The Assassin X Family
The cold coffee

"The number you are going to cannot be reached, tit ...."

I don't know how many times Nathan tried to contact Rose, but with the same results. He fell silent while staring at the screen of his phone, ignoring the cup of coffee that had been cold since.

2 Hours passed after he made an appointment with Rose. Unfortunately, the woman did not come. Nathan was worried, afraid that something bad might happen to him. But on the other hand, he was certainly disappointed.

Before long, he got out of his seat. I hesitated when I left the place. Afraid that Rose might come. But finally Nathan left that place.

Meanwhile, in Rose's apartment.

El, Rose, and Damian walk down the corridor of the apartment. Rose blankly stared at the marriage certificate in her hand. The truth was very hard for him to accept. Her status was now a wife, and it was really hard to believe her.

"Are you sure you don't want to move now? I can get some people to help you pack up" El said.

Suddenly Rose's consciousness appeared. He glanced at the man, then replied, "no. I don't like other people touching my stuff. Also, there are some things I need to work out first with the landlord."

El just nodded his head. Then his steps stopped in front of a door. The door to Rose's apartment.

"Then I'll pick you up in the morning" El said. Now, Rose responded with a nod of her head.

He looked at Damian, then crouched down in front of him. Two eyes meet. Then El put his hand on Damian's head and stroked him slowly.

"Damian, I'll pick you up tomorrow. We're gonna live together, are you happy?" ask El.

Damian was touched by the warmth. For the first time. Damian was so happy that he didn't have to worry about anything anymore.

He smiled with both eyes closed, then obediently nodded his head.

"Good boy." El turned and turned his eyes to Rose. "Then I go first" he said. They also separated.

On his way home, El contacts Assistant Yona. There was a lot of information that his assistant told him about the attack that hit El and his family.

Unfortunately, who the person behind the attack failed to know because the arrested person chose to b*nuh themselves rather than disclose information.

"I don't want to know. In less than 24 hours, I want you to find the mastermind of the attack" El said.

"Okay, Mr El!"

He who focuses on footsteps is not aware of the figure of a man walking opposite to him. That figure just passed through it. Strangely enough, El felt like he was no stranger to the man.

He looked to make sure. Seeing the man's posture, hairstyle, and a fairly familiar way of walking. Unfortunately, he can't remember anything.

"T-mister El. Is there anything I should do again?" assistant Yona asked in a call, instantly resuscitating El.

"Oh, there's no. I'll be at the office soon." El continued his steps.

Simultaneously, without turning his head in the slightest the man who was passing by El just rolled his eyeballs. He recognized the figure he had just met. Then narrowed his eyes very pointedly.

Before long, his steps came to a halt in front of one of the doors. He looked at her for quite a while until he finally ventured to knock.

One to two times he knocked, not even getting an answer. But before the third time, the door finally opened.

Rose stood behind the door with her head slightly turned up to see who was ahead there. When he realized that it was Nathan, he immediately opened it wide.

"Sister Nathan? You're here?" ask Rose.

Nathan was silent with disappointment. Rose not only reneged on her promise, but also forgot her.

"Rose, shouldn't we be at the cafe right now?" He doesn't want to talk anymore.

Her statement made Rose surprised and remembered about it. Rose felt guilty.

"Sister Nathan, sorry. Really, I don't want to break a promise. Merely, something happened a while after I ended the call," defended Rose.

Nathan took a long breath. With a worried look, he touched Rose's shoulders.

"What's going on? Why don't you tell me, Rose?" tanyakanya.

"Some small problem. Brother Nathan need not worry," Rose replied.

Nathan let out a rough sigh. The two of them then kept quiet, making the atmosphere very awkward.

There, Rose realized something. Nathan looks very tired with the eye bags hita and his gaze was soft.

"No, no. It's just that some problems happened and I have to solve them immediately." He reasoned.

Now replace Rose who breathed a long sigh. Then he said, "come in and rest for a moment. Brother can finish it one by one. 'Don't be in a hurry or you'll fail.' That's what you taught me, right?"

Rose turned her body while opening the door wide. Nathan was not worried either. He stepped his foot in, then the door closed tightly.

At the end of the corridor, stood a man sticking his body against the wall. An adult man in all-black clothes observed Rose's bedroom door with a lighted r*kok in his hand.

After observing well and the information he got, he soon left the place.

Days change.

As promised, that morning El and some of his men came to pick up Rose and Damian. That morning they went to the mansion to live together.

Upon arrival, the stunning scenery made both pairs of them reluctant to blink. Because, the mansion owned by El is very luxurious like a palace in fairy tales.

Some furniture coated in gold, towering pillars, and much more. There too, El was highly respected. He simply clapped his hands, a few servants rushed over and saluted him.

"Take them to the room" El told his servants.

"Good, Sir." They approached Rose and Damian, then helped carry the items.

"Wait!" Rose stopped them. "Mr El, there's something I want to talk to you about first" he continued with a serious look.

El understand. With a glance in his eyes he made everyone leave and left him and Rose alone, in the room. Now, the remains of both of them.

"What do you want to talk about?" said El. He walked up to a sofa and sat down with his legs on and his back.

Rose still maintained her serious face. He turned his body to face El.

"It's about the marriage covenant. I'm sure, you didn't forget it," Rose said.

Hearing that, El laughed.

"The money will be sent to your account later this afternoon. You don't have to worry about that--"

"Not that!" Rose sniping. Hence, El started looking at him seriously.

"First, I don't need anyone's money. Second, there are only three requests I want to make" he continued.

"Say!" el said with a serious face.

Rose paused for a moment, then continued. "First request, I want this marriage to be hidden from many people including the office people. Only the closest people or family can know."

"Second, I will not interfere in your personal affairs. And I hope you do too. We live each one."

El nodded his head.

"And the last one. I ... have no obligation to serve you as a true wife."

Silenced. The atmosphere was instantly silent and cold, like being inside a forest with shady trees covering the sky.

"No problem." El's voice broke the silence.

After that he got up from his seat and started walking in front of Rose. "I'll take you to your room" he said. Rose followed him.

He felt a little hesitant, but wished the man had not reneged on his promise of three requests.

Then, they arrived in a magnificent room. El opens the door and invites Rose to enter.

"This is your room from now on. Damian's room is next door, and my room isn't far from here" El said.

"Emm," replied Rose.

Rose entered the room while looking at the beauty of the room. Instantly she felt herself like a queen in a magnificent palace. Until the sound of the door closing surprised him.

Rose turned her body upside down and was shocked when she saw the door shut, but El was in her room. He narrowed his eyes with a sharp look.

"Master, I hope you don't forget our agreement!"
