11th Street Cafe
Alea arrived at the cafe, which is just one block from the AJ Corp building, and the girl chose to walk away. Alea knew that even though she was alone, her daddy always sent a shadow bodyguard to protect her.
Alea, like her other cousins, can taekwondo and shoot martial arts even though she doesn't like it very much. This afternoon Alea was wearing a white shirt and black pants, boots and a long Coat. Her cute face was radiantly enjoying the spring sun. The weather in New York is not like in Los Angeles although winter can reach temperatures of 10°C but because it is exposed to the equator, California there is no snow.
Alea crossed over to Cafe, 11th Street Cafe, because it is located on 11th Street. The cafe is known for its better coffee than Starbucks. The cafe is small on the corner of the Western Manhattan street and if the brunch or lunch hour, it is crowded with visitors.
The girl went inside the cafe and started looking for a seat.
"Alea Hamilton" called someone who made Alea turn her head.
"David?" Alea looked at the man who called out to her. "You... work here?" Alea was surprised to see her college friends working in this cafe.
"Yes, I work here. You want to have lunch?"
Alea nodded. "There is... empty table... for two people? I'll have lunch with my friend." Alea's face slightly lowered as usual if her embarrassment appeared.
"There but a little inside. How's it?" David looked at the beautiful girl.
"It's okay..."
"Alea!" chris's voice made the two turn their heads and the girl lowered her head so that Chris would not see her reddened face.
"Is he your friend who wants to have lunch together?" david asked with a dislike.
"I.iya. Any places?" alea asked a little glance at Chris.
David nodded then looked intently at Chris who came to the two.
"I'm sorry I'm late" Chris told Alea.
"It's okay. A.. I am also new ... until" Alea said with a smile.
David simply walked ahead of Alea and Chris to the seat that was in the inner area of the cafe.
The two sat down and David gave the menu a little rough to Chris who just stared flat at the man while Alea scolded David softly.
"Don't be like that, Dave, or we're off lunch here" Alea said softly but sounded cold. Chris just looked at the beautiful girl in front of him.
David just grunted softly and left the two of them..
"Your friend Alea?" ask Chris.
"Tuition buddies used to be only one class but I wasn't too close" Alea replied as he was.
"She seems to like you, Lea."
Alea just spread her shoulders indifferently. "I don't like him. Something makes me uncomfortable."
Chris smiled. Just this time Alea spoke without any pause.
Another servant came to the two and recorded their order and resigned.
"What was last night .. is there a case?" aela asked, remembering last night she heard a loud voice when Chris called her.
"There was an attempt to hijack the car" Chris replied.
"Where?"
"Near Central Park. And we were chasing last night" chirped Chris. "You can't watch TV, right?"
"I'm a man who rarely watches TV."
Chris smiled. "I thought so."
The arrival of the waiter who brought the order made the two stop their conversation.
Alea ordered her favorite salmon salad and macchiato ice caramel while Chris ordered a salmon sandwich, a bottle of mineral water and an Americano coffee.
"A big fan of salmon?" chris asked as he watched Alea eat her salad deliciously.
"I'm a big fan of salmon. If you're told to choose between salmon or chicken, I'll choose salmon..." Alea fell silent. "Sorry..."
Chris looked at the cute girl confused. "Why apologize Alea?"
"I'm too talkative." whispered Alea who made Chris gawk.
"I like it when my opponent talks a lot because we're enjoying lunch, right?" Chris gave his sweet smile making Alea's face flushed red.
Chris then tells the story of Ghani Giandra and Raymond Ruiz who is known as the captain of the police who straight his life and unforgiving with criminals.
"There's a story that Opamu Raymond Ruiz got a gunshot wound in an unusual place and became a month-to-month in Manhattan's major crime division."
"In the ass!" chris Puckle.
"Seriously?" Alea knew how many times his eyes had been hit by gunshot wounds, and Opa Ghani almost lost his life several times.
"Seriously and said the seniors, Opamu to have to sit on a soft pillow for several months" said Chris.
"Oh God." Alea laughed at the thought of her famous cool-ass op having to sit uncomfortable as her butt was shot.
"But Opamu Ghani, early retirement huh?"
Alea nodded knowing the story. "At that time Oom Bara, Opa Ghani's son, went missing in the south sea from Bali to Jakarta. And Opa Ghani feels lost to be unable to work optimally here. Finally Opa decided to retire early and return to Jakarta Indonesia."
"Then how's your Oom?"
"Alhamdulillah Oom Bara is still alive despite the time of amnesia but the important life and Opa Ghani spirit again. But that's what my cousin told me about Opa Ghani's direct grandson."
Chris can judge Alea will be more comfortable when talking about work and family. If that is so, will know that in fact the girl is a lot of people.
"Alhamdulillah is still given age" said Chris.
"You..why not tired?" asked Alea who thought if going to the night shift Chris should go home for a break.
"I'm going home and sleeping because it's still night shift."
"Front month..so detective?" ask Alea.
"Yes. I'm in the special victim unit."
Alea's face was shocked. "That's not the violent crime division of women and children?"
"Yes." Yeah."
Alea's face looked anxious. "Word bang Joey, that's. Because. bang Joey how many times to help victims of domestic violence."
"I know Alea but this is an order from the center."
"Is ... like the classic television series Law and Order SVU?"
"Almost similar though probably much worse than that tv series."
Alea still had an anxious face. "If I can't ..."
"Because you have a soft heart, Alea. You can't bear the guy" Chris' smile that made the girl blush her face.
Geez! Alea is really Princess Hamilton.
"Alea..."
"Yes?"
"Is Alaric an Emir?"
Alea looked confused. "Bang Al is indeed an Emir in Dubai. Why?"
"Your families are from different countries?" Honestly, Chris could only be silent when he called Aminah trying to find out Alea's family. The Sultan's family actually.
"We're a fucked up family indeed... Have a diverse citizen" Alea said with a laugh.
"Alea... If I take you for a ride on the bike, would you?" ask Chris.
"Where?" Alea's face seemed calm because all this time Ezra and Keia forbade him to learn to ride a motorcycle even though Alea knew her mommy was good at driving a tank. Keia and Sabine both like military activities even more Keia allows Alea to drive a tank. Keia's reason, the wheel tank is a lot to be safe, while the only two motors need balance and easy accidents that make Alea miss hearing the absurd reason mommy.
"Where do you want."
"You! But you let both my parents go first."
Chris nodded. "Of course, my Humaira."
Alea's face turned red.
Dare to call Humaira
