The Azure Sword God
Hidden Places

Phoenix Mountain

“Jian Chen, this place is really uncomfortable. It is even hotter than the desert. Is there really something special here?” As he walked slowly, Xiao Yu complained because the place they came to very quickly made the body exhausted.

Even Hui-Ying meowed because she did not like the place.

Jian Chen was only silent when he heard Xiao Yu and Hui-Ying whine. He was also increasingly curious about the place they entered called the Barren Land because it was like absorbing every bit of fluid in their body so that it very quickly made the body exhausted.

Using the Eternal Purple Crystal, Jian Chen still continued to trace where exactly the hot aura origin was that made the place barren.

After walking around the place in almost an hour, the exhausted Xiao Yu slowly sweated as the heat he felt grew higher. His skin was flushed because it was barely able to withstand the heat.

To Jian Chen, it was only slightly exhausted from trying to use its qi to withstand the heat. If only he had reached the Martial Grand Master, his qi would definitely envelop his body automatically if something went wrong towards the surrounding area. But right now, he could only use it manually and it was extremely difficult to extract qi from the entire body continuously to protect his body.

“Xiao Yu, use this.” Jian Chen took out a small container of water that he bought while on Lizawa Island. The liquid contains qi that can make the body fresh, it must work for times like this.

Xiao Yu who felt that his throat was very dry immediately accepted it and drank it. He felt a chill in all of his cells. He felt revived just by drinking the liquid even though it only held back the fatigue and heat for a while.

“Why didn't you take this out earlier? And when did you buy a liquid containing cold qi?” Xiao Yu asked slightly irritatedly because when he was almost dry like a mummy then Jian Chen gave him something like that.

“Lizawa Island. As I recall, you were only concerned with clothes before when we bought this thing together.” Jian Chen shook his head then drank the liquid qi in one container as well and gave it to Hui-Ying as well.

“Really?” Xiao Yu felt a little embarrassed for not remembering at all.

Jian Chen simply shook his head and continued walking in a random direction even though he was actually trying to detect where the most concentrated hot aura origin was.

Not long after, the temperature got higher when Jian Chen and Xiao Yu were in a fairly hard and dense area of rocks.

“Hm? Ruins?” Jian Chen's inner being stared at the slight rubble of the building although it was very small that almost fused with the rocks and sand.

In that place, the hot aura was also very stinging which made Hui-Ying stick out her tongue because it felt too hot like a dog.

“Here.” Jian Chen said while stopping on the spot.

“What's here?” Xiao Yu asked randomly without checking as he was about to become a mummy. He also tried to drain his qi to block the intense heat trying to burn his skin.

Jian Chen did not answer. He pulled out the Azure Sword from its scabbard and stabbed it into the sand mixed with fairly solid rocks. He also drained his qi in large enough quantities and turned it into an explosion.

“Explosion Qi!”

When his qi penetrated deep enough and when he felt that the amount of qi he used was enough, Jian Chen immediately blew it up.

Duars!

Jian Chen instantly unsheathed the Azure Sword then swung it towards the front so that all the sand and rocks did not fall into place.

“Azure Sword, Blast Slash!”

The sraing! The sraing! The sraing!

As Jian Chen swung the Azure Sword, it instantly produced blades then the three blades hit the boulders heavily and then exploded.

The bomb! The bomb! The bomb!

Because of the explosion, the sand and rocks immediately spread to a place far enough away.

After sheathing the Azure Sword, Jian Chen gazed downwards, a deep enough hole he made.

“It seems that there is indeed something hidden in this place. Xiao Yu, come on in.” Jian Chen who was staring at an underground cave immediately jumped inside without waiting for a reply from Xiao Yu.

Xiao Yu who initially wanted to get angry was surprised because there was indeed something in the place. He immediately jumped inside because his fire spirit burned to beat the fatigue and unbearable heat.

When entering the hole over ten meters deep, Jian Chen could feel that the heat in that place was twice as high as the surface.

“Xiao Yu, use your qi to withstand this heat. Also, bring four containers of this cool qi liquid to keep your body fit.” Jian Chen said as he handed the four containers to Xiao Yu and he immediately moved into the passageway which had a very hot temperature.

Xiao Yu accepted it and drank a container. He also directly used his qi and after that directly followed Jian Chen from behind.

Both of them were moving at full speed this time. Although the place was quite dark, cultivators would not be too hard to see. Aside from that, Hui-Ying directly used her ability to light up the path.

“This heat and this aura.” Jian Chen narrowed his eyes as he tracked down the faint aura earlier now clearly visible a sign that the source of the heat was already very close.

Not long after, Jian Chen arrived at an underground cave that was quite spacious because when moving, they were like walking down the road to the bottom.

Jian Chen immediately stopped on the spot as what was in front of him looked like an abyss.

Xiao Yu who arrived, looked at the place with excited eyes. “Jian Chen, is it a Treasure? Also, look there! Where does hot water that contains a lot of qi come from? I'm sure it's higher water temperature than lava!”

Jian Chen's gaze also swept across all of the underground caves that were beneath them. Right on one of the stones made a square ten meters high, there was a box, having a size of 2x1.

On the outskirts of the beach, there was a lot of water flowing out steam which was none other than qi. What Xiao Yu said was true, the water temperature was likely hotter than the lava so that it made all the places barren even though the water was deep in the ground.

However, what caught Jian Chen's attention was the emblem on the box, which was an orange bird. The ornament also let out steam as if the ornament was alive.
