that was without spirituality. However, if the spirituality content was too high and if an alchemist was not prepared for it, when the pill was formed, it could be certain that it would escape.
Three more hours passed, and inside the pill furnace began to look 'Spirituality Gatherer Powder' like flickering points of light. Seeing that the process had obtained results, Qing Shandian immediately went through the merging process again. The first and second wisps of liquid pressed down strongly with his spiritual power, then he immediately added the 'Spirituality Gatherer Powder', and raised the temperature of the flame to a higher level of the second merging process. Another half hour passed. The two lumps of liquid had fused completely, and it had turned into a large multicolored transparent solid liquid blob. As soon as the breaking step succeeded, the wisp spun rapidly absorbing the spirituality from outside the pill furnace for a while before finally quieting down. Qing Shandian who saw that immediately added to his spiritual power to suppress the liquid blob, accompanied by the temperature of the flame that had risen again, and he said, saying,

Spiritual strength bubbled violently within the pill furnace until it finally shrank, followed by a disappearing flame. Never mind, sorry for worrying you. Don't you want to check out the 'Rejuvenation Spirit Pill'?" She slapped her cheek while rubbing Xie Feng Xue's softly accompanied by a fluffy smile.
Xie Feng Xue immediately straightened her head, then noticed Qing Shandian's flushed ears with her bite marks still left behind. He looked at Qing Shandian fixedly, then said in a slightly trembling voice with teary eyes, "Are you going to leave after obtaining the alchemist badge? If yes, where are you going?"
Qing Shandian also returned Xie Feng Xue's gaze. He could tell the feeling of loneliness behind his black pupils. Sighing lightly, while lightly rubbing Xie Feng Xue's cheeks, she retorted. "Haihi.. Yep. Ohh, by the way, I'm curious about the last ingredient you added earlier. What'sthat?" Xie Feng Xue snickered melodiously like the clanking of leg bells, before asking curiously.
"The last material I added earlier was 'Golden Cloud Beehoney'. Do you know?" Said Qing Shandian in a light tone.
Xie Feng Xue widened her eyes, and in a surprised tone she said, "What did you say? 'Golden Cloud Bee Honey'? Where'd you get it? Even I, after many years of ordering many people to look for it everywhere but not get any results."
Qing Shandian smiled faintly and retorted as his finger pointed towards the 10 grains of 'Rejuvenation Spirit Pill'. "Put the pills into the jade bottle first. Do not forget to give a sign so as not to be mistaken when you want to try it. We have plenty of time to talk, right?"
"Gee,.. Right, I almost forgot about it." Xie Feng Xue said before then hurriedly stuffing the 'Rejuvenation Spirit Pill' into the transparent white jade bottle and giving it a mark.
