The Five Days Or Die

The Five Days Or Die
Chapter 9's

Pov: Ahmed

“I'm stupid! I'm stupid! I'm stupid!” my meaning to myself. I could see nothing but darkness in my eyes.

“I should have believed Nadin, I should have believed my heart! Why do I do this! I am a fool!” now, it's just regret that's on my chest until my chest feels claustrophobic, filled with that regret.

Now I feel good about what happened. But I don't really know what happened. Even now, I don't know what. All I know is that I'm in a very dark world. But I can still feel my body.

“Did I die? Is this heaven, or hell? Is this my end? What about my friends, my sister and others. Are they safe?” all those stupid questions that no one could answer were weighing on my mind.

I felt my body drift, like in a vacuum, yet strangely I was still able to hold onto something.

“What is this?” I don't know what it is. But whatever it is, I won't let it go until this is all over.

“Maybe this is a journey between life and death. After I die, I am very chatty. Ha ha.” A floating object hit me. I'm shocked. A second later, a large object hit me from behind, and I knew nothing after that.

I opened my eyes, it felt like I was stranded in the middle of nowhere that I didn't know when and where. Turns out, I still bagged the story I made for this time machine.

I looked to the right, and I saw, I was still holding Ranti's hand. Immediately I was shocked, looking around me. Objects scattered, my friend and my sister lying.

What the hell's going on? Our warehouse was out of shape, more like a broken ship. I woke them all up.

“Ranti! Wake up! Ran, wake up please wake up.” I said patting his cheek. She started to slowly cling, and before she realized what was happening, I asked her to wake Dani up. And I woke up my sister and cousin Dani.

“What's up? Am I bad luck again?” said Dani.

“Friends of friends, I must say with regret, we are all in the past.” Ahmad said straight to the point. Everyone there was shocked, and looked around them.

“Lo clean last when the hell Mad? What warehouse is gini? Let's go out.” Said Dani who had not realized anything. Suddenly everyone turned to the stairs, which had been empty turned into a hole that from the outside emitted rays, the only source of light that was there.

An expanse of mountains, rice fields, as well as a clear river that flows fast next to our warehouse, and a city that looks beautiful. I wonder, where maybe when I was 5 years old things were still this beautiful.

“Mantaap-france. This is the year when can a really good cake gini? Lo setting to what year is Mad?” ask Dani. I just kept quiet, turned to my sister, who had not spoken before, maybe just said to her mind.

“Okay friends, because we are here, why not enjoy it first? How about you all go see see, and I'll sort things out here.” I said in an easy tone, when things are not that easy. I was just trying to calm things down. If we panic, something worse will happen.

“I'm here, help brother Ahmad.” Nadin Sahut.

“I too!” said Ranti.

“Yakin? Brarti we both doang nih? Okay fine! We are looking for food! Come Din!” said Dani, who still thinks this is a beautiful thing, and invited her cousin, Dian. They immediately went down the small hill, and headed for a town not too far from there.

While I immediately went in, checked the time machine, while Nadin collected the goods, and rearranged them.

Ranti touched my shoulder and smiled, maybe she knew it was difficult, and eventually we all packed the goods, making it look like a decent house, with a clean floor and clean water available at any time coming from the river water next to our warehouse.

Until finally, the afternoon. When Dani and Dian returned, brought food, and some food that was still unprocessed. Maybe for them it was a great camp, but for me, it was a disaster.

I'm lucky, only the warehouse got carried away, not one town got carried away with us. I'm luckier, when I'm just thrown into the past, not someplace more horrible. I'm lucky, too, to be here with my friends and my sister, and make sure they're all safe.

“I know everything. I get it.” Ranti patted me on the shoulder, maybe she understood the situation, but not my feelings, which brought them all here, and got them stuck in the past and might not be able to go back forever.

“I understand how you feel, but this is not your fault. We all don't know, what happened, and we all know it.” Ranti guessed my mind. Well, maybe he knows.

“Soo, you already know, right? Our situation is stranded in this period until the time machine can be restored? And I'm not sure, with all we've got now, we can go back to the real time. And this is all my fault. And I don't know what else to do now.” I said to put my face to my knees. Ranti sat next to me, trying to comfort me.

“Yahh, how else, this may indeed be our destiny. Nature may have put us together here. Together, we are strong. Together, we look after each other. I'm sure, if Dani has been able to find a minimarket, then we can definitely find materials to repair the machine. I'm sure you can. I'm sure, we can definitely.” Ranti said holding my hand, strengthening me. Thanks to him, I feel calmer. At least for now. Because right now all I need is calm down. Suddenly, Nadin approached me with an anxious face.
