Chapter 03 - [Hunting Festival Events ]

...CHAPTER 3 - HUNTING FESTIVAL EVENT...

"Consider everything, the Hunting Festival Event will start in 5 minutes. So get ready in front of the village gate. The Hunting grounds you all know, which is in the Bloody Forest. So just get there!" the Host.

From the delivery of the Host, we were all asked to go straight to the village gate.

The gate is located in the South of the village and is the entrance to the Bloody forest.

So I went straight to the Gate with a few participants following.

"Oh, quite crowded," I said, watching the crowd near the gate.

Arriving at the gate, I saw a crowd of people inside and outside the gate.

Many of those watching on the side of the street, were heard cheers and cheers from residents and tourists.

"Huff ... Fuouh.." I took a breath and threw it away.

Then I prepared a position a little far from the gate.

Not far from me, I saw Father approaching me and waving in response.

Then there were about 12 Participants including Father and I who were outside the gate.

They had already prepared themselves from the weapons and equipment they were carrying.

This year's competition is tougher.

All the participants immediately rushed towards the Bloody Forest and they started to split up.

Father has disappeared since entering the forest, whereas I went to the point where the hunting grounds with the most wild animals were.

If through my experience, there should be some wild animals like very agile rabbits or rather aggressive wild boars around here.

Just as I was thinking so, there was a sound around the bushes not far from me.

I saw a rabbit appear from there, but the little animal disappeared into a hole made by him.

So I walked back to the forest to find other animals.

"From the requirements of the hunt, I should be able to take a considerable Quality or Quantity as a point assessment."

Because, if I hunt a large enough wild animal like a Wild Boar or Deer; the points I get will be many.

Since to determine the winner of the Event, the most points will determine it.

Also if I can, I want to fight a big animal like the Black Bear if I'm lucky.

Because the points of such a kind of bear would be greater by hunting them down.

It's just that, game like Rabbits, squirrels or small birds can be hunted. However, the points obtained are not as much as the hunt with a large size.

If I'm not lucky, I might have to fight a magic monster.

But as I recall, in this forest there should be no Monsters. Although there are, it may still be managed by Adventurers.

As I was thinking about the event, footsteps could be heard in the bushes in front of me.

"Gotcha, there's a Wild Pig!" I drew the iron sword.

The size is not large, but the pig looks to be eating chocolate mushrooms there.

Also it seems like the boar I was hanging from was not taken by other participants, just brought a wolf closer.

However, the Wolf had noticed me for a moment I was careless to come to the Pig I was hanging.

It was twice the size of a Pig, so surely this Wolf was quite strong.

I unsheathed my iron sword towards the Wolf and swung straight along avoiding the incoming Wolf bite.

Since I fought the Brown Wolf often and the like while still an adventurer, I was confident in facing it.

Because I believe I can rely on this strengthened technique to defeat him.

"Strade Technique, Sharp Blade!!" my words were instantaneously the iron sword shrouded in white Aura.

I will bring all my hunts to earn points and continue the hunt after bringing everything to the village.

So I hung up all my hunts and waited for them to dry after 10 minutes. There should be plenty of time waiting.

So I sat down near the riverbank and started eating the provisions prepared for me while being wary of going around.

After everything was sterilized, I headed straight to the end of the forest and put all the quarry I had brought onto the cart that had been prepared for the show.

It was roughly an hour more passed from the moment the event started and it was also the time where I spent the remaining time by lifting all my hunts from the forest all the way to the cart.

Ugh, I think I need to buy a magic bag in the capital next time.

Near the Konora Village Gate.

I got in front of the village gate and found some participants taking their quarry towards the square where the village chief was to assess the hunting results.

After a long wait, it was my turn.

The village chief and the Event Committee started checking my quarry.

"Wahhat?! You hunted this much, Ren??" the village chief was surprised and looked at me with pleasure.

"..yeah?" I said with a questioning tone.

I was a little surprised to see the village chief who was so surprised by the quarry I brought. Isn't this kind of result common?

I remember you could get more hunts than this in a day.

"I'm not tired, so I'm leaving! Remember I'll bring more of this!!" my words declared to him.

I immediately ran towards the Bloody Forest quickly after saying so.

On the other hand, Amelia pouted and blushed.

"Hmph, I hope you're not lying."

In the Forest, I found two boys I knew.

Doglass and Rico were right in the middle of the road and looked busy.

They tried to catch the Wild Boar and it appeared that both of them were holding swords.

"Hm?" So I stopped and looked at them.

But I haven't seen. They failed and the Wild Boar escaped.

"Damn! It was almost.." said Doglass with annoyance.

"..."

He looked at Rico.

"..."

"..?"

Silent..

"Speak!" said annoyed.

"Ah, yes.. You're right, Doglass.." Rico answered flatly.

It seems to be busy there too.

I'll just go.

Then I found Dad on the street with 2 Wild Boars on both shoulders.

"Oh, Dad. You brought 2 pigs, huh?"

"Haha! Look Ren! Your father got 2 pigs!!"

Seriously, I'm proud to hear that I haven't got 3 Wild Boars. Then, if you sterilize both Pigs it's better than making your body dirty with blood.

"Dad, can't you just sterilize those two pigs?"

Dad ran quickly towards the forest exit with a laugh.

It's a little noisy but that's it.

Then I headed to the middle of the forest to look for another quarry, although I guess I saw what shouldn't be here.

Then I looked up.

"Haha.. Isn't this dangerous?"

There was a huge monster staring at me hungry.

It fizzed with hunger.
