Second Son

Miguel was still anxiously awaiting news from his son and wife on the doorstep of the operating room.

Moments later, a nurse came out of the operating room, and Miguel came to her.

"Suster, what about my wife and daughter?" ask Miguel.

"Your wife's condition is quite stable, it's just …."The nurse stopped her words.

"What is it?" sister asked Miguel to be more anxious.

"Only your baby has a weak heart," continued the nurse, "when born, the baby Lady Cecilia in the skin and her nails turn blue, the baby did not cry when born," said the nurse.

Miguel widened his eyes to hear the nurse's words, slowly his eyeballs dewed.

"Weak heart" muttered Miguel softly. 

Shortness immediately felt in his chest, when imagining how the fate of his son now.

"Excuse me sir" said the Sister, leaving Miguel frozen.

Moments later a nurse came back out of the operating room pushing a glass tube inside with a baby.

Seeing this, Miguel followed her.

"What is this baby, Miss Cecilia's baby ?" ask Miguel. Miguel's eyeballs flushed red when he saw some medical devices attached to the body of his tiny baby.

Slowly Miguel's tears trickled down looking at the baby inside the glass tube.

"Yes, sir" replied the Sister.

Miguel fingered the glass tube with a dewy eyeball.

The poor baby was asleep with an oxygen hose under his tiny nose.

"Why is your fate like this, son," muttered Miguel sadly and softly.

I don't feel her tears coming back.

"Sorry sir, I must immediately bring this baby to intensive room, because this baby must immediately get treatment as soon as possible" said the Sister.

"Well sister, do your best for her" replied Miguel.

"Yes sir, we will definitely do our best, then excuse me first sir," said the Sister again she passed away leaving Miguel.

Miguel follows the nurse who turns out to be entering the newborn's care room.

When he arrived in the room, Miguel was about to see the condition of the baby directly.

Miguel entered the room, but his footsteps were blocked by a nurse.

"Sorry sir, for a while you are not allowed to enter, because the condition of your baby who must immediately get treatment and this room must also always be sterile" said the nurse.

"But I want to see the state of my baby directly nurse," Miguel protested.

"Please look through the glass wall" said the nurse.

"Alright," said Miguel as he stepped foot but there was something that made him come back to the sister 

"Mister," replied the sister.

"Male?" muttered Miguel, while exhaling his breath violently.

Miguel headed for the glass wall of the room, from where he could see several medical personnel seen surrounding the glass tube where the baby was placed.

Miguel's heart was filled when he saw the baby again mounted a tool on his chest.

The tightness of the iron felt in Miguel's chest He was only able to sigh long.

After a while the paramedics left the baby alone.

After confirming the condition of the baby has been treated, Miguel then look for the whereabouts of Cecilia.

Cecilia has been moved to the treatment room. 

Miguel walked over to Cecilia who was lying on her bed.

"How are you doing?" ask Miguel calmly.

"Miguel, have you seen our son?" ask Cecilia.

Miguel nodded.

"In fact, he must be handsome like you," Cecilia cetus again, Miguel just replied with a nod.

"I'm so happy to have a son for you, Miguel. Our child will definitely grow up to be a smart and healthy child" Cecilia said expectantly.

"Yes thank you for giving birth to a son for me" Miguel replied, holding Cecilia's hand. Miguel was worried that Cecilia would be shocked to hear the state of the baby she was born with.

"Where is our son Miguel?  I want to see it," asked Cecilia.

Miguel then rubbed the head of Cecilia.Cecilia did not know if the baby had a birth defect.

Maybe because Cecilia's condition is not stable post-surgery, so the nurse did not tell about the state of her son.

"Cecilia, our son is currently in the ICU newborn care room" Miguel said.

"Well!" cecilia's mouth was shocked to hear Miguel's words.

"Our son why is Miguel, what happened to him?" ask Cecilia.

Miguel stared at Sicily with a sad gaze.

"Whether we have a heart defect, at birth the weight was only 4.8 pont," Miguel said.

"Huh, heart defect?!"Cecilia was shocked to hear from Miguel.
