The After One Night Mistake
A phoney?
"Ah shit! Why Aina could marry such a wonderful man. I really don't like to see her happy like this." Lin continued pacing indistinctly inside the bathroom.
As deep as her hatred for Aina, maybe if she was given one request then she would definitely want Aina to disappear from this world. But alas now Aina is in the protection of an extraordinarily powerful man.
After finishing dinner, Reynald invited Aina, El-barack and his niece to have a casual chat in the living room. It had been so long that the two older sisters had not clutched together.
"Sister Lin isn't finished yet?" asked Aina who kept looking towards the back door. He was sure that Lin must have been upset by his arrival, yet he tried to cover it up from the Big Brother.
"Some time he'll be back." Reynald tried to remain calm, though he knew by now that his wife must be very upset. But he did not care, instead he hoped that Lin would come to his senses and no longer humiliate Aina.
"Mama Mama!" Al came from the corner of the room in a hurry. "Ma, there's a fish ma, let's see ma!"
"Let's just a minute." Aina's hand was forcefully pulled by Al towards a large aquarium in the corner of the room.
El-barack and Reynald are sitting opposite each other in the living room. Their gaze was equally directed towards Aina and Al who were standing in front of the Aquarium.
"Al really likes ornamental fish, it looks like I have to buy a bigger Aquarium" El-barack said as he turned to Reynald.
"Hm, just like Aina. He also likes marine animals" said Reynald who also looked at his sister-in-law. "Oh yeah, I'm glad to see your treatment of Aina in the dining room earlier, I also hope that it's not fake, because I know you guys are married only to Al."
The sister-in-law's question made El feel that the man was still doubtful to her. Though far from all the reasons for the beginning of the marriage, now she wants Aina more than anything.
"What do you mean?" reynald asked with sharp eyes. It was as if he was introgating a sister-in-law whom he had not known more deeply.
El-barack could understand the doubt.
"My four years in Melbourne and even though I never thought of a woman for me to date, I didn't trust any woman. But when I met Aina, I thought I was instantly filled with her. Until this moment, all I thought about was how to make her and Al happy, I would not be willing if they were humbled" El-barack said straightforwardly.
Reynald seemed silent for a moment, El-barack's words seemed to make him remember his failure as an older sister who could not protect Aina.
Even now he can see if El-barack really wants Aina not only because of the child as the successor of the Alexander family. Yes, there was a feeling of relief in itself seeing Aina's current life even though deep in the recesses of the heart there was one question she wanted to know.
"Yes I believe you can protect Aina and Al but, beyond all that, I wonder, do you already love her as your wife?" ask Reynald suddenly.
