The Hidden Secret

The Hidden Secret
Dad's Room

The house consists of three floors. The first floor of the living room is open, the family television room and also the dining room, of course adjacent to the kitchen. The second floor has rooms that my father and my brothers use. The third floor of my room next to the swimming pool is also a fairly spacious terrace and sports room is not far from my room.

As I recall, Dad's office is on the first floor. Right under the stairs, Dad was always overtime. I spend more time in his study. The workspace close to the kitchen makes it easier for Dad to take a drink when thirsty in the middle of the night. So I can't believe what you said and keep stepping into Dad's work space first.

Mm!! I don't think my brother's words were wrong. The room now contains unused items can be said warehouse. My fingers covering my face felt a little embarrassed because I knew, I had not returned to this house for a long time, of course, there were some things that changed. Just because my room is still the same as it used to be, I equalized everything. I gently scratched the head that was not itchy. Closing the door slowly, Big Brother glanced at me with a bated smile.

“Cih, not funny!!” My annoyance as it passes.

“Dih said aja shy!” Loud cries.

There was only one more room on the third floor and it was right next to my room. My heart was beating, stiff in front of the door of the room next to mine. This feeling was very different when I met my second brother, I was awkward to meet the brother earlier, but this feeling I can't even explain now.

I turn the doorknob. When the door opened, Dad was busy with a pile of documents on his desk, fingers with black inked pens busy incised on papers that kept changing. Now I can see the frown on his face indicating that Dad is getting older. The sensitive father of a man I remember, but now he doesn't even realize I opened the door.

When I was a kid, I tried to get close to Dad by constantly visiting Dad who was busy in his room. When I opened the door, the look of her sharp eyes was instantly fixed on me and “Go, don't bother me!!” that sentence that Dad said and still stuck in my heart. The same time my two brothers came to visit Dad, they were warmly welcomed by him. I who was still standing at the door kept being ignored until the door was closed again by my brother, it felt like I had no right to join them, but why was it just me? I used to wonder, but now I don't care anymore. The old story should I drown to the bottom of the deepest heart, it feels claustrophobic to remember it again.

With a heavy heart I stepped in “Why call Dad?” I asked him carefully trying to sound a little polite however he remains my father, my study also money from him. At least he didn't ignore me completely.

Dad fell silent, put pen on the table stopped all his activities. His face looked up at me, the look in his eyes was still the same sharp “You came home?!”

Speech that makes mixed feelings. Upset, angry, sick of everything being one moment. Jemari clenched tightly, I set my heart so as not to continue to be afraid of her words.

“Ah, yes. I came home Daddy” I smiled widely even my teeth seemed clear, but not with my heart throbbing pain.

Dad didn't flinch, just a flat look. At least say something so I don't feel ignored here.

Dad touched his chin, he watched me closely. Afterwards nodding slowly “How old are you?”

I turned my back, speechless to hear him, and he didn't even know my age. It was natural for an aging Father, yet again feeling ill with such questions.

“23 years!” I said a little bit, my mood is getting bad now. I don't seem to be good at pretending to be okay.

“No going!!” spontaneous talk.

What the hell is Dad saying, after a long time no see and just returned to this house. Now that he's talking marriage, Daddy wants to banish me subtly by talking marriage? Huh that's so funny.

Dad propped up his chin, he looked at me so sharply. The atmosphere turned gripping, it felt like I would still lose if faced with this harsh Father. After all, if you keep forcing me to get married then I choose to be more stubborn as I am.

“Edword, isn't he your fiancee?. She sent me a wedding message two days ago”, she said, taking out an envelope stamped from her desk drawer.

My forehead shriveled, hearing the name Edword made me heat up even more. After everything he's done to me lately, it's like nothing's ever happened. How could he bravely send my father a marriage proposal, he did not want to put his face in front of me again. Ah, I forgot men don't seem to have any shame. Maybe he thought I couldn't turn him down because my relationship with Dad wasn't good. Even if Dad told me I wouldn't agree to it. I know his intention to marry me was of course a beneficial cooperation with the Taran family, but here I was the one who was harmed.

“Which is true Dad, there's no way I'm getting married. I know for myself my two older brothers who are not married yet!!” lucky to have an unmarried sister apparently useful to reason.

“Not a problem if you want to get married first. Dad remember you loved that Edword so much?” his tone sounded high.

Cih, annoying. Loving Edword? That's the stupidity I once did, remembering it makes me nauseous. A handsome sock with that face that was busy making out with many women.

“I broke up with him. It happened so long ago, he's a bastard man!!” I sound sarcastic.

Looked Dad was a bit surprised to hear my words, Owh I made a mistake by saying impolite. I bowed down, what if Dad got angry, and asked me to get out of this house. After all, while I was gone, it didn't make the Taran family lose anything. I looked up slowly, trying to observe Dad's expression. Now that I'm worried, I don't have any money where I'm going.

"As soon as” Dad put the envelope back in his drawer.

“Back” tell him.

Just that, Dad called me just for that? There's nothing else? I looked at Father who was again busy with his activities, looking a small smile on his lips. What do you mean by that smile?.

“No one wants you to say anymore?” I asked so curious. I thought Dad would make hurtful remarks, say stabbing words to me, scold me, force me to stay married to Edword or other painful things.

Dad nodded slowly, without looking at me. I was busy with the documents again. I came out looking at Dad who was confusing me, until the door to my room was shut. I scratched my head slowly, astonished by the current situation. Oh, what a dizzy thing, I quickly dispelled those useless worries, it's a favorable situation for me.
