43. Helping the Little Girl

Three days later, Xu Tian and Bai Hu arrived at a mountain range.

From far away they both saw a huge puff of smoke behind the mountain.

" Young master, does it seem like something has happened in the city?" Said Bai Hu staring at the last city before they arrived at the border of the Eastern Region and the Middle Region.

" Right, there seems to have been an attack there." Xu Tian exhaled, though he wanted to rest in the city after a tiring journey.

For three days the two of them continued moving without resting in order to arrive at the border immediately.

But when they decided to rest, it was not in line with expectations.

Xu Tian and Bai Hu darted towards the city, until upon arriving above the sky, they could see the buildings that had been destroyed and burned.

" Young master, it seems like the attacker just happened a moment ago," Bai Hu scanned the place around him

Xu Tian did the same, until his gaze was fixed on a little girl of about 5 years old crying in front of the corpses of his parents.

" Bai Hu, check all the places in this city. I will help the poor girl," said Xu Tian who then disappeared from her place.

Bai Hu immediately carried out Xu Tian's order to inspect every corner of the city.

" Josh...."

Xu Tian appeared next to the little girl who looked seedy and dirty, looking shabby clothes and her face covered in dust.

" Little brother, what happened?" Xu Tian asked by positioning his body crouching before the little girl.

The little girl looked extremely frightened upon seeing Xu Tian's arrival.

" Mister, forgive me," The girl said with beautiful eyeballs radiating sadness and fear.

Xu Tian smiled with a sliced heart looking at the state of the poor girl in front of him.

" Little sister, there's no need to be afraid. Big brother is not a bad person," Xu Tian said by caressing the top of the little girl's head affectionately.

" Is it true that Big Brother isn't a bad person like them?" The little girl looked at Xu Tian doubtfully.

Xu Tian nodded his head with a friendly smile. " Look at my eyes, are you lying?"

The little girl looked at Xu Tian's two eyeballs with her innocent gaze. After a while the little girl nodded her head.

" Sister, can I ask you something?" The little girl was hopeful.

" Of course, tell me what you want?"

The little girl stared at the bodies of her parents. " I want to bury the bodies of my parents, will you help me?"

Xu Tian smiled, again a strange feeling so painful seeped into his heart.

He looked at the little girl who looked different than before, where when he first saw her crying, but now the little girl looked very strong with what happened to her.

" Sister will help you. Let's do it now," Xu Tian said with a move of his hand.

" Josh..." The two bodies of the lifeless couple floated in the air.

" Where are we going to bury him?" Ask Xu Tian.

The girl pointed towards the house that had now been shattered into ruins.

Xu Tian nodded his head, then moved his hand back making two holes.

The little girl immediately looked for a broken wooden block, then stuck it on a mound of earth by writing the names of her parents.

When she finished, the girl once again cried by touching the mound of earth in front of her, where both were the graves of her Father and Mother.

" dad.. Mother.. Yue'er would not cry anymore, this was the last time Yue'er cried, after which Yue'er would become a submissive child. Yue'er is very affectionate with Father and Mother.." The little girl continued to talk a lot in front of the graves of her parents.

Where she promised to take care of herself, would visit if there was time, would be a strong girl.

Xu Tian who was standing one meter behind the little girl, started to wipe away the tears that had suddenly just seeped out.

" Uncle and Aunty need not worry, I will take care of it with my own life. May uncle and aunt be calm there," Xu Tian said in his heart.

Xu Tian had been determined to look after and take care of the little girl.

Ten minutes later, the girl began to rise from her previous position, then gazed towards Xu Tian.

" Sister, thank you.." Said the girl bending her body.

Xu Tian walked over, then hugged her very tightly.

The girl returned Xu Tian's embrace by crying again. Xu Tian stroked his back gently trying to calm down.

Xu Tian knew how he felt, even Xu Tian was greatly amazed at his stubbornness. How she tried to be strong and not look whiny, but how also the little girl was still five years old where she still desperately needed the affection of both her parents.

Poor girl, living a long day without anyone by her side. Xu Tian clenched his hands in anger. " Whoever does this, I promise to make him feel a better death than to live in torture,"

Xu Tian who sensed the little girl had calmed down, then let go of his embrace slowly. Until the moment he looked at the little girl's face, Xu Tian smiled by rubbing her face slowly.

" She's very tired." Xu Tian then carried the little girl who was now soundly asleep.

Before leaving, Xu Tian made a mark on the tomb of the couple, then made a formation before leaving the place.

" Josh...." Xu Tian moved slowly so as not to disturb the little girl who was in his carrying.

Until a while later, Bai Hu came towards him.

" Young master," Bai Hu slowly looked at the bewildered Xu Tian who was now carrying a little girl.

Xu Tian then explained to Bai Hu about what had happened earlier. He also said he would take care of her and take care of her.

Bai Hu nodded her head, then the two of them immediately looked for a comfortable place to rest.

" Swush....." The two of them continued to move casually.

Until a while later, Xu Tian saw the crowd in a building that was still standing in the city.

" Young master, it seems like there is an inn," said Bai Hu gazing towards the building which was now about fifty meters away from where the two of them were.

Bai Hu himself confirmed that, from the results of his investigation, it seemed like the group that did this was all just for fun.

Xu Tian smiled faintly at Long Hei's words. He did not expect that someone would be so willing to do this.

Although he was not a good person either, but Xu Tian only killed those who deserved to be killed.
