The Handsome Adjutant
Chapter 10

Treasure in Granny's Room?

"What's wrong with Granny?" tanya Giryo was still indifferent..

"There's nothing. I'm just asking, do you know any secrets about Granny that I don't know" Riski asked.

"none. You know, me and Granny aren't too close. It's just that he helped me a lot, gave me food, and took me to live with him. So I returned it by cooking. Because that's all the cleverness I have. What did you find in Granny's room?" tanya Giryo sat in front of Riski after finishing washing the dishes.

"Yes, I know the first story you met Granny. Are you sure Granny never told you anything, brother?" Riski tries to pry at Giryo.

"Yes if you know. I don't know what secrets Granny's keeping, Riski. What's wrong? You didn't answer my question. What's wrong with Granny? Why are you so curious? Aren't you cleaning Granny's room?"

"It's precisely because of that I want to know, Giryo. I haven't checked all Granny's belongings. You want to accompany me?"

"No, no. I have to go back to the store. On Sunday I will return and spend the night here. It's only Friday." Giryo.

Riski. Giryo headed for the fridge and picked up a bottle of mineral water, "I'm going."

"Eh, wait, Giryo. Which room do you want? The present room or the Granny's room?" riski exclaimed as Giryo was about to step away.

"As far as you are. It doesn't matter where I want to sleep," replied Giryo casually with a handsome face-decorating smile that began to wrinkle at eating age. "Well, I'll sleep in Granny's room and our room will be yours. Hows it? Do you agree?"riski said again.

Giryo nodded, then raised his hand and closed the door. Riski smiled at Giryo. He knew whatever he decided, Giryo would definitely agree. The man was not a voter, let alone a bedroom. Not a big deal.

After feeling that her stomach was not too full anymore, Riski began to open the box of padlocked crates. He picked up the flat screwdriver equipment and started trying to open the already rusty padlock. Even if there is a key, it will be difficult to open it.

After a while, Riski finally managed to open the lock. He cheered alone for his success. He immediately opened the chest and was shocked. It's just a bunch of old books. Riski clucked in annoyance, his job increasing again that of checking the books.

Just before lunch, he had opened all the paper boxes that were all books. Now, the padlocked crate is also a book! He doesn't understand that it's just old books and it doesn't matter why Granny keeps them for life.

Riski closed the box again and tried to open the second walled chest. He was a bit hesitant to open the walled coffin, as sure the contents would definitely not be much different from the first one.

Finally Riski picked up the flat screwdriver earlier and started prying the padlock. The condition of the padlock is almost the same as the first. Rusty and hard to open, but this padlock is a little different from the first. The second one is easier to open and does not require effort. Looks like this second chest is more often opened in the past.

There was only one more suitcase left that had not been dismantled. Riski's hopes of finding treasure again grew thinner. He wiped away the sweat that slid from his smooth forehead. The air was getting hotter and drier.

After finishing a bottle of cold mineral water from the fridge, Riski pulled the heavy old suitcase and started packing the padlock with a flat screwdriver. It was not in vain that he worked in the workshop for almost three years. This time it did not take long, just five minutes the suitcase was open.

Again Riski was surprised to see the contents of the suitcase. Dozens of ceramic jars with antique ornaments and paintings neatly arranged in a suitcase wrapped in bubble plastic to avoid jars clashing with each other, also soundproof.

"Oh my God, Granny! What's all this for?" riski exclaimed between flabbergasted and disappointed. If only the contents in the suitcase were money, wouldn't he be able to immediately stop being a bodyguard and find a new job without worrying about the rent. However, Riski realizes that he should be grateful that he became a bodyguard with a fairly high salary.

Riski sighed, then began to open the plastic bubble wrapping keramin-ceramic. Maybe the flea market wants to buy it, Riski thought as she continued to work. There is still a lot of work to be done, the books are still waiting to be examined for their usefulness. Phew....

There were twenty-two ceramic. jar-shaped, Riski stuffed everything on the table. Something is strange. Riski kept thinking, what is different between the twenty-two ceramics lined up?

He kept paying attention to the ceramics one by one. Then his hands began to lift one by one and looked down at the ceramics. Riski began to realize there were three different ceramics from the others.

It is not about shapes, colors and images, because all ceramics are shapes, colors and have the same image. However, the three ceramics separated by Riski have different weights. There is a small hole under the jar and also a rubber cover. Just like a ceramic piggy bank.

There was something ringing in it as Riski shook the ceramic. He began to hope to find something valuable there.

'Oh Granny, I hope this is something that can make my life more comfortable, ' Riski prayed in her heart,

The sound of a cell phone from inside the room breaks Riski's concentration as she tries to open the rubber cover of one of the ceramics.

"****! Who called me these nights!" as if Riski was walking towards the room. ' Cashel Ritter'! The name makes Riski's heart beat faster.

Riski quickly pressed the green button, and Cashel Ritter's voice immediately sounded from the phone's speaker.

"Yes, Sir?" greet Riski with a slightly quivering voice,

"Riski, when you come Monday morning, meet me soon!" order Cashel Ritter with a heavy bass voice

and assertive.

"Well, Mr. Cashel," replied Riski half-relieved. He has not been relieved completely because he does not know what Cashel needs Monday morning tomorrow.

I don't know if he'll be dismissed or if there's a new job other than looking after Miss Xaviera. Riski immediately put the phone on the room table after the phone disconnected. Just about to step out of the room suddenly Riski turns again on her phone, then presses the tombo off, and exits the room. He is now very enthusiastic about the ceramic jars on the table and does not want to be disturbed.
