That Other Woman, My Mother

That Other Woman, My Mother
28

Throughout the morning, Nayra kept thinking about Alena's words. Supposedly, if it was just a matter of sudden absences, there was no need to get fired in a disrespectful manner, right? Nayra has always been most diligent in attending this hospital from all employees, because she often takes overtime or replaces other doctors who are not present. Many are also late or absent from duty for no apparent reason—Alena is one of them, but not until fired.

Alena's speech is also definitely not a bluff, because she is the mistress of the hospital director. Of course he knew at the earliest anything that rolled on the high cabinet tables of the hospital. After the incident with the director of the meeting last night, could Nayra be considered no hope to be made into the next fresh food?

"Have I acted properly samalam?" nayra muttered as she walked into the operating room that morning.

The nurse who was following him while continuing to check the medical records for Nayra to study, looked up. Looked at Nayra questioningly. He didn't notice because Nayra was quieter this morning, while he was doing a lot of work.

"Yes, Doc .. do you need anything?" the nurse looked up demanding clarity.

Nayra stopped her steps, then looked at the confused nurse facing Nayra. "Sus .. are there issues that have developed lately?"

The nurse thought for a moment, then shook her head. "Nothing, Doc .. There's only news that there's gonna be a new specialist."

Nayra Manggut–mangut while throwing a look in the other direction, but a second later she looked at the nurse again. The nurse looked surprised because she did not expect Nayra to look back at her. "Good then, I can't possibly be overtime after marriage. Right, right, Sus?"

The nurse nodded quickly. "You're right, Doc .. husband and family should take precedence."

Nayra immediately patted the nurse on the shoulder with a smile and then continued to move towards the operating room. Not forgetting Nayra raised her chin and put on a cold and stern expression. He was determined, if he got to the front from here, he would make the decision maker regretted having done that to him.

Arriving in the operating room, Nayra greeted everyone politely without a friendly and cheerful smile as usual. The entire occupants of the room only glanced at them before poring over their work again, so Nayra did not have to bother being kind. He knows where the trees start to lean. And he's just alone.

Nayra sterilizes herself, then prepares to perform the anaesthetic procedure. Once again, the uncomfortable atmosphere was felt by Nayra, but she could endure it. I don't know, she felt stronger after she left Aldo.

Finished doing her job, Nayra pulled over, watching everything until the operation was over. The surgeon who handled the surgical removal of the malignant intestinal tumor just stared at Nayra at a glance, without saying anything. It looks like he is very disappointed, but cannot do anything to defend Nayra.

After making sure everything was okay– was fine, Nayra immediately left the place and walked into her study. Breakfast had passed for hours and hours, and Nayra had no appetite at all.

However, a dining box perched pretty on her desk close to a large box with red ribbons. Nayra approached him with a rapid heartbeat. On top of the lunchbox was a writing that seemed to be made as neat as possible.

'Your stepmom cleaned the pool when this breakfast was made. Most pepper and oil are too little, hopefully not sneezing or choking while eating it. But I'm ready to give you help if you have a stomachache or there's a complaint about the breakfast I made. Come to my room! I hope you know where my room is'

Nayra smiled, then put the paper down to open the supply box that Leo prepared. There is an omelet that has been cut–cut, a rice ball wrapped in crushed nori, a vegetable salad, roasted sausage, and a few pieces of fruit.

"I feel shunned." Nayra picked up the chopsticks and tasted a piece of omelet and was shocked, not believing if this was Leo's cooking. It's really delicious. It feels good and lacks oil. Or it may be deliberately cooked without oil.

Nayra had not taken the next bribe, someone knocked on the door, forcing Nayra to stop eating to allow the knocker to enter.

Nayra nodded, her face growing cold. The nurse retreated in a hurry–, regardless of how Nayra looked at her.

Nayra knew, so she was acting normal, though pounding as well. He just could not accept, his devotion all this time was not a consideration. Moreover, he was kicked out just for not wanting to serve the need for the female fluid of the bawdy director. So disgusting.

Before leaving, Nayra put the phone on the table, accidentally the big box perched there had not been opened, so Nayra opened it quickly.

'Just let me take a look at you, a woman's confidence will increase with something that attracts all eyes. Wear it while passing through the hallway full of women, I enjoy how they are amazed and want to get close to you."

Again––again Leo gave him something valuable. He should have done that a long time ago, at least enjoying his hard work and effort. Not even peppered for greedy people like Aldo.

Nayra opens and wears a luxury watch, a brand-name bag and a pair of glittering earrings. Nayra wore it, then tied her hair high– high so that the earring-shaped shine drop was more striking the eyes of anyone who saw it. And Nayra felt herself bolder, more confident to face all these trials.

"A kiss isn't enough to avenge all this." Nayra picks up the phone and sends Leo a message. Then after being sent, Nayra stepped with her head held high towards the meeting room on the second floor.

Nayra paid no heed to the buzz buzzing all the way to the meeting room. Nayra doesn't care.

Arriving at the meeting room, Nayra knocked, then entered without welcome. He pulled the hand that had been put in the pocket of his doctor's suit. There were already a dozen heads in discussion, including the doctor who had surgery with him. No pleasantries, no appreciation, Nayra absolutely– ignored.

"Good morning ...." Nayra lowered her head at a glance, then returned straight. There was no smile, no hospitality, only Nayra was ready for battle.

"Please sit down, Doctor Nayra!" Bondan invited Nayra to sit opposite his exact position in the middle of the meeting room. Nayra followed the instructions, her gaze unbrokenly looking into Bondan's eyes which seemed to hesitate when she saw Nayra at this moment.

"Just right away, yes, Doc..we've reluctantly decided to fire you from this hospital." Bondan sighed as he drew his gaze down from Nayra. "You've done too much negligence on duty. The hospital's hard-earned good name by our predecessors is at stake with the reckless actions you took."

Nayra smiled faintly, her eyes sweeping across the room, stopping on the faces of some people two seconds longer, before coming back to boil in Bondan's disgusting face.

"I accept this decision, but on condition .. show clearly where my reckless actions have been! Then the omission of what I once did! And show me, the patient complaint that put this hospital name at stake!"
