WHERE'S MY SON'S BODY ?
Part 12's
Sulis crying terggugu. Heart's claustrophobic. Suddenly he heard the sound of a slashing scream from the house mbok Darmi.
"Aarghhh, help!!!"
Sulis, who had been sitting on the floor holding Damar's diary, now tried to stand with difficulty because his legs and knees were still shaking. Sulis' mind was still digesting the story he had just read.
Finally after stabilizing the breath, Sulis slowly returned the Damar book to its original place. Just as Sulis was about to look at Darmi's house from his open window, Sulis heard a loud cry. Half-running, Sulis headed to Adinda's room and looked for the cause of Adinda's crying.
Immediately replaced the diaper Adinda wet exposed to defecation, with a new clean diaper. Then Sulis immediately took a pull and carried Dinda while carrying her out of the house to the house mbok Darmi, the origin of the scream.
"Please! Help my mother!"
Sulis had just closed and locked the door of his house, suddenly Surti's voice asked for help from his house. With a hurry, several neighbors around Mbok Darmi's house immediately came out of their respective homes and headed for Surti's house.
The village had just been lit up by the land, when some villagers were crowding and stirring with the conditions of Mbok Darmi. From the tip of his hair to the tip of his feet, Mbok Darmi seemed filled with scabs that were bleeding and also festering in a state of fainting in his bedroom bed. Made some villagers nauseous and almost vomited.
Seeing that, Sulis was flabbergasted. Suddenly he remembered about the room in the house mbok Darmi whose condition was like the condition of the shaman's room.
Actually Sulis really wanted to ask Surti or mbok Darmi mumpung there are residents around them, but he was afraid if his question turned into an accusation against him.
"Darmi has experienced something like this yesterday?" ask one of the residents.
Surti shook his head.
"No. Yesterday mom was fine."
"When did your mother start in this condition?"
"I don't know exactly when you became like this, but I found you with this disease just now. When I want to sweep the house. Know-how I saw my mother had fainted like this, sir," said Surti. Tears were coming from his cheeks.
The villagers looked. There was a look of fear on their faces.
"It's obviously the witchcraft sent by the shaman. It is impossible for someone to suffer from severe diseases, especially skin diseases overnight if not exposed to witchcraft," said another resident.
All the citizens are silent.
"Or not-don't waiters in this village angry because yesterday someone dismantled the tomb in the village. The dead bodies that have been buried, disassembled again. Could it make the village guard angry?!"
Faint murmurs were heard again.
"We'll take him to the hospital first. We need to know the disease. About the cause we'll throw out. If there are people in this village who embrace black magic and can send you witchcraft, we'll burn it alive!" exclaim a citizen full of anger.
"Agreed, before the witchcraft in different forms terrorizes the citizens of other villages!" greet the other residents.
"But if indeed the cause of the Darmi mbok to be like this is because of the anger of the villagers due to the tomb being demolished, we will hold the police accountable!"
"Again, now we take Darmi first to the hospital. I will report this to Mr. Slamet. Mr. Slamet should know that the condition of his village is not safe and is not okay" said another resident.
Sulis gulped. He immediately remembered the banaspati that had been hovering around his room. The ball that Damar managed to throw out. Sulis is not an indigo or sixth sense. But Sulis had read and heard about the rumor if someone failed to send santet to others, then the santet would turn attacking to the sender.
Once again Sulis stared at the unconscious Mbok Darmi with a million thoughts. 'Could it be that Darmi intends to send me some witchcraft but for failing to return to him?'
Sulis sat down while holding her son in the living room chair. Seeing the excitement and confusion of the people in the house mbok Darmi. There is a suggestion to call an ambulance but there are those who insist on taking Darmi directly to the nearest hospital.
Sulis stood up from his seat and momentarily hesitated to say any information about the banaspati. The problem is that all this time the village where Sulis' husband is still fine. And of course Sulis is confused why he became nervous especially after the Damar case that disappeared.
But to be honest, Sulis still could not believe the villagers. He also had to be vigilant because the wrong talk about sensitive matters such as witchcraft could make the villagers go berserk and provoked.
Sulis sighed in relief after finding such an idea. He immediately grabbed his phone and sent a message to Damar's teacher.
[Assalamualaikum, Mr. Eko. I want to tell you about the terrible thing that just happened in the village. It has nothing to do with Damar, but who knows it is not criminal. Can we meet after you teach?]
Message sent and still tick one. 'Hm, it's possible that Mr. Eko is still busy with the preparation of teaching and learning, ' Sulis' mind while putting his phone back into his negligee pocket.
Suddenly there was the sound of siren ambulance coming roaring from the yard outside the house mbok Darmi. And once the ambulance stopped, the residents immediately came out of the house mbok Darmi as well as Sulis.
The view of Sulis berirobok with Slamet sir who turned out to follow the ambulance with his car. Mr. Slamet immediately ran into the house mbok Darmi along with two male nurses in white uniforms by pushing a branch.
Villagers held their breaths as Darmi's stocky body was taken out of the house to board an ambulance by the two nurses. While Mr. Slamet seemed to talk to Surti.
"What happened to Mbok Darmi, Sur?" ask Mr. Slamet with a worried tone.
Surti looked at the village chief doubtfully and then told what had happened according to the description that had been explained to the villagers.
Mr. Slamet sighed. Two villagers approached them. "Sir, the hospital nurse said there should be one person who delivered Darmi mbok and took the ambulance for the examination in the ER later" one of the villagers reported.
Mr. Slamet stared at the two villagers and Surti alternated. "Sur, you just go with Darmi mbok to the hospital yes let me follow from behind" said Mr. Slamet.
Surti. "But sir, I don't have the money to treat mom."
"Don't worry, Sur. I have the money" said Mr. Slamet.
Surti. "Sir, but I have not prepared the clothes and other needs of the mother. Hows it? Is the ambulance willing to wait longer because I will prepare the needs and clothes of the mother in the hospital?"
Mr. Slamet thought for a moment. "No need, Sur. You leave right now. Mbok Darmi faster to help would be better. If it turns out later mbok Darmi must be hospitalized, let me give you money and compensation. You can buy your needs and your mother's in the hospital cooperative," said Mr. Slamet firmly.
The villagers stared in awe at Mr. Slamet.
"Well, we're very lucky to have a good and caring village head, handsome too. He was still a young village chief. Lucky for his wife. Unfortunately have not had children even though they have been married long enough, yes" whispered one of the villagers.
The villager standing next to her elbowed her friend's stomach.
"Sst, don't be so loud by the way. It's not good to sound like Mr. Slamet. You are also strange. If you want to muji, just muji. Do not follow the phrase 'but dear'," said one of the villagers by swerving towards his friend. Making his friend cover his mouth with a guilty palm and facial expression.
Soon Surti got into the ambulance, and the white car turned on the sirens wailing from Darmi's house to the hospital.

After the ambulance arrived at the hospital, the nurses deftly and carefully opened the back door of the car and pushed the branch towards the ER room.
A guard doctor who saw the condition mbok Darmi shriveled his forehead. Quickly, the bespectacled male doctor put on a glove and grabbed a stethoscope and approached Darmi.
The doctor carefully examined the heart rate and pressed the skin of the fifty-five-year-old woman slowly. He then said to the nurse, "pair 2 lpm of oxygen, check the tension and install the infusion of RL."
The nurses nodded and swiftly put on gloves as well to carry out the guard doctor's instructions.
The doctor then walked out of the ER patient's check room and went back to the wooden table.
"Family of patients who have just arrived, please come here. There are some questions that I will give and to fill out the medical action form" said the doctor.
"I'm his son, Doc!"
Mr. Slamet gave Surti the code to go to the doctor and fill out the patient form, while Mr. Slamet peeked at the condition of Mbok Darmi from the curtain that unfolds in the ER.
'Mother, what should I do now?' batin pak Slamet was confused while looking sadly at mbok Darmi who was still unconscious.
